I’m reading that all is rosy in the garden at Stamford Bridge at the moment with several key players returning to the training. While there were no injuries reported in this round of international football. Werner, Lukaku, Alonso and Mount are all said to have returned to full training, although, there was no mention of Kovacic’s fitness whereabouts. Hope he returns before the United game, untill his injury he has been our best player and the best in midfield. Also Pulisic and Kante returned from international duty unscathed. Havertz is also fine.

What is wrong with the Liverpool defence! these days they can’t keep clean. but their attack is superior to anyone in the PL and will bail them out of trouble.

Paul Scholes has to be the worst pundit of the year, he is talking about nonsense and anti-Chelsea agenda. He seems to feel deep hatred towards Chelsea football club. It’s a shame he was a great player in his playing days, but a terrible pundit now.

            Lucky,
The club’s long term stability is more important than 3 points, the problem is that comes with Ronaldo outweighs the benefits he brings. At Chelsea we don’t have a super star, instead we have a team work. It was written in the stars for us to drop points today, whoever was there wouldn’t have made any difference. Considering Havertz hasn’t stayed in the box for much of the game except the only time he scored. If we have a presence in their box we would have walked with the 3pts.

Also, Jorginho had one hell of a game today, but Kante was poor again. I think he is not still 100% match sharp after the recent illness. Chiwell was also poor by his usual high standards today. But Reece James was excellent again.

But our best player today was Hodson Odoi, he has come from along way to claim his spot in the team, and long may it last. Getting Lukaku fit is the prioty during the international break. He has had a very good resting period.

Don’t want Ronaldo anywhere near Chelsea. he is a disaster walking. where ever he goes these days it’s difficult to handle him. you can see Juventus are grappling with the effects of trying to please him. as he won’t allow another great player and the whole team should be built around him. That is what United is dealing, Ole has his limitations, but to be fair, United have been good and they were heading in the right direction until they brought back Ronaldo.

I don’t care whether we dominate or not, all i care about is the 3 points.

                  Ed,

Join the crew, and sack OGS and appoint a coach on 18 month contract. join the crew that is copying the Chelse strategy these days. you will be fine. and who knows if it may pay off. appoint Zidane or find one ex Chelsea coach and give him to lead.

Or it could be a trick to put him on the shop in January transfer window to fetch cash for the team. either way, Tuchel has succeeded where many failed. one of the achilles heel of the past Chelsea coaches wasn’t getting a peformance from our first eleven, the challenge has always been geting a performance from the fringe players. and thankfully, Tuchel is doing that finally. in the past, players like Chalobah, Sarr, Alonso, Azpi, Ziyech, Loftus Cheek and Barkley would have been a problem for the club. now Tuchel has found a way to utilising them to keep them happy.

Mendy, Rudiger, Silva, Christensen, Chilwell, Kante, Jorginho, James, Hodson Odoi, Barkley, Havertz. i guess this is 3-4-2-1 formation. but i have to say, that is one hell of an endorsment for Barkley by Tuchel.

Here is what Carragher said about those who are drawing comparision between the deal that Chelsea gave Tuchel and the one Spurs gave Conte:
‘Many will argue such a deal [for Conte] is no different to what Chelsea gave Thomas Tuchel when he became their coach, rapidly extending his terms when he won the Champions League after six months,’
‘The flaw in that claim – as Conte will realise quicker than anyone – is Spurs are not Chelsea.

‘There is no point expecting the Italian to have the same instant impact as he did at Stamford Bridge, where the foundations were in place and he could use his coaching skills to get a tune from top class players.

‘Spurs are miles behind Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool, all of whom have settled sides and world-class managers. As we saw last weekend, Manchester United are far superior to Spurs, too.

‘Conte will not tolerate that for long. He will seek to radically change the mentality at the club, initially working out if he can do so with the players he has inherited or by gradually reconfiguring the squad. Everything we have seen for the last three years says it must be the latter.’

I fancy United to get a result today, if OGS plays 3-5-2 with wingbacks staying deep and Using Rashford and Ronaldo’s pace to trouble Diaz and Stones. Also OGS needs to draft hardcore tacklers in midfield to make it tight. Please drop Fred and replace him with Matic. A midfield trio of Mc tomy, Matic and Pogba is well balanced, where Matic will play physical, Mc Tommy will bring energy and Pogba will bring creativity.

Spurs and levy are trying to copy every trick that Chelsea does, they have hired ex Chelsea coaches, and now they have copied the mid season sacking. Another one they have copied is Chelsea gave Tuchel 18 month contract in january, Spurs copied that with Conte by giving him 18 months. For God’s sake you can run a whole club by copying Chelsea strategies.😊

Antonio Conte is obe of the best coaches in the world. He will drag any team he takes over upwards amd any fan would be happy to have him their club. I remember whe he came to Chelsea we had just finished 10th. And that is thw narrative that the media is preaching.

But flip the argument and say, whilst conte is undoubtedly a talebted coach, Chelsea gave him the tools to succeed. Any manager who is at Chelsea is given the tools to succeed. In 2016/17 here is the squad he had, Azpi, Luiz and Cahill un back 3, Moses, Kante Matic and Alonso in the four, and Pedro, Costa and Hazard as the front 3. He had Fabregas and Willian on the bench also. So people need to see the differences.

Now Chelsea has a coach who plays similar system, but is much superior tactically in Tuchel, and if i was given the chance today, i would pick Tuchel over Conte any day despite being a massive fan of Conte.

A very satisfactory day for Chelsea, several things that haven’t clicked into gear recently have today clicked into gear. We went and won at St. James park, then our competitors have both dropped points at home. the Chelsea academy is still shinning, Reece James has two goals today, Connor Gallagher has one and an assit. Hodson Odoi has an assist as well. the only negatives from what is the perfect day is the performance of Kante. i’m a bit concerned about his perfomances of late. something is not right. also i would be suprised if Ziyech doesn’t go in Janaury. Tuchel is giving him chance after chance, but he cannot grab.

On the other hand, Barkley seems to be putting a good display every time Tuchel puts him on the pitch. now our wingbacks are doing the the trick for us. Chilwell has 3, Reece Jamaes has 4 and Alonso has 1. that is 8 goals coming from that department alone, and it’s filling the void left by the strikers. i have to say Chelsea’s biggest strength isn’t our starts, it’s our team work.

Personally i don’t think Liverpool will win tomorrow. That game looks to end in a draw or United will snatch the points late. Because United haven’t won a league match for a month now, and their manager is under serious pressure. They don’t need any other motivation than facing their arch nemesis.

They will not come out of the block firing, but what they will try to do is to sit and play deeper defence line, because they now Liverpool’s pace up front. They will try to frustrate Liverpool and try them into throwing everything and in the process make mistakes.

My prediction is a 1-1 draw.

Now Southgate has a decision to make, does he play the media darling Shaw or does he play the productive Chilwell? It has been 4 in 4 starts for him in club and country.

To be honest, i don’t give monkeys to us playing expansive football. but i remember us trying that and playing it, where we hit the woodwork five times, had 86%, had 13 shots 6-7 on target, had 15 corners. but still lost the game 1-0. so i’m fully content with how Tuchel sees the game these days. adapt every situation as it is. and every time we play, Tuchel seems to uncover a gem. so this week he has uncovered Malang Sarr, who i thought filled the Rudiger void perfectly. and what gave him more advantaage was that he is a natural left footed player. i like how that lad played tonight.

some players are coming back to life now, while some are playing off colours. Chilwell, Loftus Cheek are coming to life, while Mount and Havertz as well as Lukaku are playing off colours. i think the sooner Tuchel finds the solution to our lack of creativity for our strikers, the better for our team. may be the solution is right in our doorstep. Barkley could be an answer from now until January? and if he grabs his opportunity, then it saves money, like the presence of Sarr have saved Money that would have spent on Kunde. and if Sarr plays like that whenever he is given the opportunity, and assuming Rudiger commits his future to the club, then i see no reason why we should sign Kunde.

All in all, the club is heading in the right direciton. we have addressed the first step which was our weakness under Lampard which was our defence, i remember in 2019/20 season we conceded a rcord 54 goals in the league fora top four club. everyone was giving us the stick. now that have been addressed, may Tuchel will address the chance creation thing. we need to give him the time he needs to steady the ship to the promised land.

Let me highlight the elephant in the room for United, For me United’s biggest problem is Ronaldo. before he came to the team, they have been good before he arrived. now his presence is hurting the team and creating unneccessary media attention. also, young players they have invested heavily are now struggling to settle. worst of all, OGS doesn’t know how to handle Ronaldo in the dressing room. and anyone who replaces OGS will face similar problem. at 36 the PL pace and physicality is affecting Ronaldo. and it’s there to be seen.
