I will be watching tomorrow’s Tuchel press conference with nervousness. Our injury list is evergrowing. Chilwell, Chalobah, Jorginho, James, Kante, Kovacic are all key first team players whom any team would feel their absence. And some pundits were questioning Chelsea’s performance ladt night. And Azpi and Alonso haven’t played a game for weeks and they weren’t match sharp, add that Mount, Pulisic and Lukaku has just returned from injury. But we still managed to remain compatitve until now? I have to say we have one hell of manager. Whether we win or not this season, we are heading in the right direction.

We have had a hard luck recently, we are losing the versitle players like James and Chalobah. I hope Kante will return on Saturday and Jorginho is fine. I would be anxious to know how much Chalobah will be out.
Assuming and Kante, James and Jorginho return, and no fresh injuries are reported, then it will be a toss up between Azpi and Christensen for the right centre back role. And Lukaku to replace Havertz, Ziyech to replace Pulisic as well.

Well, if there is anyone who doubted Jorginho’s importance to tgis Chelsea team, tonight they got the answer. He is the most important player in our system. But there are others who are important to the system. Ben Chilwell is also equally important, since his injury we are missing his output from the left and he was solid defensively.
Sadly Azpi can no longer do the job of a wingback, so we need to find a back up to Reece James.tonight’s game have also shown how important Silva is to our defence, he has been commanding the back line.
Anyway, it was a 3 hard earned points, and i was pleased for Mount and Ziyech, they needed those goals, and i hope their season kicks off from here. I would like to see Lukaku start against West Ham. Hopefully, Jorginho, Reece James and Kante will be available for this injury. The injury to Chalobah has also been a blow as the lad has been playing nice football.

The only one i’m worried about is Saul. I hole he performs well as we may need him from now and then due to the number of injuries we have in midfield.

Already Christensen is replaceable at Chelsea as we have Chalobah at the club who is better in defending although Christensen is better on the ball. If God forbid Christensen runs down his contract, then we have ready made replacement in his place. Best option is for him to sign the contract and keep his position. If he is changing his mind, let him say i want leave, so that the club can concentrate looking for his replacement andlet him concentrate finding a club that meets his demands. As for Rudiger, i think the club need to draw this unde the line. Either he needs to declare his preference and the club concentrates on integrating his replacement.

Personally, i believe Chelsea is part of a group of competitors who are competing for the league this season. And we have a decent chance like the rest to win it. It’s not that we are a team of amateurs, we have winners in our squad. So we can handle the pressure. If we don’t win, it’s because there was a team that was better than us and as a result finished above us. City is doing very well, and they have quality and experience. Liverpool has experience as well as class in Salah. We don’t have a stand out player, but we have work ethi and team work.

Sometimes there will always be that odd result which you may drop points regardless of the opposition. So you can measure how one team plays against the other. I saw people mocking Chelsea for failing to beat United. And saying City and Liverpool overrun them? Football doesn’t work lile that. The day you are supposed to drop points you will do regardless of what you throw at the opposition.
Chelsea played three tough matches in 8 days, so it and we won two and drawn one. I would have taken this at the start if i was told that you face City, Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool, Leicester and Unirted and still competing for the league. We were still missing some heavy hitters and without them we did a good job.

I think we have ourselves to blame for this draw. And Tuchel had an off day tactically or he underestimated the United defence. United had three defensive midfielders to win the ball and make us difficult, amd we only had Jorginho, Loftus Cheek was a passenger IMO. I pray Kante and Kovacic return soon. As for our attack, it was a mistake to start with Werner. It’s time the club cut its losses and sell him or use him as make weight for another option. Havertz should have started or even Pulisic. And i’m curious to know why Mount didn’t star?

Still this will be a great result for United if we can’t score another goal.

Well, our finishing could be our down fall this season. We can’t keep wasting chances like that. We are already missing Chiwlell on the left flank. Alonso is lacking pace and match sharpness. Also Werner is a passenger.

If you think so, i never mentioned titles given by officials. Here i’m only criticising the incosistency in the VAR for selectively checking when they want.

How was that goal not disallowed for Handball? After they disallowed the Werner goal similarly bcz Azpi had fouled someone in the build up phase?

Very frustrating picking up an injury in a moment like this when I am really enjoying my football and playing in this team. I will do everything I can to get back on the pitch as soon as possible. Thank you for all the messages of support. β€οΈ

Chelsea are considering recalling Ian Maatsen from his loan at Coventry due to Ben Chilwellβs recent ACL injury. Don’t know much about this guy. Anyone who have seen him play?

I know nothing is guaranteed at the moment. But i’m still clinging to the hope that all will be fine after six weeks. The way Tuchel wants to play suits Chilwell and he was thriving. And one thing i like about the boy is that he gives his all everytime he wears the jersey. Sometimes you may mistaken him to be as one of our academy players. He enjoys close friendship with Mason Mount and Reece James. I haven’t seen a player bond with his team mates like that. Although we have a contigent of English players which helped him settle quicker.

Thank God! Even though the six weeks is a blow to the team, i think i would rather take that than nine months. The lad has been in the form of his life. I hope he returns.

Are you privy to what happens behind the scenes? Did you receive regular updates from the club that we don’t get? Chelsea suspect, and underline the word suspect in the report. And any suspicion is not always final. Am waiting Tuchel to give update today, anyhlthing else, i’m treating it as a rumour.
