Love how he plays on gerrard stopping Rodgers winning the title.
Only great player I’ve seen make a great manager was Dalglish. Sure there are others but generally not the case as their talent often means they thought less about the mechanics of the game. Gerrard might but it’s 50/50 for me, or even less. He’d have more chance of success as playermanager of Rangers.

Must have missed that HH. Think they’ve just been the biggest bunch of cloggers and anti-football in recent years. Even when Hughes was there they had a few glimpses of football but were mainly a thuggish team cheered on by fans who enjoyed a good foul more than a great pass or a goal. I won’t be sorry to see them go.

When we were 5-0 up I must admit the thought crossed my mind ‘even Sean must admit this tie is over!’ But then at 5-2 it just opens the door for Roma to do what they did to that little club from Spain that Suarez plays for.
Difference between Roma needing to score 6, to them now needing 3.
Strange to be leaving the ground with a sense of disappointment. Lovren is terrible, but could have been different if Gini had scored his sitter at the end. Not seen the penalty on TV yet.

I just hope the team don’t underestimate Roma tonight and then leave ourselves with an uphill struggle in Rome. They are there for a reason and are probably less of a surprise in the semis than we are. Play like we did against West Brom and we’ve had it. fingers crossed the thugs stay away from the team coaches too.

That was actually the performance I expected against Bournemouth after beating City.
No complaints really as we didn’t create enough chances to deserve the win, and were lacklustre. But after going two goals up we should have been able to hold on against the worst team in the league. Although without van dyke we would have previously lost – he won some massive challenges and a fantastic header two minutes into injury time.
Bring on Tuesday – this is ideal preparation to hopefully get them focussed

Thought Klopp was ok to be honest – didn’t disagree too much with what he said. Those who take exception are to blame for us having interviews full of nothing statements and platitudes. Give me an honest Klopp.
If comparing to Jose then I’d love to see the absolute meltdown he’d have had post match after such poor refereeing display and throwing away a two goal lead. Boom!
