Best Wishes to you and your family gjblues.
I’ve not got long left with my own father, although I didn’t think he’d get into 2019. its been hard seeing him deteriorate – football seems very trivial some days.

20th January 2019 at 3:54 pm in reply to: Spectators providing support/atmosphere reflecting spirit of the club #31752HH, I thought Zaha was typically him. Interested when he has the ball but lazy and strolling when he didn’t. It’s why I think he is only suited to being the best player in an average to good team. The difference in workrate between him and our front three sums up whyhe is just good and not great

20th January 2019 at 12:11 pm in reply to: Spectators providing support/atmosphere reflecting spirit of the club #31727Being sponsored by beer companies hindered Liverpool shirt sales for years – so hooky ones were more popular in many countries and not just for price. Glad it’s changed.
Back to fans – the palace fans at Anfield yesterday were brilliant and really did push their team onwards like a twelfth man. Drummers as well!!

Think it was only due to that same ref being told off for not sending klopp to the stands that caused him to send off the wolves managers.
Hate diving, and salah was right in front of me – he shoukd have been booked. Was a dive from Zaha in the first 5 mins too but seemed to be missed from the highlights.

Another good and important result, but if forced to bet I’d put my money on City for the title. Liverpool’s squad is fully stretched and I can’t believe we haven’t brought in any new defenders in this window yet.
We are now at the stage of the season when the squad depth of City will make the difference. Liverpool can’t cover more than 2 or 3 players missing whereas City can field two full teams.
Now Fabinho abd Milner to be added to the missing list.
Still a great position but not sustainable.

What a shock it is that some people think there may be something underhanded about massively inflated sponsorship deals from club owner controlled organisations.
Perish the thought!
Well I never!

Hardly an apology was it – I’ve not said anything to you, even agreeing with you earlier today. You think accusing somebody of silly digs isn’t an insult, ok then.
Anyway, you obviously have an issue with me and I just don’t care enough to persevere, and will go the way of many others. Hadn’t posted in agesvand only returned recently but you’ve reminded me why I stayed away.

Reminds me why I often don’t bother posting here – thanks for the insult.

But Jim, Firmino is good. He is the most important player in our style of play.
Sterling looks like he won a raffle to play with the other guys at City.Anyway, let’s hope Jose stays – the implosion is real

Agree, city are ahead of most teams still, but hopefully they will keep sterling and play him then the rest have a chance ?
Think Fabinho will also start
I see the midfield three as Fabinho Keita and Henderson. The front three picks itself but I think Sturridge will maybe start until Bobby Firmino is fit, as he isn’t back yet and didn’t play much in the World Cup_____________________________

I wouldn’t celebrate a united demise too soon, finishing second and with a quality squad they will still be there or thereabouts.
I just hope they persevere with Jose as long as possible into his implosion as he is so destructive. Speaking as a Liverpool fan of course

Think Spurs will do ok this season but will be disrupted in their first 6 games by using Wembley and switching home and away games – it could stop them building momentum. It affected Liverpool when they just swapped two matches.
Liverpool & Spurs were pretty even last season, with spurs just nipping ahead at the end as Liverpool were distracted preparing for the CL final. So far Liverpool have spent big, and how long it takes them to gel is critical. Not sure if spurs look like doing any business yet but a couple of signings would help.
The first 6-8 games are critical for both clubs for different reasons

Wasn’t having a dig at you or any of the guys on here Sean. I see lots of criticism of Klopp in lots of places and see a tinge of it here , but it’s fine as not everyone will agree but he’s great for the club. We play good football and great players want to play for us again – he’s a bit nutty on the sideline but I love it, as his enthusiasm is like a fan.
Looking forward to this season.

Klopp inherited a worse squad than Rafa
Klopp has been unlucky in some respects but I think he has built more potential within the squad, but it’s still only potential – this is a pivotal season for him.
Klopp has also re-established the club identity and been nothing but positive for the clubs PR
Comments criticising him on the touchlibe are a bit churlish in my opinion. What fan would rather have a Hodgson on the touchlibe rather than a Klopp – enough said.

Great to see him fit and well and sending a message of thanks to the staff at the stroke unit in Salford. My daughter works there – very proud! 🙂

Still 2-3 players away from a sustained title challenge but nice to be spending – even though it’s only the coutinho money plus the usual £50m summer budget. With a clearout to come.

I hope that when Jose has his season 3 meltdown, which looks like its on its way, that United stand by him and don’t show him the door
give him as much time (and rope) as is needed. 🙂

If its anything like the mainstream media & commentators they will probably have one hand down their own pants while they give it to Gaurdiola.
Personally as there are no standout candidates I would give it to Deschamps (or Klopp!)
