Thought you’d like that reference 999.
Maverick – I’d like them to do that but in reality they can’t – it’s like a cancer at the club and the most important players are the ones that want to be there.
I also think the money is so high that it has to be accepted – he could break his leg here or at the World Cup and be worth nothing in
the future – plus the circus will continue with the El King Harry pub from Catalonia putting stories in the press every day_____________________________

I agree, he would be good value at that price – can see his price being More though.
I just don’t think he would improve sides as good as spurs or Chelsea. He’s at his level I think.

Maverick – yes he is on strike.
complaining of a slight strain and tightness in his thigh, which miraculously is an injury that cannot be seen on scans or xrays. Same as his back strain in August.
When he signs for that Spanish pub league side he will make a very speedy recovery, or if he is still here in February he will recover instantly – as its a world cup year_____________________________

You’re right Paxton, but he is just a bit dumb – and I reckon the likes of Kane and Alli et al are far more intelligent than Barkley and seem to have a great work ethic.
personally I wouldn’t want him at Liverpool, even though he grew up a Liverpool fan.

Caught a bit of Match of the Day at the weekend and I think it was a game involving Mark Hughes – after the match in which both sides had a penalty and also an appeal turned down both managers thought their penalties were nailed on and the other sides were never a penalty – was the most ridiculous pair of interviews I’ve seen in a while. Cant remember who the teams were, but I’m pretty sure that Mark Asshat Hughes was one of them.

I used to think Barkley was a good player and prospect, and wondered why the blues I knew really didn’t rate him.
As a result of sitting in a hospital with my father after he’d had a stroke last season, and watching lots of Everton matches (as he’s a blue of sorts) I began to understand what they meant.
He isn’t the brightest of players and is slow to react and make decisions and plays so many sloppy passes in a game its untrue. Then he will have a game of his life followed by another 4 shockers. My father describes him as a streaky footballer who doesn’t work hard enough on his game. I had to agree.

5th January 2018 at 8:35 am in reply to: Liverpool V Everton – FAC 3RD Round Friday 5th – 19:55 – BBC #11079Pain in the arse the match being on a Friday evening. At the moment I work in London most weeks, and go home Friday evenings – first week back its hard to be ducking out early for the footy.
Least it cheers up my son as he will be taking my season ticket and going himself – he’s seen more games this season than I have!We should smash Everton, but a few of our key players missing (and everton throwing in the towel against United and resting players) will even it up a bit.

HH – I agree he would be missed but I hate seeing players moping around – barely even celebrating when the score. If playing for Liverpool is such a chore for him then I’ll drive him to Barcelona myself. I’ll even use new gaffer tape and clean out the boot of my car first.
If he doesn’t think playing for us is that special we should quickly dump him. It’s like a cancer through a club.

All seems simple to me
Personal sponsorship of Phil by Nike.
They know he is about to move and have a webpage ready to go with his image in a Barca shirt etc – and would have it sat in a safe space and then some spanner accidentally links it and makes it live.
I’d bet the images aren’t even photoshopped, and he posed for them.
He’s pushing for a move in January but neither club is as keen as he is.
His ‘injury’ will take most of January to recover and would be instantly fixed if the move goes through.
If Barca stump up the cash he can piss off now!

Warnock has a job and there is obviously a major skeleton in Curbishleys closet otherwise he would have had a job by now.
Has ‘Arry been sacked again?
Maybe Rodgers has had enough of the Scottish pub league.

But who?
All the usual shit British managers have recently gotten new jobs, as per their union rules.
Allardyce
Pardew
Moyes
Pullis
Bruce
Et alMaybe Gary Monk is the only one left?

29th December 2017 at 12:42 am in reply to: We get slagged off. Liverpool how great to spend £75m #10347The £75m is affordable and generated by the club, so why not spend it. Especially when the player is needed.

29th December 2017 at 12:38 am in reply to: "He's coming home, he's coming home, he's coming, Van Dijk's coming home" #10346Read the first two pages and gave up.
The posts are like Les Dawson on the piano.I’d rather Liverpool spend big on a player they need than fritter on 4 or 5 shite players like we’ve done in the past.
The sum is irrelevant to me, as the market dictates the fee, but just disappointing as we generate our revenue but were bidding against teams that perhaps don’t.Anyway, we need him and he wants to come – so it will do for me.

Interesting articles in the links
Can’t say I was aware of any of that. Food for thought.

Was painful watching and really should be consigned to the toilet pan of the past.
ironic that it was won by a foreign long distance runner who couldn’t shift his arse the relatively short distance from London to Liverpool to collect the award – shows how much he thought of it.
painful and cringeworthy – worst TV moment of the year so far
