I think he has shown he isn’t much more than a Scally in a suit and can’t conduct himself in public. The behaviours that made him a good and dogged defender won’t help him here.

Think carragher is going the way of Ron Atkinson or Andy Gray, and he deserves it.

Remember him throwing the coin into the crowd – he used the same quotes then, moment of madness, never again etc.

Utterly disgusting and indefensible from carragher.

Forget whether he keeps his job or not he needs to take a long hard look at himself- as to be capable of that means he has much bigger issues.

Gone down massively in my estimations, think he needs to reappraise his own values. If I was involved at Sky I’d force him to make a massive public gesture then sack him anyway. Despicable.

Unfortunately I doubt this was just limited to City and Crewe.  City and Crewe shouldn’t be singled out.

id place a bet that probably every club has a character like this somewhere in their past that they turned a blind eye to or quietly moved on to another club

its a problem in football generally, not just those clubs

Looked a red card to me.  Imagine the outcry if that tackle had been on a City player?  He was off the ground and not even watching the ball as he had no clue where it had gone

plus, couldn’t see much difference in behaviour between the two sets of players
