Not sure why Pep would play a weaker team today, their Champsions League group is so easy he could pick 11 from the crowd and they’d still probably progress.

Still should be way too strong for a very weak Everton.

City just hit the bar from 2 yards as I type this. All City…

Not much to say Pagan seems like an administration cock up. Sunderland did the same in 2014 and got fined so I’d expect the same.

            “Renowned accident black spot”

Was on the a6 in allestree. I used to live in allestree. Doesn’t really add anything to the conversation but thought I’d mention it!

Theres footage showing them hammered before the crash. Not good. How difficult is it to show restraint or if you cant just get a bloody taxi?

My take on the MK Dons LFC match, although like Nil I was watching a dodgy stream (not no sound, but 15 second delayed sound!).

A very good work out for Keita, Gomez, Lovren and Ox. Thought Keita looked ok and it will do he great to play 60 mins. Ox huffed and puffed but never took the game by the throat (great shot against the post mind). The back two looked rusty, their line was all over the place at times and you could tell they hadn’t played much recently never mind together.

Agree with some comments about Brewster although it’s his debut so he can be forgiven for not living up the hype just yet. He seemed to play the poacher role, whilst we are used to Firmino or even Origi putting themselves about and dropping deep to get involved, he seemed to be waiting for others to make things happen. Hoever scored a great header, but he doesn’t look a FB at the moment, his crossing was woeful. Kelleher looked good, Jones was lively and had a good game but Elliot was the standout. His touch, movement, vision was sublime for someone so young and inexperienced. Hope he keeps his place in this competition, will be interesting to see him against better opposition in Arsenal.

Glad we are still in it, gives way more benefit to fringe/young players and those coming back from injury. Whether that is the correct way the competition should be looked at is debatable mind!

Special mention to Utd for their unexpected and hard fought win πŸ™‚

Pep will be the best choice to replace Klopp.

No, not that one silly, I mean Pep Lijnders. He has shown ambition to manage before (didn’t work out, but then NEC are not LFC), and it would be a seamless transition from Klopp.

For other teams that might be looking in the near future I’d stay away from the older “established” names and go for someone young and with modern ideas. Maybe in the German league like Nagelsmann, or maybe even look closer to home with Eddie Howe. If they have good people around them then they could have every chance to succeed. So has Frank, hence why I don’t get the negativity already.

Moving slightly away from shirt sells, for which I agree with those questioning NB, Adidas and all the rest, but Liverpool have NordVPN as an official partner. We all know one of the main uses of VPN is to illegally watch football, so a football club having a partnership with a company that benefits from illegal viewing of said football team seems a little morally corrupt to me! And then advertise it pitch side when people are most likely already watching illegally but thinking how they could protect themselves better.

Football is not about morals, heck it’s barely about football these days, it’s about how much it can earn.

Agree 100% with Hightown about betting companies, probably also down there are pay day loan companies!

Utd seem to be really struggling, those crazy days last season when Ole first took over seem a very distant past now. The performance against West Ham was terrible, described by some pundits as the worst in recent memory.

What Utd clearly need to do is sack Ole, then re-appoint him as his own successor in a caretaker role till the end of the season. Then, and this is the trick they missed last time, don’t give him the full time job! But in truth I cannot see any gain to get rid of him now (second favorite to go I think) as there’s no one about to take over at this stage.

Utd are missing a strategy, and this would come from a DoF. Someone that keeps the style, ethos, whatever you want to call it pretty much the same even when managers come and go. And then recruit players that fit that strategy so at least they have the right players already at the club and don’t need to rebuild every time.

I think any criticism of Lampard is unjustified at the moment. What else was expected from him with a transfer ban hanging over him.

Vs UTD they were the better team for 30 minutes and to be honest 4-0 was a bit of a freak result where everything UTD did paid off.

Vs Liverpool I thought we were better first half, you second. The reason? I thought we won the midfield battle until Kante took ownership after the break. Was that a tactical tweak at half time? Should Frank get credit for that? No idea!

Those were two results that could easily of been draws or even wins.

Abraham and Mount have no doubt been the highlights for him so far. Can he get Pulisic playing well? It’s too early to judge him in my opinion.

Nine, if the words “tone down the arrogance a little and show more respect” seems like I am calling all City fans arrogant and is offensive in your eyes then I’m afraid nothing I will say will help. To me I was carrying instruction that if: “someone posts nonsense there’s nothing wrong with anyone pointing that out in a respectful way” I see nothing wrong with the wording I used, especially in light of the messages they were aimed at. The City fans posted messages that I saw as dismissive of Klopp’s achievements which I and I’m sure other LFC fans saw as disrespectful and arrogant.

Nine, I fully respect the achievements of City and Pep last season, they did great and are a fantastic team. But a few comments came across as arrogant. I totally understand you do not wish posters to be put off from coming here, think we are all in agreement, but it doesn’t mean some can post whatever they like and we all must tread on egg shells in case we upset them.

Van Bissaka as Sean says has done nothing wrong. That midfield however was bottom half level. The only talented player they have there is Pogba and he wants to go and is a lazy sod that needs a worker or two alongside him.

Entertaining first half. VAR actually did its job and got a decision right. Maybe should of been a red for Sissoko. No intent to harm the player but he was wildly out of control of his legs, even more than usual for him, so I think a red would be warranted.

Leicester were many including mine, tip to break into the top 6 or even top 4. So far against the big six they’ve looked short. Big 45 minutes coming up for them.
