I had to bite the bullet this year and get Sky.de. I got the entertainment package with Netfix but I think just for Skysports in UHD it’s 15eur for the first year, and that covers around 2/3 of the matches including 3 o’clock kick offs. To me that is pretty reasonable, and whilst my German isn’t the best I can understand some of the common football phases like “Tor!!”, “Elfmeter!!”, “Handspiel!!” and “Phil Jones ist ScheiΓe!!”
Will miss the legal stream DAZN, had all but 2 Liverpool games live last season, and for 10EUR a month. I think most fans would be happy watching most of their teams games for that sort of price and then people wouldn’t need to stream illegally.

If Arsenal get Coutinho then they’d be the neutrals favourite team to watch as every game would be 5-4 or something with their dodgy defence. I honestly think 4th place could go to one of Wolves, Leicester or Everton, assuming the top 3 is Liverpool, City and Spurs (in that order naturally!).
Echo the good will thoughts to TBA, here’s hoping for a speedy recovery!

The only other alternative would be to play the FA Cup beaten finalist but that has never happened, always second in the league.
Unless you were expecting City to play City reserves?!

5th August 2019 at 6:52 am in reply to: FA Community Shield 2019 – Liverpool V Man City 3pm – BT Sport 1 #44441Thought it was a good game. City the better team in the first half, Liverpool the better in the second. Can’t take what happens in a glorified friendly as an indicator for the forthcoming season apart from it’s obvious these are two top quality teams that have a lot of respect for each other.
Oz mate, you not think it’s time to drop the c$ty thing? Seems a little school playground to be honest, along with things like Manure, Looserpool etc that I’ve seen from others (thankfully not on this site!).

Klopp wont just buy for the sake of buying, he and his team carefully pick their targets and will happily wait for them. Trust them, I think they’ve earned it. As for FSG they have massively invested in the club and any criticism and accusations of not supporting the manager are totally unfounded.
Klopp is building a team, it’s still young and will grow under his guidance. Anyone saying we will regress from last season because we haven’t spent shed loads on someone we probably wont need is simply wrong and showing Klopp and the team disrespect.
Nil, my advice is just relax. Watch the final or 2nd leg semi a few more times. Last season was great let’s see what the same players can do a year more experienced playing Klopps way.

Nil you’re not making much sense. Who or what are you after and how would you integrate them? Or do you just want signings for the sake of signings?

I’d of gone with Jimenez but as he’s taken I’d go with the new lad from west ham, you know the 40m striker that no one can remember his name? Whatshisface, signed from Frankfurt I think.

Eriksen replacement? Be hard to fit both and Ali into a team.

Cant wait to see the Utd formation if they keep Pogba and bring in both Dybala and Fernandes. It’ll be like watching Spurs under Ossie Ardiles all over again!

Only caught the last 20 minutes as I forgot it was on but it looked like the pressing was back. Agree with Sean, Elliot looked good and certainly not out of place. Certainly not short of confidence! Heard he has gone straight to train with the first team rather than the u23/u18 so there must be something about him.

Good post Mak agree with you. Some fans, and I’m not talking about the ones on this site, are just interested in big shiny new signings for the sake of it, without understand what Klopp and his team are creating.

Sean, had a feeling that might be the case. Although from a defensive point of view it can work in your favour as many teams play with inverted wingers. For attacking not great, I hate it when players have to check back onto their stronger foot to cross a ball, often kills the attack.

Klopp has come out with some positive words regarding Brewster. He doesn’t normally do this, and this is why I think he is not going to be another Sinclair, Ibe or any of the countless others.
βI love the boy, he is fantastic player. Why should I play it down?β Klopp said.
βRhian Brewster is a top striker, he is a top talent and I have told him already that he has an important role this year β but how important depends on him.β
Heard that the young lad Lacouri could step up to the first team this season as both left and right back cover. Not seen a lot of him pre-season, apart from getting kicked 6 foot in the air, anyone have an opinion?

Bayern have a fair bit of replacing to do. I expect more to come regarding the Sane saga, maybe also Werner although they could wait a year for Lewandowski to finish his time and get him for free. Probably the biggest young talent in Germany, maybe even Europe for his position, Havertz who looks nailed on to move to Bayern next season.

What’s the source of that quote Nine? If Utd get SMS surely that means Pogba will go? Same if Fernandes signs unless Ole is going all out crazy attack, which would be interesting.

The thing is, City arn’t managing it that well with regards to keeping their players happy. Sane wants out due to lack of playing time as he is now considered an elite player. Jesus is reportedly not happy but not as determined to leave as Sane. Even Mahrez, who’d you think was aware of the situaion when he signed, is reportedly not entirely happy with the situation.
Maybe City and Pep in particular don’t mind having a bit of negativity within the team atmosphere, I’m guessing Klopp doe. Who knows maybe I’m wrong and we’ll buy a 60m elite player to play in the league cup or when one of Salah/Mane/Firmino need a rest but so far we haven’t or show any signs of doing so.
Even non-elite players like Brandt turned us down because of fear of playing time, and that was before we had Salah!

Don’t understand the Alderweireld situation. I know he’s getting on a little and won’t have much sell on value but he’s still a quality, proven defender that could certainly improve the top teams. At 25m buy out, which I believe expires this Friday, he seems tailor made for Utd with their defensive flaws.
If I were Ed Woodward I’d be on that like a tramp on chips!

Sean I agree on a left and maybe a right full back cover and also someone to help put the front three. But I strongly disagree with people that expect a worldie to come in and play enough games because we are competing on lots of fronts etc etc, to me that is an unrealistic expectation.
Someone like Cornet, relatively young, cover a couple of positions, hopefully eager to learn Klopps ways but importantly not expecting to be first choice straight away.
