I park my car in Europe’s longest car park and just a walk down it is an eye opener for anyone who likes cars. Just in my little section of the car park is a Lamborghini Aventador, Ferrari 812 Stallone and a Rolls-Royce Wraith. In fact I think they are owned by the same person! The Ferrari has got to be the loudest car I’ve ever heard and that was when he was just reversing out!

Lukas Podolski has an apartment pretty much next door (yes name dropping now!) and although I think he is currently in Japan his Lamborghini Urus is often seen. There’s also a stupid amount of Bentleys and Porsches and those obscenely large Mercs.

It does make me giggle when I get to park between two supercars in my 2017 Seat Leon!

Not sure about that VAR call on sterling. Didn’t look like it could be accurately measured with those big fat lines. Looked level to m le so advantage should go to the attacker.

Mak, Trents passing was all over the place in the first half, putting cross field passes either straight out or to the opposition. Hendo didn’t do anything particularly wrong, in fact he created a very good chance for Mane and was better in my opinion than Gini. I suspect where you read he was dreadful were just saying that as its Hendo. Overall the team wasn’t playing well and Palace deserved more from the game.

A lot of talk about Emery being favorite for the next manager to go but what about Pellegrini? This West Ham team is very very poor and not far off the relegation places (to be fair about 13 teams not far at the moment!).

                Ok I will try again…

The reason I support Liverpool isn’t that exciting I’m afraid. I started watching football in 86 after being mesmerised by a certain little Argentinian fella in Mexico. I’m actually from Belfast originally but grew up in England. So in 86 I wanted a team to support and asked my parents who people from Northern Ireland usually follow and they told me either Liverpool or Man Utd. As Liverpool had just won the double I decided them.

I’ve moved about a lot due to work so never really had an attachment to another team. 5 years ago I moved to Germany and tried to support Dortmund (only 1 hour away at the time) and even went to a game (3-1 vs Berlin, 35Β°C and I had to climb every step to the very top of their massive stadium!) I now live in Cologne but I don’t really care about what happens to FC KΓΆln. Maybe that would change if I went to a game, which by the way are usually great atmospheres in Germany, maybe due to the fact you can have a beer in the stand. (I was gobsmacked by the man walking up and down the stands with a keg on his back serving people whilst the game was playing! Never in England!).

When I lived in Norfolk I was a frequent visitor to Anfield as I was a member of the local supporters club and got tickets no problem. Probably around 2004-2007 I think. The best game I went to was the 2005 CL semi vs Chelsea.

Good post HH, sorry only just picked up on it.

I started watching football in 86 after being mesmerised by a certain little Argentinian fella over in Mexico. I’m from Belfast originally although grew up in firstly in Essex and then more predominantly in Derbyshire. I remember in 86 asking my parents who people from Northern Ireland usually support and despite my Dad being a Spurs fan and his Dad an Arsenal fan they told me either Liverpool or Man Utd. As Liverpool had just won the double I opted for them. Probably not the most exciting reason!

I have spent most of my adult life moving about due to work so never really felt connection to any other team. I moved to Germany 5 years ago and tried to support Dortmund (1 hour drive away at the time) and went to a game (3-1 vs Berlin, start of the season, top row of their massive stadium in 35Β°c heat!), but there just wasn’t a connection. I now live in Cologne but again I really couldn’t care less what happens to FC KΓΆln. Maybe that would change if I get to a game, and I have to admit German matches do have good atmospheres. Maybe the fact you can have a beer in the stand helps! (I was amazed by the guy walking up and down the stands with a keg on his back serving people!)

Used to be a regular at Anfield around 2003-2006 as I was living in Norfolk and a member of the East Anglia Supporters club. I got tickets for anything I wanted, Champions League semi against Chelsea in 05 being the highlight.

I know he made some comments about his wife not enjoying the weather but as someone that has done the move the other way round, as in UK to Germany, I can say the weather is pretty much the same. Bit colder in Germany in winter, bit warmer in summer, rains almost the same. So I’m guessing his comment was a bit tongue in cheek, although there are other reasons he or his family could be hone sick.

I’ve not seen any indication that he will leave before his contract is up. What happens after then I dont know but I would guess the club is looking at all possibilities already. My suggestion, as I said earlier in the thread, is appoint Pep Ljinders as manager if he wants it. Would be the most seamless transition. Or maybe by then klopp wants to build on his multiple league wins and stay for another 4 years?

If you think there’s too much talk on one topic on a forum the easiest thing to do is start a new topic yourself! During International breaks the talk will always drop a bit as most fans (well me anyway!) have little interest in these games.

Thankfully proper football resumes and we can all get back moaning about VAR, diving, Mourinho, or whatever else floats your boat.

Mak, Klopp has always been one to honor his contract. I agree he should be earning as much as the top earners (or more like they should earn less!) but he does strike me as someone whose ego isn’t affected by their comparative earnings. I don’t think he would walk away from Liverpool before his contract is up, he is making a legacy here. I also don’t think there are many clubs that would appeal to him, as in a team with potential and a fanatical fan base that needs a rebuilding job whilst fighting against more wealthy opposition. Liverpool and Dortmund before fit him like an arse on a bucket, as he would say.

Maybe after his contract is up he could take the German team if he wanted a change of direction, but I could never see him at a club like Madrid, City, PSG or even Bayern (more for his love/loyalty of Dortmund).

Jose seems to be the front runner for the job but I said before I could see Howe take over. Or Rafa if he really is looking to stop his China experience short.

Haha Mav to say Liverpool have come a long way since then is an understatement.

Konchensky, Jovanovic and Poulsen with Hodgson in charge have to be the lowest point of my time supporting liverpool. So just think no matter how bad you think supporting Utd is at the moment you’ll never be that bad! And we made it back.

Mo Sissoko was a good player and could of become very good if not for that eye injury.

Palace are better away where they can counter attack although I suspect they will still sit with a low block and try and use their pace against us. Versus City I was very disappointed in them, far too passive. I thought it was a match where City could struggle but instead Palace just rolled over and had their belly tickled. I expect a harder game for us but still think we have too much for them.

Chelsea are doing something that I thought was impossible, they are starting to become likable! πŸ™‚ Frank is doing a great job and the youngsters are a breath of fresh air to the league. Whilst going to City is never easy, as Mikus said they have vulnerabilities and something doesn’t look quite right at the moment. I think Chelsea are going there at just the right moment.

2-2, with Abraham and Mount scoring to aid my Fantasy Football team.

Liverpool are away but Palace are pretty poor at home although I expect them to play like an away team anyway. 0-2.

Did this need to be public? I’m guessing this sort of thing would happen fairly often especially with fierce rival teams. Could it not of been done in-house? (If anything discrete is actually possible with the England team and it`s merry band of paparazzi and moles).
