“If Salah doesnβt sparkle Liverpool arenβt the same team.”
Absolute rubbish and disrespectful. Make it sound like we are a one man team. The reason we lost was nothing to do with Salah sparkling or not, the midfield lost the battle and Alisson had a shocker.

If Utd hadn’t already hired and fired Moyes I’d think he would be considered now. He’s built the best West Ham team for many years. Solid defence and midfield 2, exciting going forward. I still fancy Liverpool to win this afternoon, we have a great record against both West Ham and Moyes, but they should be considered alongside Leicester as one of Utds rivals for 4th.

Yeah you’re right Ed I didn’t see the touch. Good call by Oliver.

Didn’t look like one at first but replay showed it should have been in my opinion. Oliver well placed to look but surprised no VAR.

Poncho will not leave PSG mid season. If Ole is sacked I think they’d put an interim in charge like Carrick and appoint someone at the end of the season. Knowing Utd they’ll just appoint the interim!

Adlab haven’t noticed Utd make a tackle yet!
Sean yeah this is 3 at that back and it was during the week too but apart from that I think it’s been 4231. Looks like a change in formation to try and stop the rot which sounds like a desperate thing i used to do when things went bad on champ manager! Buy fully agree this formation gives sancho no chance.

De Gea having one of those games it seems, keeping it only one nil.

Sean agree regarding 352 formation but how often have utd played that? And players usually earn their chance by performing well in training. I think he has mostly played on the left? This is odd as in germany he was excellent on the right and Utd have been in need of a right sided attacker for a few years.
Back to the game its enjoyable as a liverpool fan as I don’t care what the result will be. But if City do win and it looks like they will please don’t get Ole sacked. We almost dropped that clanger but Klopp realised and eased off the hammering π€£

Adlab, I wouldn’t look into it much regarding Grealish he has been playing a fair bit and is obviously an important member of the squad. Sancho is a funny one mind, he’s not played much recently. There were stories from Germany of a bad attitude in training, maybe this has resurfaced? Or maybe the difference in quality between the German and English leagues is showing him up?

“Howe will just turn them in to Norwich!”
Would exactly be my concerns if I were a Newcastle fan. When you are fighting relegation you need someone that can toughen up the team, win ugly, defend deep and nick the occasional points. Howe will have his players playing open nice football. They’d have been better off stick with Bruce.

One of the most satisfying wins given how they behave. Thing is they have some very good technical players but still they kick out and then roll about trying to get our players in trouble. Hope they fail to qualify.

Nil, I’m pretty sure Klopp will play very strong but rotated teams for the last two, based on who needs game time and who needs a rest. Can see TAA having a day off with Nico replacing him for example, and maybe Gordon and Morton either starting or coming off the bench. Henderson has played a lot recently it seems too. We still have senior players like Minamino, Origi, Gomez, Tsimkas, Konate who could all do with game time.

I am enjoying the Salah-Henderson-Trent overload. Its something we’ve done a few times this season and results in Trent being more infield and in a more dangerous position for his crosses.

I think, could be very wrong, that he was going to show a yellow for the foul which would of been fair. But because Felipe turned away despite the ref blowing 3 times the yellow couldn’t be shown so he just pulled out the red. Should of it been the yellow shown twice then a red? I’m not sure. But this ref has been great not putting up with any of Atleticos nonsense.

There’s always more than one way to win a match. Some of the most exciting football to me is a well executed counter attack.
At the top of the league we have 3 very different managers with 3 very different but distinctive styles. Makes for a fascinating race in my opinion.
I see the managers personal traits closely resemble the playing style he instills on his team. Pep/City are suave and sofisticated, Klopp/Liverpool are manic and exciting, Tuchel/Chelsea are precise and calculating. Ole/Utd? Nice, inoffensive but a little bit confused π€£

But City can’t do it against Palace, Southampton and Spurs, a Spurs team who Utd put away very easily recently. It all depends on which team turns up on the day best prepared mentally and tactically, plus maybe a little luck too.
