Both Messi and Ronaldo are legends of the game but you’ll find it’s Divock Origi that’s generally regarded as the greatest of all time.

I already said we found it hilarious but probably not in the way you wanted it to.

Ed so you are OK with lucky’s comment insinuating I carry out domestic violence? Or nine not giving nil the chance to voice his opinion dismissing it as nonsensical in a manner nil clearly didn’t like? Then on another post mocking his comment with a flippant remark about drinking. That needs to stop, alcohol issues if they exist with any person here should not be used to put them or their post down.
You can’t say a thing that remotely portrays Chelsea in a slightly negative way without those two jumping on it. One of the reasons I left for a bit was I said in a liverpool post that we would never pay what Werner gets at Chelsea and nine jumped all over it.
I came back because i enjoy debate from a mix of different supporters. If you’re happy with their behaviour then fine I will remove the problem myself by not visiting here again.

Mak, LD did let himself down with that comment but it’s nothing that upset me. I actually showed my missus it and she thought it was funny in a stupid, sad thing to say kinda way.
LD seems to have taken on the Rudiger cheats, Salah clever catchphrase but that just tells me he is being blinded by his bias. Rudiger threw himself to the ground, Salah didn’t, he put himself between player and ball at speed giving the defender thre option to foul him or let him run on. Foxy made a good point when saying its something Vardy does and I think it applies to many other pacey forwards. It’s not a cheat, it’s making life very hard for a defender and that’s what forwards are supposed to do.
Think the topic has done to death to be honest. This site would benefit if Chelsea fans would take criticism a little better and be more open to opposing opinions. Calling Nil’s post nonsensical just because his opinion disagreed with his own was bang out of order and this is from a “moderator” who you’d think would know better. Couple that with LD’s performance yesterday and I am again asking myself if it’s worth bothering with this site again.

There were no protests from the Villa players. Just saying 🤷

If the measure of guilt of a potential offence is determined by the reaction of the opposition as nine has stated a couple of times then Rudiger definitely cheated as the Leeds players proper kicked off. Or does it only work one way?

OK lucky you’re sounding now a bit like a dick so think I’ll leave you to it. “Jog on” behind the safety of a computer 🤣 fucking pathetic.

You may notice lucky that I also think I am the only liverpool fan that said Alisson could have gave a penalty. It was only my opinion but I try and look objectively at what happens. And it is my objective opinion that Rudiger cheated a penalty and that Salah did not he played clever, Ali one maybe should have been and that City were very fortunate with theirs. Not seen Utds. Not trying to get a bite from you but you Chelseas fans do go very precious whenever someone says something even remotely negative about your team, even if it’s a fair and reasonable opinion.

1st rule of footydebate.com coming into effect again! Think foxy forgot that one too but escaped your wrath!
I agree with your last point however, I can see Chelsea dropping out of the title fight. If a team that bases its style on tight defensive play start defending poorly then they will have problems. Still plenty of time to put it right, but must be a bit of a worry for Chelsea fans at the moment. Hope this view hasn’t upset too many Chelsea fans.

Finally saw the Alisson/Ings incident again and stand by my first judgement that Liverpool were very lucky not to concede a penalty. He touches the ball slightly but he brings down Ings who would have be able to get to ball after Alisson’s slight touch.
Salah’s was a pen, he did what strikers are taught and get your body between the ball and the defender. If the defender gets too close he is likely to make contact for a pen, or he let’s the striker run on on goal.
Rudiger’s was a blatant cheat to get a pen.

Just seen the rudiger pen and yeah it’s very soft. The delayed reaction to it makes it seem worse. One of those you defend if its for your team but annoyed if its against.
Not seen the Ings incident again yet.

Would need to see it again Mak but my first thought was he got a hand to the ball but then brought down Ings when he could have made something from it. Two independent actions in which getting to the ball doesn’t make him immune to a foul further on.

I’m just going on the BBC blog where the pundits said:
It’s not a pen. If that’s a penalty, the games gone crazy. The game’s gone, hasn’t it? There’s minimal contact._____________________________

Not an easy watch for Liverpool fans. Thought it was a pen with Alisson, who looked shaky throughout, on Ings. The ref was very poor all game so no real surprise he got that wrong too.
Read the Chelsea last minute penalty is a bit dodgy but obviously not seen it yet. If that’s the case then all the top 3 have benefited today from poor decisions.

Harsh pen. His arms are high which can always be an issue but it hits his side. VAR still getting things wrong.
People on about Wolves cheating by wasting time etc but seems City’s tactic is give it to Sterling to run and fall over in the box. He always give that innocent puppy look when he does it.

Bonkers from Jimenez. Harsh first yellow but that doesn’t excuse the stupidity of what he did.
Grealish was always a player that carries the ball, City don’t play that way. I don’t think he is adjusting to Peps way the way City would have liked.

I think Lukaku struggles more than most with his fitness when injured. He’s starting to look like a retired Lennox Lewis again. When he gets match fit again I’m sure he’ll start to bang in the goals.
Don’t be thinking Haaland will be a bargain. Raiola will demand a humongous agent fee and signing on fee for Haaland plus insane wages. The release claus just means Dortmund get less a share of the cost than they would expect. It will still be well over 100m to get him.
