You can see in this game the point I was making about Haaland’s contrasting style to how Pep likes to pkay. He loves to play on the shoulder and spin behind and has looked to do this a few times already but that isnt the Pep tiki taka way. Will need time.

Think both teams will be disjointed and no where near their high level due to the short preseason and possible disruption of new signings. Still think City will win this comfortably.

Martinez signs for Utd for 57m. Have to admit he’s shorter than I thought.

Agree with Brian, both Pep and Klopp have for the first time in a while adaptations to make to their game plan. Who wins the league is the one whose team adapts the best.
Think Spurs and Chelsea could exchange final positions this year and maybe both closer to the top two. As for the rest I think miles behind.

Adlab didnt City’s parent group CFG take out a 473m loan recently? Whilst not exactly on the club but you’re not exactly the bastions of financial purity you seem to make your team out to be either.

Adlab it is wrong to simply quote the transfer fees mentioned in the press. Haaland’s dad got a reported 17m, his agent 30m (not sure what happened here due to his death).
For example just looking at transfer fees has Nunez more expensive than Haaland and a number of outlets have already used this to make a mockery of Liverpool’s transfer and get clicks. However when you factor in fees and wages over the length of the contract Haaland is 50m more expensive despite having one year less contract.
Conversely, selling a player for 40m does not mean City get 40m. Someone like Sterling will get several million that City have to pay him as he did not request a transfer. This is part of the modern day football’s contract called the loyalty bonus. Messi for example got a 2nd payment of 39m when he left Barca as it was in his contract and he did not request to leave. Pogba got 3.8m when he left Utd recently.

It’s always good to have new ears for the start of the season. Hear the crowd etc.

Agree with Sean, Eriksen doesnt make a lot of sense. He would be a good signing if Fernandes wasn’t there.
I’m a firm believer that for the Premier League you can only afford one passenger when it comes to defending and then the team must balance elsewhere. I’d say Liverpool have zero passengers, City? Maybe Mahrez and he doesnt always start. Utd? Last season Ronaldo, Fernades and Pogba and they all regularly started together. Pogba has gone but does Eriksen offer anymore defensively? A little yes, but enough to compensate for Fernandes and maybe Ronaldo strolling around the pitch? Utd need some quality steel to their midfield, not more creative players.
Spurs have done some good buisness and I can see them ahead of Chelsea at the end. That’s no disrespect to Chelsea and obviously a lot can still happen in the window. Can see both Arsenal and Utd slipping further backwards. Arsenal need a miracle to make top 4 but I’m not convinced Jesus is the man to provide it.

What punishments will rule-breakers face?
Nothing at all. PSG and City have already proven that.
Adlab why are you always playing the self-pity city card? Can you not understand why a lot of fans don’t like what City have done? It wasn’t that long ago you were getting spanked 8-1 by Boro but then you won the lottery and proved that unlimited money can buy all the success (minus CL for now!) in football. You could argue Chelsea did the same but they were a pretty good team already, showing potential as challengers. Teams like Utd have huge debt and that is the way they are run but they didn’t just come from nothing (football wise) very rapidly like City.
Putting those down for accumulating debt because your team got lucky with an investor with virtually unlimited funds that put you way above your station is a bit rich to be honest.

Or City in England it seems sadly. The richest clubs always dominate.

Why? It takes all of 10 seconds. If you don’t like it for whatever reason turn away for those seconds.
Coincidentally I was thinking about his earlier when I saw a photo of the taking the knee in the Slavis Prague vs Arsenal game when Lacazette took the knee right in front of the Prague players. Slavia Prague have had racism issues before and the Czech Republic is known for its right wing views. It was a very powerful image.
That sort of thing far outweighs the fact that Nil doesn’t like it because he thinks we are going all American.

Mane was one of the most exciting players of the last few years. He may have said a few unfortunate things before his departure but he will be a Liverpool legend.
He will tear up the Bundesliga.

Yeah I know I just put it up for a giggle with Adlab. In fact I find it hilarious, it’s like La Liga are throwing a strop because they couldn’t get their fancy new toy. City and PSG may or may not be doing things unfairly but the top La Liga teams are not exactly the bastions of fair play are they? La Liga are just upset they couldn’t get the next big thing in order to maximise their subscription base.

Ed, Northern Irelend. Hence I don’t really care much for international tournaments. If we get there the most entertaining part is our fans! But yes based in Germany.
