To use Salah to his best he needs to be closer to the goal. That means abandon the IFB, get Robertson providing width on the left, Trent pinging those majestic deep crosses from the right and keep Nunez on the bench.
If the FBs don’t provide width then the wide attackers stay wider.
Liverpool needed new players that is clear, time creeps up on even the best. But it’s the tactics that is more important, doesn’t matter who you sign if they are not working.

Get what you are saying Ed and yeah a team isn’t about individual form it about what works best for the team. But there’s in form, out of form and no form at all because they are not playing. It’s the last one that raises questions. Is Phillips for example even fit? Someone who has been publicly critised by his own manager on this subject.

“Swansea: pretty sh*tty City.”
Packet of virtual Oreos for anyone who can name the film.
How did a thread about England turn into a discussion about Wales?
Southgate chooses players that are unwarranted, is anyone surprised? He says he picks on merit but he clearly doesn’t.
Regarding Sterling I found this snippet:
On Sterling, Southgate noted that the playerβs decision to miss the June programme to focus on his fitness after a difficult season had paid dividends in the early weeks of this campaign. That said, it also allowed his rivals for selection to cement their places.

“Defensively, Liverpool look a mess at times. Trent was given the run around again by Newcastle”
Was he though? Yes up until the sending off he looked rattled but after going to 10 men Klopp abandoned this stupid IWB system and we actually looked far better defensively. In fact most of Newcastles threat came down Robertson!s side in the shape of Almiron.
If liverpool abandon the IWB system and revert back to what gave us some great seasons then we can match anyone with this squad and one or two more additions. Sadly it seems Klopp is heavily influenced by Ljinders who has openly stated the IWB is his idea. Getting rid of that clown would be Liverpools best transfer buisness!

This is a little story in response to Adlab and a lesser extent Nil who think this incident is blown out of proportion.
I was once a Police Officer, not for long admittedly but long enough to have some experience. One of my first arrests was a man of similar age to Adlab. He had been touching supermarket workers. It started with a little cheeky comment, then a little sly touch, then an inappropriate grope. He thought he was doing nothing wrong, it was all playful fun. When my colleague knocked on his door his wife joked “oh he’s up to his old tricks again!” as if it was some innocent joke.
I read the victim statements. They felt violated. They felt mistreated. One felt so sick at the thought of seeing him at work she feigned days off. You try telling them it was a bit of fun or a show of affection.
So Adlab it doesn’t need to 50 shades of grey or however you put it. That kiss is sexual assault. Whats more it was done in front of millions of people watching, many whom have to endure those cheeky little sexual comments, those little touches, or those non-consented kisses on the lips. How did his actions make them feel?
The self preservation attitude of Rubiales and his people is actually even more disgusting than the act itself. He should have been fired without hesitation and made am example of.

Tough game for Newcastle, lose that and its 3 losses out of 4. That would make it a pretty bad start although not the easiest for them.
Howe has surprised me, I thought he was the wrong choice for NUFC as his teams always seems very soft to play against but he’s done well.
His substitution yesterday weren’t great unless there were problems as Tonali and Gordon were two of their better players. He should have gone for it whilst he could. 1-0 is always dangerous going into the last 10 minutes even against 10 men.

It was a very obvious form of sexual harassment. He should have been fired instantly.

We literally just signed a 30 year old so I’m not sure on your point?
How do you think the owners influence who signs or not?

Nil what FSG guidelines are you talking about? Or are you another nonsense spouting Liverpool fan with no idea about how transfers work?

I don’t think so. UEFA changed FFP to 5 years because of Chelsea’s contracts but I think the Premier Leagues P+S rules are still for the length of the contract. This might change of course, but not sure they can punish retrospectively in that case.
This link explains Chelsea’s situation far better.

It depends on how much they sell. For the next 5 years they need to cover the amortasied amounts all these transfers incure if they make it to europe by selling players, ideally ones that have no amortasied values (like Mount, academy players etc). For the PL the payment can be amortasied over the full length meaning less per year but still needs to be covered and of course is not dependent on European qualification.
At least this is how I see it. They are playing a very risky game.
What did Swissramble actually say? Only links I see require a subsciption.

Lavia apparently agreed terms with liverpool before a bid was accepted but then did a u-turn so I wouldn’t read too much into it.
I think there’s little chance of buying Andre now as his team are still in the Copa Libertadores and their transfer window is shut giving them no chance of a replacement. Plus he’s only 80% owned by his club so its complicated. January would be a far better bet.

Well of course FFP doesn’t work City have already proven that.
FFP already states 5 years maximum for amortisation however as Chelsea are not in Europe this doesn’t affect them. The Premier Leagues own rules of Profit and Sustainability still use as long as the contract is hence the 8 year contracts given out this season.
Heck or a risk by Chelsea as I can see it falling down around them but nothing actually to do with FFP.

I cannot see a Saudi team join the CL but I can see the Saudi’s making their own tournament and luring the top European teams by pumping billions into it.
Before you know it a super league is formed and league football is dead as we know it. I actually suspect this could be the end goal of this whole Saudi movement into top level football.

Of course it could be the powers above him make the choice to sign Greenwood and that wouldn’t come as a surprise.
Mendy, Greenwood, Ronaldo, Partey, all scumbags but rich scumbags and that gives them literally a get out of jail card to treat people however they like. Even some TV and film celebrities, ex presidents etc. Money is a form of power and those with power usually prevail.
Speaking of which I find it somewhat ironic that Greenwood is being rightfully chastised by people that clearly see Ronaldo as their hero. He did what they all do, just throw enough money until the problem goes away.

You are winning pretty much everything at the moment and I’m sure you enjoy it but you’ll never get the respect other teams get in many fans eyes.
