Mikus, its well within FFP to gain investment by selling shares, and form what ive read its to expand the business group as a whole and increase share price, its a tech firm so will likely add lots of tech to the group and improve things that way as well as reaping the share price as it continues to grow
it then says that liverpool are in the best position of any other club to follow this model and gain some increased cash, you wont always have the luxury to sell a player like Cout and spend Circa £250m in 6 months to get quality like VVD…who knows about robertson he may still have come in, thats down to the manager and scouts, nice to have options tho and play on a level playing field when it comes to cash tho and do it senseibly and within the rules…
its a bigger picture about growing LFC as a brand and business that can only benefit the club/team/supporters as a whole

CM, it is definatley a key part to whats needed, but alone wouldnt be enough without upgrades at CB and RB, need the whole package not just one element…how about Kante for £8m? 😉

we have decent youth already and they are being played and doing OK concidering the environment and total lack of a clue form the manager, the CB that comes in next year is already a start, not sure holding will make the step up but maybe OK backup, but we need at least one solid commanding CB to pair with the new lad, id also add a RB personally as ours hasnt been great attacking or defending for a while…LB im happy with, then a SOLID Dm and the attackers are all in place really, then its working on tactics, an identity and mentality…

thats what the article alludes to though 999, regardless of if Erikson figures are acurate, i took as saying he is worth that even though they wont get that for him due to his contract, he has to be in the £80-£100m bracket for a MF? so to replace him with like would cost that much at least…before you start on the rest of the team and squad, so lose for free and pay that much to replace, and then you have the stadium and all the sponsors and everything, same as with united, they dont want to pay as much when the team isnt at the sharp end…it could very well be a 2-3 year gap cost saving excerice in one sense, tho if Levy does spend and support Maureen then as you say he really did a number on Poch!

CL finalists and regualr top 4 finshers on that budget isnt too shabby, many have done much worse with much less
the biggest ones that should answer this question is not stats or a comparison to Klopp…it should be the spuds fans as we have heard on here, if THEY FEEL that there club is further along than they were before Poch and enjoyed the journey to boot then that should be the definitive argument for me

its the whining and entitlement (sometimes form some) that have wound me up, not liverpool FC or the way they play or Klopp, always had the greatest respect for all concerned, and my non red tinted glasses say that i just cant see liverpool not winning, i know its not done and dusted and a ways to go but looking at the other clubs i cant see you slipping…i think you and he will take that over the award! but then i do get what you say, would be nice for a deserbving player and defender to boot to win the damn thing, i just dont see it as counting for to much (other than maybe getting the big boys to try and take himoff yo in the summer 😉 )

we dont have much to crow about as a club only our FA cup victories (just) and invicibles and i want to keep them both until some bright spark at our club gives us a decent manager and chance to compete with the big boys!

but why? why does it matter so much, id be annoyed if he didnt win it but not to that extent…its just how corrupt these things are! he is about to win pool the first title in 30 years, sitting top, not lost yet (in PL), current CL winners having been finalist the year before…im sure hte man himself would shrug a shoulder and smile with a shake of the head and feel pretty smug even without the award!

lucky im not pulling your thesis apart im just disagreeing with you …at my own cost i might add given that i have to by default agree with nancy!
as the spuds fans themselves have stated they are a small team not expected to win anything or be in the top 4, they spent less money (£110m net in his entire tenure as boss)….so based on what was there, what was spent, then i think they both did decent, Klopp failed for 2 years and all were wondering why he wouldnt sort the defence, then he got his man and the rest is history…
i cant help but wonder where spurs would be now and if poch would still be there if he had the same expenditure as klopp or arsenal etc….
Poch is a top man and decent manager that got more out of a bunch of players than many could…thats quality, look at the 5-6 managers now that cant get a tenth of the squads they have like our own Basily Faulty waiter!still dont want him at ours tho…not good enough! 😉

yes it is 999 before him they could score but not always enough to win, but VVD been here a while and done hios thing and they are worse defensively this year and its been Mane conistent form and valuable goals that have put pool where they are…oh and of course the 12th man thats is VAR! 😉

your not wrong, its really fallen apart and its getting worse, i just hope our owners growq a pair and do something about it, if it was me id sack him and do what ever it takes to get proven winner and free agent Allegri in, we would likley pick up some decent SB in January like his form Juve player and he will come in and show the how to defend and what its like to have a winning strong mentality….
