that ship has sailed thanks to our inept board, i do agree we need a real MAN manager, one that can shake things up, shout when needed and put an arm round when needed, BIG ask for ANYONE to change such a weak mentality and culture though, but AW did it and if anything had a harder job convincing the likes of Adams and Merson to stop drinking and start eating well and training more etc….it could happen again but whoever it is they will need to have something special about them as a person and get all the squad agreeing and fighting etc

frankly im nervous whoever we appoint even if Pep or Klopp suddenly claim due to how we are run and the current state of the squad, who ever comes in would need a chance, as for Arteta, yes he played for us but was never considered a club lengend and was a little bit Marmite with the fans, if he is anyones ex playing legend it would have to be Everton
Brian Blue, youve said a few times you think the City succession will be done better and likely the club have the next man prepped and ready to go after Pep, did you mean Arteta with this or have someone else in mind? If Arteta because the club has been truly prepping him then it could be a very good idea and maybe why city are allegedly furious with us going for him and saying we will need to pay a price in the millions…if true maybe it shows how highly they rate him and if so maybe we all should to?!

the only thing that can be said now is we have the ability to MOVE FORWRD, rightly or wrongly at least we are no longer stuck in limbp, i just hope more good comes off this than bad and business can now look forward and stop hedging bets

sahme we lost Mak, reading between the lines and the various issues where he lives (stopped a rape and a suicide?) i think the lad may well be under immense stress and pressure, with studies and general living, not to mention his beloved Pool

regardless of view points and some of the things said (most of us at some point have lashed out) and even though he rinsed me good! i hope he is ok within himself, i sense more issues under the surface, stuff that Nil and myself know about perhaps
