Pepe…..i think he is only now just starting to settle, its not often easdy for anyone to join a new club and league let alone under the issues we had, i think arteta will help him settle and adjust, for me he gets a free pass this year but id like to see improvements, he has shown it in patches and he likes to take defenders on and has a decent cross and free kick…

i think its beyond that now personally 999, its not nice to ever want a ban or something but the lad has done this consistantly for years and years both here and on TT….and he has had so many nice words said to him and about him to help him and the cycle starts all over again.

I know Nil has mental health issues, big whoop many many do or have other conditions like Mak, none of it is an excuse to behave as he does time and time again.

Mak when i finally get my arse over to Eire this year to visit me mum and sister, if i head over to Galway i maight just swing by Cork for a beer if its at all possible mate 😉

yeah i wasnt sure on the exact circumstances hence i was fairly reticent in my post and didnt know the type of injury, there is no doubt he has talent and COUDL become a big big player, unfortunately i think the circumstances, definatly not helpes by Bayern turned his head, maybe he felt right at the time under Sarri but for me the other youth players you have have shown the way and mentality that is needed, to remain humble and hardowrking and not think youve made it when you havent! from the outside i wonder about his mantality and all the extra cash has done other than keep a talent that as yet has not proved himself or repaid that faith is causepotential upset with other youngesters who actually do deserve the cash he has.

such is life tho, you made a decision and could yet still be a good one, if he fulfills his potential then you will have a proper home grown world star, if his head istn right he could go the way of many others who never quite realise that potential and fade away…

nice to get a city thread started Brian, its a shame many of your fellow blues dont post as often anymore
also when someone like yourself speaks of the history it really does both give food for thought and make us realise that what you say is true, its just a game and things change, things always change the only thing that doesnt is the loive we have for our team, but wether we are rubbish and poorly run or winning everything in sight, it wont last it never does and the world keeps going round!

its weird with CHO, he was all th talk for a while under the previous mnaager and not getting played and maybe losing him, he then either hasnt featured much or done much when he has especially compared to the likes of Abraham and Mount, i think he has been eclpised and yet he is the one pulling in the big bucks having not earned or deserved it, its this kind of deals in clubs that make rods for our own backs…..

from a neutral perspective i kinda hoppe so to make things more exciting like last season when you oushed them all the wqay, that said if doesnt happen and i dont think it will im sure you lads would rightly prefer that, be all good once this monkeys off your back then its business as usual and hope the rest of us catch up over summer

unless ive read that wrong does that mean they propose unlimited under 21s on loan and 8 over 21s on loan? dont seem much different from now, may handicap chelsea but other teams should be ok!
they should have a max of 2-4 over 21s….over 21s shouldnt be considered youth anymore so either the club wants them or not

dont worry 3ps is far to easy to confuse me!
i just ifnd it very hard to compare teams from different eras to be honest, on paper many of those teams look far better than they actually were like my team, its quite possible a doubkle edged sword, that AW got that beautiful team/squad together but then didnt achieve half what he should have done, that team under a Pep or a Klopp now would be one of the best! good to get the old grey cells working though, even if mine are little on the slow side!

3ps are you changing the goal posts? surely if you compare succesful teams its abot what they achieved, how and under what circumstances?

if this thread is “which teams players look the strongest and best” or something then maybe people would vote differently?

for me its really hard to call, but city and pool over the last 2 years (more pool obviously) are utter machines, the number of games lost or drawn in over 2 seasons is naff all, utter machines!!! and they dont play badly either

each era had its own circumstances and nuances, WHEN pool win this year they will be up there with the best if not the best for me
