same for us 999 we are a joke at the moment because the club cant see what the rest of the world can see with our defense, better i hope once we have tierny and Rb back but 2-3 BIG defensive signings would propel us to major contenders

i think personally think he is very limited, how ANY manager especially in the top league can ignore our defence and the players and then introduce tactics to put them under even more pressure when they dont have the ability is shcocking
i think he is in the mould of AW, likes to attack and think thats it….his time is running short for me now, he has been backed, had time but its his own selection and tactics and refusal to learn now that are begining to irk!

Nancy im surprised you disagree with the mental aspect, the “English” mentality has been on the wain since the fall of empire and the fact that due to even having one we are now a nation of shame filled apologists with absolutly no self belief or any kind of winning mentality, compare any sport played by both Aussies and Brits and across the board the aussies have a winning mentality compared to us with a much smaller nation (populace wise) yet they excel in many sports…OK not football but you cant have everything 😉

i think they were better than the sum of all parts ended up being, it was a golden generation of sorts, i think we had poor managers and many of these players were always picked regardless of form or formation and asked to play in the wrong positions….also the rest of the world had a better class of player (the quality is detetiorating IMHO) and of course regardless of who plays and how good they are, every generation faces the same issue with the culture of England, the fans the media and our own inablity not to collapse when the going gets tough…mentality…..

is someone living in a city that is different from the PL team they support and the supporters of said city team in question think they are good (they of course have won the PL, a few other teams havent)…..mental

im not going to disagree as im not as close, but for me a short spell (all be it record breaking) maybe counting your chicken before they are hatched, of course only time will tell and if he does come back as good and continue to grow you will have gone form the worst defeence to the nest wioth plenty of cover…..wouldnt mind some of that at my team 😉

blimey i think Gomex has had one decent half season and been plagued by injuries….he does look good but many young players look good for bits and never kick on, if he cant displace matip and others then he honestly cant be that good! and Klopp sees more than you, it might just be a fitness thing though…i think HM is decent, not WC but very decent and will likley get better unless the “curse of Manchester United” hits and he tanks and regresses!
