to be fair i think poch will get more time and be given funds, they have spent big this summer (for them) broken their own transfer record, i think if he stays and is given a decent wedge in the summer it will change and improve, only he will know if he is likley to really get that support tho and its not just lip service form Dan the man

Mak, maybe its just me but its not how i have read the4 posts, thats like saying he has judged FL good enough in attack….i think he needs time and id be surprised if 442 wouldnt give it to him but lets not molly coiddle to much the managers when they mess up, as Maureen said recently, applaud failure and it becomes accepted…
maybe we can cut the confusion….
442 what is your opinion on FL after 6 games and how long are you willing to gove him
i do notice that much of what is being said is the different ways fans treat different managers, think that will always be the case tho and more polarised when a manager is a former fan fav and hero of the club….

442 ive said the same myself many a time, oh to have one of those 2 back just to work on the defense!
and emery has been given a free ride as fans knew its tough to replace AW and the mentality and all that cam with it (shocking squad of overpaid premadonnas)
as much as we have been patient and he has been given time it has not stopped fans calling out things obvious to see, defense or tactics or playing the same player or playing out form the back and inviting pressure, at some point the manager has to be made accountable, no doubt you odnt want FL out but not to over the odds to see an area of major strength beocme weakness….

course you can, we all have injuries, but if a fan sees a team being set up in away that means they cant defend then surely thats worth a chat? its a message board
seems to me that some feelings around the poster are coming through over and beyond the content of the post….
reminds me of TSO on my board in TT, the fella is black when most fans are white, night and day but he sticks to his guns and its HIS view, annoying as it can be you kinda have to respect that
(Even when he constantly exaults the virtues of Xhaka!!!)
just think the opinion is and of itself worthy even if you disagree and no need for any other “stuff”

im going to jump in here and play devils advocate…..
now i know there seem to be some issues brought over from the “other place” but taking those out of this i honestly dont see much wrong with whats been said.
A fan is worried about his clubs defensive frailties, is that wrong, 6 games or not?
Compared ot the same last year its very different, i thikn its OK to talk about surely?
I dont read it as slating FL he has complimented in other areas like attack, the things as Brian Blue said, we are all a product of wanting perfection from a sport, tho in my case its hardly wanting perfection as much as wanting very highly paid defenders to actually…you know…be able to defend!
Bit different to pool and you cant compare, pool were not where chelsea are when both toook over, pools defense was always bad, nearly as bad as ous and it took a long time to fix and a few errors on the way…FL is starting with a better defense

spuds have also been lucky in that they dont lose star players or have summer long transfer drama as one of the spanish duo try to unsettle them and they do all this on lower wages than they could get elsewhere
even Harry, golden boot 3 years running and no one has really tried their hand..only now as time creeps on and no trophies turn up players like eric must think i could get more money and win a trophy elsewhere….

might be just as well he doesnt stay top lonng, ig AW had gone after 10 years it would have been hard to move on but he would have remained an absolute legend, the next 10 years undid so much of that and left us in mess, he undid much of his own good work (as did ol red nose but still won the PL even with a shit team)
be greatful for what you have…it cant and wont last so enjoy~!

maybe a bit unfair on Stevie G saying he “onky at ragners” etc, lets be honest, they were and still are in a very difficult position, and he would still need to get them playing, build a squad and mentality and make tactical choices, if he does all that very well then he may be good enough for Pool or any other club, youd really need to hear week in week out from Rangers fans as to how he is doing in all that…..but no point taking someone because they “used” to be a good player for you….
we have many great ex players none of whom have done squat as managers as yet!
when its time for the big 2 to move on though, the cycle will start again and likley another 2 wil take over and those 2 will just be BIG 4 clubs and slowly wain…..but only if other clubs step up and also get lucky with managers and players….
