Oh welcome foxy. Pleased to see you have joined us here. A busier site with great people on board. No ‘rough diamonds’ that I have seen like other platforms.

Oh wow. Best wishes 999 and stay strong and positive my friend. I had no idea what was ahead of you. Hopefully a few eye raising player purchases will further brighten things up for you. Take care mate π

Agree Lucky and the lift in performance compared to the poor effort in particular against Arsenal probably indicates that too. The Villa result more so due to the closeness of the final. Maybe they have more faith in their own ability then we tend to give them credit for.

All that stress during the Villa game turned out to be simply a nuisance. I can imagine though that Tottenham doing us a massive favour made a big difference in this final. No added pressure regarding a spot in next yearβs competition was pretty useful I reckon removing that added pressure that would have been on the coach and the players.

Absolutely ecstatic but not surprised. I actually gave us a better chance of winning this than I did back in 2012 against Bayern Munich. Others (on the other site) were a bit more apprehensive.
I am lost for words and rather teary. I love this club, 54 years on supporting them and counting. There are a few Chelsea fans right now not doing so well and this would be a massive lift for them so my thoughts go out to them – Allan Palmer and also our own 999 who has had his moments health wise. So pleased for you 999.
The record under TUCHEL listed below is impressive and has been added to with this result. We simply struggle against packed defences no matter how inferior the Premier league opposition however seem to thrive against sides that want to express themselves and play open expansive football. A world class goal scorer obtained in the summer would be handy. Vardy would do well with his eye for goal. Harry Kane but a dream.
Liverpool 0 Chelsea 1
Chelsea 1 Man City 0
Man City 1 Chelsea 2
Man City 0 Chelsea 1One goal conceded in four games under TUCHEL against the best the English Premier League has to offer. Says it all really. The future is bright, the future is Blue. Tuchel is the man to take us forward. On that note Iβm off to enjoy the fruits of victory. Take care all and see you for the new season. In the meantime I think we have the Olympics to enjoy and also the rearranged Euros. Have fun.
Commiserations to Brian and giblues and any other City supporters on here.

100% with 999 there. As long as the feet are onside then the rest of it is anticipation. Anticipation should be rewarded not penalised. It is the feet that propel you forward, not the hand or any other part of the anatomy.

16th May 2021 at 7:19 am in reply to: FA Cup Final 2021 Chelsea v Leicester City – Saturday 17:15 #179204Chilwell for Alonso and including Giroud from the start I assume Moos. I would have preferred Kovacic for Jorginho however think he may not have been ready. Back in training though which is promising. Maybe we see him Tuesday night and he will make a difference for sure.

Regarding the above photo, Β Hazard has life long mates at Chelsea and entitled to be cheerful around them. Not his fault they lost. Real Madrid should change their name to Real Poor. They are an aging side that needs half a dozen new galacticos to get back to where they need to be.

They are going mental in Spain over this photo taken at the end of the game. Poor things π
This photo is already going viral in Spain. https://t.co/X1GhwJh4XX

These two legs really do show how far these lads have come under Tommy T. We are as good as chance as City of winning this big ears trophy for the second time now. They may still be favourites but there wonβt be much in the prices. Should have been 5 or 6 and Real Madrid were not even a major threat but that would be down to the quality of our guys. The next big test is City on the weekend.

Big match ahead United and Liverpool. Has to be a must win Liverpool or they are done for top 4. Lose and 7 points behind Chelsea with 4 to go might be at least a point too many to reel in. Chelsea also have a 6 goal better goal differential. Never thought I’d cheer on United in anything ever but, well, there you go.
Another point is that Liverpool winning hands City the title and may make Chelsea’s trip to City a more attainable challenge to earn at least a point. Our other tough match coming up Leicester I am confident of accruing points and Arsenal, well, surely a gimme π

Good to see United get through a game without receiving a result defining spot kick. I must admit I was worried when the ref went to the monitor. His honesty is refreshing. I bet Sir Alex was somewhere up in the stand going ballistic bless him.

hi Nil and hope you are well mate.
” I can accept defeat, but the manner of it is painful. Every game thereβs the same pattern. Thereβs no fight or team spirit. Just thinking about this all. I canβt believe how far weβve dropped down. There is a danger now of making anything.
No European qualification and essentially lose out on big Revenue not to mention the prospect of not attracting big name players. ”
I read your post as set out above and thought back to a few seasons back and those were our identical feelings about where we ultimately headed. The interesting thing though mate is that if you were to miss Europe completely you would immediately have a major leg in to be Premier League champions again next season due to less distractions/football to play mid-week. That’s the way I looked at it. See mate, a bright side to everything π

Steveo. Sometimes we need to reflect I guess. Being a City of Liverpool fan is not so bad when the supporters look around them and realise there are some much worse off than themselves. Our two clubs have a way to go to even dream about being title contenders again unless others come crashing back down to our level. Off the back of being champions and winning the Champions League over the last year or so I would have thought a minor hiccup like one poorish season would be taken in someone’s stride and not become an event of devastation that we all have to hear about. I think we have suffered enough with the inconsistency of our clubs’ performances for more than a few seasons now but I guess we are all different.

Massive difference Blaze. I remember a few years back the Australian womens International team the Matildas had a warm up match for an upcoming tournament against the local A-League club side Newcastle Jets under 15s boys team and got belted 7-0.

Don’t go there Nil, I believe you are better than that. Liverpool are simply having one of those seasons with contributing issues. Sometimes we just have to write them off and look forward to what is ahead. Whilst Klopp is at the helm you will not suffer mediocrity for long. Chelsea are not much better to be honest. Smile mate and move on π

999 sums it up well. Chelsea have a hell of a lot of work to do as well. Yet another toothless display by us up front. Liverpool have key players missing that no doubt contribute to the situation. Not sure I can say the same at the Bridge.
