Sean, two against Germany and one against France. The rest …….well…… go to the bottom of this Wiki page and see for yourself. Every goal for England is listed showing the opponents. I am not surprised.

Absolutely Sean. Well said. Exciting times ahead. The threat going forward to success could simply be Southgate cocking it up. Time will tell.

They even made Tammy Abraham look good although I was starting to doubt him for a while after he came on against San Merino whilst Harry Kane got a whole bunch of cheap goals to take him in front of Lineker in the pecking order. Isn’t it crazy that any goal scored in the last minute to win a world cup final is worth exactly the same as those seven Kane has scored this weekend against donkeys. One of sports anomalies I am afraid. What a weekend eh for Kane like a vulture feeding off of a carcass of a deceased sheep (Merino).

on the other site only a week back Moos was trying to convince WF to join him in being one of the few that gave Chelsea players credit where it was due. Brothers in Arms the two of them. Proper p*ss takers with, sadly, a little bit of Syd in both of them.

The easier run is now over. Tough run ahead, three of next four in the Premiership. We have Leicester away, United home, Watford away and West Ham away. I’d be rapt if we were still top at the end of that. Long way to go to May 2022 and I’d be disappointed if we weren’t still up there challenging right through to the finish line. I think we might finish a reasonably close run 3rd. Toss of the coin between City and Liverpool. It may well come down to which has the better run re injuries to key players. At the start of the season most on here would have taken third I reckon.

Yes Lucky we cannot afford too many more injuries in some of those positions we are already light on. I reckon against this mob we could experiment with Marcos Alonso and Reece James up front and still do a number on Malmo they were that poor at the bridge. That would protect the likes of CHO and Havertz π

There can be only one outcome here. Malmo are horrible. Iβll guess 3-0 in a canter. If they can be bothered it could be double that but I think theyβll go through the motions second half and focus on the weekend and Burnley.

Stick Marcos Alonso up front in a desperate situation. I reckon he’d go ok in the position.

Check out Salah’s highlight real against Shrewsbury in the FA Cup. He was below average. He’s improved a tad unbeknown to Jose. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZmjStWi9VE

Unfolding beautifully. What an amazing match that was at Anfield. We still got some wriggle room to come up to those standards set by Liverpool and City however we are right there in that battle to win the title. As I said, we have a good run of fixtures ahead the next 6 or 7 weeks before we play Leicester and then Manchester United so all we can do is keep on winning and see where that leaves us heading for Christmas. Open up some sort of a gap and then you never know. Everybody waited for Leicester to cave in 6 odd years ago. Why should this be any different and we are much shorter odds than Leicester? :))))

Quite content being top of the table and possibly still there after City and Liverpool play with a very good run of matches we should win. Remember we have played City, Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal in the first 6 matches and three of those away from home.

Cobwebs being shaken off at Chelsea. A fortnight break and then a pretty good run of fixtures although Brentford will be interesting. Letβs hope for no injuries during the International matches and others carrying injuries closer to a return. On the first half, if we hadnβt got the three points it would have been a travesty of justice. Multiple chances and two disallowed by VAR, the Werner headed goal disallowed due to a Dave foul which the referee would have seen and allowed play to continue. Not even the touchie gave any input at the time. How they can then go back and effectively reverse a goal on that is beyond comprehension. At 2-0 that would have been game over and probably my 4-0 tip enacted. As it was Southampton were being kept in the game 1-0 then a rusty Chilwell gives them a pen. I still reckon we would have gone on to victory without the red card however the best team won without doubt. Top of the table, a draw between Pool and City and they are chasing us up the table with multiple should win games ahead. Iβm excited.

All Villa had to do was convert one more of at least half a dozen fairly clear cut chances to beat us. We were fortunate. What was it, 9 changes to the weekend side? Risky business whatever the quality of the incoming players at this level as Manchester United found out this evening. Fortunate to get through in my opinion. Penalties it was. Not surprised Timo was not asked to take one. Too much pressure right now for him. Pleased he got that long elusive goal. Pity he didnβt convert that opportunity a few minutes later. That would have been ideal. Southampton at home next round.

CHO when given a chance at Chelsea needs to go to another level. He really needs to turn heads. He hasn’t quite done that yet. Today against Villa is, I assume, his chance to knock the socks off everybody and get the pundits talking. A bit like auditions on Britain’s Got Talent. If you don’t win the votes with a yes, yes, YES and YES you don’t get a chance at going to the big dance. Maybe he simply cannot go to that next level that wins you a regular starting spot in the first eleven. Up to you Callum lad.

Agree Pagan 100% however of the opinion that they didn’t need to go through too many gears to achieve the desired result and were never really tested. A long season ahead and bigger fish to fry. Three points and a great start. Zenit are a useful side that hadn’t lost in their previous 20 odd outings. Not bad for the supposed 3rd best side in the group. We may actually find Juve an easier nut to crack whilst Malmo should be a banker 6 points. On to Tottenham. Really looking forward to that one.

Mostly a controlled performance against Zenit without being inspirational, desired result and three points. Not much else to say really other than RL doing what he does best.Good to see RLC get 2 minutes and thirty seconds. Maybe the FA Cup and Carabao Cup could be when he earns a pay cheque on a match day. Chilly finally got a token run. His time will come in a starting eleven. Alonso canβt play every match of the season.

Years gone by we were sure to lose after an International break. Add to that many key players rested and playing Raul when he was clearly not ready for the experience yet. They battled through the first half and once Tuchel sorted things at half time second half much better. Maybe the goal straight after half time deflated Villa whilst settling some nerves however 3-0 is a great result and they deserved it overall. Kovacic very good again and underrated by some and not sure why. Hudson Odoi looked sharp and will add value as the season moves on. Lukaku showed what we have missed for quite some time. 3 points and equal top of the table. Palace beating Spurs 3-0 only added to a joyful evening of football.

Three games played and away fixtures against both Arsenal and Liverpool ticked off – can’t complain guys.
