Gents, had to move house. Sick of the constant Potter bashing over the other place. The last straw the video with that mouthy Lewis/Louis swearing like a trooper on a video I unfortunately were listening to with my grandson and his mother in the room. Enough is enough. Half the side new, two key wingbacks feeling their way back to match day fitness and we weren’t too bad at all. Should have scored 2 or 3 (Felix surprisingly missed 2 in 10 minutes late 1st half) and had them on toast for large parts of the 2nd half. I’m over the constant negativity over there. Wise Fan has been surprisingly POSITIVE. I have a huge headache from it right now. Anyway I’m over this side of the fence now :))

Gudday Nil. Hope you are well buddy. I am similarly rattled by Chelsea’s situation and can only put it down to all the points raised in my above post. I have been thinking it all through October and today it all came home to roost.

Look at the squad, depth, injuries especially to key players, number of games played through October as against that of your direct opposition and there you have it. Liverpool struggling, Chelsea struggling. Both focusing on Champions League. Leeds and Brighton the whole week to prepare for the weekend. With this World Cup in November thing and the ridiculous expectation to compete in so many matches something has to give against these clubs focusing on just the Premiership and it has. I’ve said for weeks that 38 year old Thiago Silva will suffer from too much work. Today it caught up with him big time. Same with others in the side hence Potters’ massive changes and risk taking with some weird selections that are coming unstuck. I am assuming Liverpool are also suffering similarly PLUS Mane being a massive loss for them. Don’t expect much of a recovery this season as the upcoming World Cup takes it’s toll before the ride home next year when the damage for this season has already been done. United Tottenham and Arsenal have had their moments too and I’m expecting all three to weaken as the season progresses. City are untouchable and will end up way clear at the top come May.

Looks like Mike Dean is back for another season. It appears only as a dedicated VAR ref though.

I’ll never forget those last day nerves there with City against QPR a decade ago and Sergio Aguero scored the title winner in the last moments of the season. Could something similar unfold either way on Sunday. I get a feeling both sides will win but you never know.

You lads need a split TV screen on Sunday where you can watch both matches concurrently. All I can say is go the Villa. You never know. At least you have forced them to win the last match to become champions. Look at them last week at West Ham. Going 2 down shows the pressure and they easily could have dropped points. Never say never with Villa. Good luck fellas. After that one point 2nd a few seasons back you deserve to square the ledger.

You win both and City only draw and you are Champions. That simple nil.
You’ll beat Southampton surely so it’ll be another last day extravaganza. Should be good. Don’t write off Villa getting a draw either. Maybe nerves will get to City. Anyway both champion sides so good luck nil and Brian.

16th May 2022 at 10:53 pm in reply to: Nine Nine Nine – an update and an opportunity to leave a message #196155Just attained top four status without the need to kick a football. Now just a matter of drawing one of the remaining two matches to finish 3rd (I think we can win both especially v Watford) and the top team in London. We like to have those bragging rights and it’ll put a smile on 999s face which is always good ๐

I think you can be pretty sure that won’t go belly up and don’t forget either Arsenal or Tottenham dropping any points in their last games will get us over the line anyhow. It’s all over!! I reckon Newcastle will nick a draw against Arsenal and that’ll do it without Chelsea having to kick another football.

15th May 2022 at 1:39 pm in reply to: Nine Nine Nine – an update and an opportunity to leave a message #196109Totally agree Moos or is it Mighty Moos or is it Mighty Mouse? :))))) and the first four penalty takers for us had me wondering why. All defenders before Jorginho stepped up for the fifth. Maybe they were a better bet than our forwards. Based on our finishing in general play that may well be the case, the forwards lack confidence.
