๐จ Chelsea owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital want to give time to Graham Potter; they are aware the six January signings have made the squad bloated.
The owners also want to give him a pre-season with the addition of Christopher Nkunku in attack.#CFC

I see on the other site it is a Potter free for all now and the one that was primarily focused on an agenda is not party to it anymore. Chris is an excellent contributor on that site and well respected but for that campaign. He now has many there onside it appears, not his doing, but the ongoing poor form and results. I still hope beyond hope that these blokes click into gear and start winning to take some pressure off. That group of players should be winning 90% of matches. If, after all, the weight of blame is with Potter then maybe the change has to be made and then with it some stability there within the club and ALSO within its fan base at which time I will resume posting there on TeamTalk. In the meantime this will do me just fine 999 and in time I will probably run with both sites as a contributor ๐

Extremely disappointed to hear he and his family are getting death threats. Surely these fools are trackable and will face the full force of the law. Apparently he was receiving emails. Wow, DNA all over those and the individual identifiable quite easily.

26th February 2023 at 8:18 am in reply to: Weekend Football – Gameweek 25 & Carabao Cup Final 2023 #204787Trying a bit of reverse psychology 999. I’d be more than happy for a backs to the wall 1-0 win. ๐

26th February 2023 at 4:25 am in reply to: Weekend Football – Gameweek 25 & Carabao Cup Final 2023 #204783Bad day at the office nil buddy. Wait to later today when Tottenham beat Chelsea 4-0 with Kane and Son carving us up. I am normally positive but right now not so and have really bad vibes about this game, I really do!! That will be the ultimate car crash buddy. We are in a worse situation than Liverpool right now. Have faith in Klopp to get his way and rebuild and a return to what is expected. Chelsea also a rabble but that after a half a billion quid worth of investment. Potter also needs time (at least the rest of the season and even one extra) PLUS a return of Kante and a half decent number nine.

Potter replaced Tuchel as he was considered the man that bought into Boehly’s vision and Tuchel wasn’t the right man. Hardly about to replace Potter anytime soon. The owners expected it to be tough initially but some of our supporters have been spoilt way too long and know very little else. Others have been through the bad and tough times and, while we don’t like the current situation are more open minded. Too many lack patience and that does not include present company on Footy Debate.. The masses on platforms like Twitter are toxic.

Further Liverpool have had their woes too but yesterday there were signs of things improving . Injuries to key players I’m guessing PLUS the loss of Mane which appears to have been more of an issue up front than anyone expected. At least you are seeing light at the end of the tunnel ๐

The sad thing is the impatience of the supporters pointing the finger at Potter when Boehly and co understand what is required. Arsenal were the same under Arteta for a few seasons and look at them now. Patience is the key. Nice chatting nil. It’s been a while ๐

Southampton at home to me was three points in the bank but I was expecting Silva and James to back up seeing we have no mid week match coming up. I would have thought Potter would have taken no risks with selection but he thought otherwise. Changing half a side, sending players out there that are barely familiar with each other in one of the best leagues in the world is asking for trouble.

Since my post they have shown plenty of backbone and come back from 2-1 down v Villa for a vital win and City dropping points at Forest which was a huge surprise so yes, it’s going to be an interesting run in it appears. You are probably right that this Arsenal is made of sterner stuff than some of their sides in years past (apart from the invincibles of course).

What to make of this from Franck LeBoeuf. Never seen him so outspoken. He’s had enough!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyEIjJpxWHU

Not much to say really. Considering we have no mid week game coming up I am confused with team selection, especially omitting Reece James. Today they looked like a bunch of players that had never trained or played together. Thoughts go out to Dave. That really looks serious and hoping for him a full recovery. That was a savage kick to the head. One of the worst I have seen.

Yes, terrible news that. On our books but never played for the club. I remember him at Newcastle at one stage. Awful tragedy. RIP.

Hey Nil hope you are well buddy. I think Arsenal are doing what they do better than any other club. Crashing and burning into the new year. I predicted they would over a month ago. They are struggling and will find it difficult to turn it all around. By the time they do City will be on top of the table and from there unstoppable. Leicester away on Sunday 26 February will be difficult for Arsenal on the current form of Leicester.

Cheers Rover and it all makes sense and it would be logical that part of their day(s) during the training sessions they would do just that. Trouble is, with a committed defence in front of them on match day they always seem to be rushed. Simply very good defending with a packed defence. Replicate that at training and they likely have the same problem. It’s about getting the shot away under pressure and we struggle big time. Very frustrating but still, Felix surely had to finish on at least one of the two guilt edged chances he had.

I can’t put my finger on it as to why so many chances get spurned by so many different players notwithstanding we don’t have a proper centre forward. Felix missed two gifts in the 30th and then the 38th minutes of the Dortmund match. Chances I would imagine a player of his quality would score 9 times out of 10.

Cheers 999. Prefer you leave the other site as is with my comment on there. I don’t want to be the catalyst for any issues on there. Just leave that be and I’ll post here for the time being and watch in for a while on Teamtalk. I tell you now that this squad we have will give us plenty of joy moving forward. They just need a bit of time and the goals and better results will come. They played well yesterday away from home to a pretty handy opponent. Things ARE improving. Just need the tide to turn with goals. Surely Southampton at Home should be a pretty good starting point to boost confidence.

Just thought I’d save our home from disappearing off the map. Hopefully there’s a few more around than just Lucky, 999 and now myself. 999 don’t say a word on Teamtalk just let it go. I will probably post on there again once we string a few wins together, three might be a big ask for the moment :))))
