Saw nothing to suggest to me that Michy is a threat to Tammy’s position right now. Almost goal a game Tammy is secure right now and besides Lampard clearly likes his work, not only in combat, also on the training ground.

Michy took one of numerous chances and was caught offside way too often. The game itself was pretty boring with Belgium dominating possession, well pretty much everything. Eden Hazard’s long pass for Belgium’s second goal was a peach and reminded me of his qualities.

and if its not the media its club tribal supporters who used to boo their players because they played for the enemy in club land. Lampard was given it with both barrels at times. Then, of course there are other well documented issues which is very sad in this day and age. It could only happen in England and the press are renowned for it. We in Australia and also the press, support representatives of our country all the way. The only ones that are criticised are those that embarrass the country. We have a few male tennis players that fall into that category.

Oh dear it is extraordinary that a guy cannot get a look in with his club side yet gets picked for and scores the winner for the World Champions.

yes nil contact via his email address was attempted by the editors however he failed to respond. Hopefully one day he will wander back onto the site and wonder what all the fuss was about. Well, at least, we hope so.

Totally agree Nil. It is good of people to announce they are leaving for good. 999 and I are concerned not knowing what has happened to our cyber mate CFC1905 on the other site as he was a regular poster for years and years, last posted end June this year and we have heard nothing since. Here’s hoping he is indeed OK but we may never know.

Good time to get City? Sadly we have to wait until 24/11/2019 away from home and when they are most likely back in form and angry.

No mate, much the same as the post above. Agree, he appears to be keeping a low profile right now and, for sure, best it stays that way.
Nothing in it to antagonise (which is something I am very careful not to do as you know) but just facts as they are. Also it was a response to Aindro’s comment on there where he mentioned Willian’s performance so there is indeed a communicating link there π

Used by dates for managers does appear to be the norm except for one and, not sure but maybe another.
Sir Alex left when he wanted to. If he wanted he had the job for life. I was thinking that was the same for Wenger but I think eventually his stay wore thin and he probably received a little whisper that it was time.
My hope, that Frank Lampard is successful and stays for an eternity. I’d hate to see him sacked. That would be unpalatable.

To be honest 999 I have already posted re Willian on there before I read your post above as I was on that site before coming on here but feel free to delete it if you like.
In fact I am a little bemused by the extent of Frank’s praise after the Southampton match yesterday. It is glowing so I just had to post it there as there can be no arguments, even with our illustrious friend.
For those that missed his post match interview, Lampard assessed the mix of youth and experience in his team and picked out one player for special praise.
βThe balance at the moment is good. Itβs nice for me, itβs great to coach because the young players want to improve all the time, but you have to mention the experienced players around them.
βWillian was the standout today, without a doubt. If you wanted to show our wingers what we want from them, we would show them a video of his work ethic today, and his quality and burst of pace on the ball.
βIn the last four or five games he has been our best player. Itβs a great thing to say when you have got players who are examples on the pitch around these young boys.β

I guess it’s a crisis. They were dreadful at Brighton. Simply awful. What is happening there? Stale and a lack of investment by deep pockets Levy must be part of the problem and Poch has probably had a gutful and is now out of ideas. Even Kane looked out of form. I guess the loss to Bayern may have shattered their confidence too and given Brighton some hope.

Agree chelseaman and he polled as man of the match on twitter too. His energy is there for all to see and he works his socks off. That is why I don’t know why he is so disliked. On twitter they batter him too. It is when he does really well and gets no credit that it gets my back up. Frank picks him all the time so there must be something in that.

Didn’t see the City game but it must have been a major improvement in Wolves performance to that when we beat them 5-2 only a three weeks back. City coudn’t even score once. Rather odd that when I still fear our defence (even now) against a City side that score for fun.

Good morning Nil – after City 0 Wolves 2 we might have to create a new thread called Manchester City going backwards. Long way to go and the clash between you guys and City next month will be significant. United losing too made it a really good day. Liverpool can really enjoy the International break off the back of this weekend’s results. π

Agree lads I am one for supporting our players through thick and thin and hate ongoing agendas against certain players. We have a few players at Chelsea that can never please some.

I’ve seen a yellow changed to a red a few times this season after the referee reviewed it himself on a TV monitor but the games I watched were outside England. Maybe that is the difference, not VAR but the referee himself after VAR encouraged it.

What do you think of Henderson Nil. There seems to be divided opinion on him, especially on the other site.

The timing of it is irrelevant. It is whether it is a penalty or not and that was a penalty. The right decision was made in my opinion.
