Great idea Chelsea Man. Only yesterday I was thinking of posting something and then realised there was no where appropriate to post it so I parked it at the other place. Here it is:
A Pat Nevin article which is very interesting. He comes up with a side where none of the selected players are current starters.

Bournemouth v Manchester United draw, Sheffield United to win against Burnley 2-1, I fear for Southampton at City – probably 6-0, West Ham at home to beat Newcastle 2-0, Arsenal and Wolves draw, Liverpool to beat Villa away say 3-0, Brigton and Hove Albon to beat Norwich at home 1-0, Watford 1 Chelsea 2, Palace and Leicester draw which may surprise some, Everton and Spurs draw.

Almost as if the big teams were seeded for the draw to avoid them clashing too early in the competition. Would not be surprised if the big two are not kept apart when the semi final draw is done as well. Four of Premier League’s current top 7 remain. Who said this was a Micky Mouse competition that the bigger clubs just take for granted? Oh right 999 I am on the wrong site. It is probably not very wise of me to ask but where is he anyway? Not complaining mind you π

in our situation we might give some of the experienced old heads a run to give youth a rest.

ha ha Nil try 1.30am or 2.00am or 3.30am with the best scenario 11.30pm for the lunch time kick off. That is what I have had to put up with for the best part of the last 20 odd years since pay TV came in. Actually Monday night games are the best case scenario for me as it is 7am Tuesday so I get a normal nights sleep in and they are rare. Always remember that things could always be worse π

Really want you lads to win it though Mak after last season. 97 points to only get 2nd was outrageous.

Pressure right on Liverpool against Spurs now. A must win game to maintain their lead. A loss and it’s back to only 3 points and City a better differential of goals.

Well well that makes our 1-1 draw at the Bridge when our defence was more than dodgy look like a great result. Leicester were irresistible tonight.

That second Ox goal was something else. What a strike.

Chelsea line up against Ajax apparently. I doubt it though as Mason Mount needs to be there in this one.

That Pepe appears to be one footed. Why would he try and score with the left foot, a ball coming in from the left when it would have been a nailed on goal side footing in with the right. Expensive flop?

Lukaku 2 goals first half at Inter. Couldn’t scratch himself at United. Big loss for them as they are now threadbare for strikers. Up at 2.30am in the morning to watch United and Liverpool Nil. I hope it’s worth it. Go Liverpool.

United only one point outside the bottom three and may well remain there after the Liverpool clash. Can they get relegated? They can but they won’t. If the rot continues the manager will go and there will be a recovery. Too many good players there to even consider relegation in my opinion.

The spuds doing it real tough. Only a draw against Watford at home and that with a late equaliser. Has to be internal problems there. I wonder if Levy might bight the bullet and bring out the axe?
Re Chelsea, tough win against a well organised Newcastle. I think now everybody that supports our club can embrace this transition we are going through instead of fearing it. Sure there will be a bit of a bumpy ride but we now know that collectively and also individually these boys are definitely good enough as Premier League players and will only get better. Willian was very good again today and certainly not over the hill yet. He seems to be very happy playing for Frank and I get a gut feel that Frankβs man management skills may well be right up there with the best. Exciting times ahead lads and so pleased for Frank and Jody that everything is heading in the right direction.

Honestly, on form Liverpool should win it 3 or 4 nil. It’s that rivalry and I am sure Olle will be reminding them of that right up until kick off. Not sure this bunch of United players have the mettle so I will stick with 3 or 4 nil. Olle’s last hurrah possibly.

Bit harsh on both Barkley’s looks or hairdo. Far worse in football than him. Maybe best to focus on his footballing ability. He played well for England but so did many. The opposition were poor.
