Heven’t kept up with the news however noted today after seeing Son out there for Spuds that the red card was rescinded. A great decision in my opinion as it removes him from direct culpability with the Gomes injury, a burden that psychologically would not have been good for him to carry. Clearly there are some nasties out there, both at the matches and on social media that would have annihilated Son unmercifully for weeks on end but for that decision. Well done the FA with the decision. You can bet that Son would have made contact with Gomes to wish him well and check on his wellbeing.

Like the nice relaxed approach 😉 . You like to kick every ball with them. That is brilliant. Bit like me last night watching Chelsea. May the best team win Nil. I have a gut feel that Liverpool will take advantage of a few weaknesses in this one. Apparently City are minus their no 1 keeper and Central defender. I’ll enjoy watching a replay when I wake up at 7am Monday morning 🙂

News today that Aussie Sam Kerr is almost certainly joining Chelsea’s women’s team. Nobody probably cares about the women’s side of things but Sam is right up there in the top two or three players in women’s football worldwide.

A draw would be fine. Just to be equal on points with City if we account for Palace would be an achievement I reckon. Within 6 of Liverpool having lost to them already would also be something. Those results would leave us going to City in the following game hunting points to shoot 3 clear of them. I can relate to that. #thefutureisbrightthefutureisblue

A major test on the horizon in a few weeks time away at City however I feared Liverpool and we came through two matches against them with dignity and were unlucky in both, at times on top. Be happy to get City out of the way without a nasty tonking. Rudiger and Kante should be back by then which will be a major plus and not before time.

Court of Arbitration for Sport has confirmed that #cfc’s appeal against Fifa’s two-window transfer ban will be heard on November 20. If reduced by one, the club will be allowed to buy in January.

and now wee Son in trouble with the authorities and gone for three weeks. I really think that card colour needs to be reviewed, not on appeal but by the FA of their own doing.

Huge difference between giving Son a yellow instead of a red apart from the obvious punishment is the psychological affect it has on Son and the public’s general perception of him. Son’s reaction to the injury even before the red was shown was clear for all to see. He was horrified. His tackle did not cause the injury. Gomez gets straight up and it is a yellow every day of the week. If the card remains as a red then for all intents and purposes Son is found guilty of a heinous crime against a fellow human being and his health and general well being. A stigma he must not be burdened with in this case. The card must be overturned and changed to a yellow on appeal. I would even suggest the powers that be overturn it themselves without the need for a appeal.

The tackle was most likely retribution for the tackle a few minutes prior by Gomez on Son but notwithstanding I don’t think it should be relevant and part of a thought process on Son’s intention at the time.

Re Lampard, isn’t it fantastic listening to a post match interview which is interesting and makes sense. I used to walk away as soon as Conte and Sarri woffled on about trivial, irrelevant and repetitive garbage week after week.

Should have been used in Son’s defence and reversed the red notwithstanding the horrible injury suffered, not directly as a result of Son’s foul.

Beat City at Anfield and then we beat City on their ground whilst Liverpool win their game of that round and then start looking forward. Southampton gave them a run for their money so why not 🙂

That Jorginho booking was contrived to clear the deck and be on board for City. Watch the last 10 minutes again and, in particular, Jorginho. It was a case of if at first you don’t succeed then try, try again.
