Love to be up there in the stands listening to what Rooney, Giggs and others must be saying about this lot and wait for the remainder of the United pundits like Ferdinand and Neville to have their say. Anyway there’s still a second half to go and, well, you never know. Could it possibly be a game of two halves and a 3-3 result? Stranger things have happened. Liverpool in Istanbul comes to mind 🙂

Crash mould lol. Try crash mode. Not sure we should be comparing Ancelotti to Mourinho for any reason whatsoever. Both are Chelsea legends as managers however Carlo is way more level headed and respectable and, I am sure carries little if any baggage compared to Jose. I am sure Jose gets sacked on purpose for the big pay out in season three when to goes feral and intentionally loses the dressing room and then management then goes elsewhere to start the process again. Cannot tag Carlo with that.

Batshuayi a major liability. Three clear heading chances off target from peach Reece James crosses and got in the road of a Pedro shot at goal. 2-0 up at half time and doing it in a canter however a borderline VAR penalty decision for offside taken from Forest which may have put more pressure on us than there is. Goals Hudson-Odoi and Barkley. Expecting more in the 2nd half.

Alonso is a strange one because he has a big impact offensively in some games and can even stand out. Defensively, I guess, is his real issue. Emerson has gone off a bit. His last few efforts have been, well, ordinary.

Would be good to see that side play. If they got through it would be a bonus however resting pretty much everybody else for a weekend at least has to be the way to go after the busy 4 weeks just passed and with 4th spot our main focus for the club’s finances with more CL football next season.

Beat West Ham in the game in hand and 16 clear of 2nd. It’s all over barely half way in. The insurance of being allowed to lose FIVE matches and that’s if the challengers (which I use loosely) win all their remaining matches. The bookies can safely pay out now and get the winnings reinvested on something else.

In my opinion it should only be offside if there is daylight between the attacker and defender at the time the pass is made. if the bodies (torsos) line up with no daylight in between and the attacker is through on goal and scores then he anticipated the pass better than the defender.

Can anyone explain how we retained eleven on the pitch? Forever grateful to the benevolent referee but what Jorginho did twice had to equate to a yellow on both occasions surely. Guilty on one count but not the other and it is a yellow card offence 100% of the time isn’t it.

It will be interesting from a Chelsea supporters’ perspective watching David Luiz as an opponent today. The day he left I chuckled that Arsenal with all their defensive issues would sign Luiz who himself has some defensive lapses in his locker which we may well expose. Can’t wait for it. 4 hours 10 minutes to kick off and counting. 1am kick off here but I’ll be up and ready.

17 from 18 and what about the run before this season, the head and head battle with City to try and win the title last season or the fact they won game after game to win the Champions League. One loss in 50 something (and I disregard the Villa game in the Carabao Cup for obvious reasons). It’s currently Liverpool first and daylight second but City will be back to challenge big time next season.

As every match passes it becomes even more nailed on Nil. Its not over until its over ie. mathematically impossible to lose but the way it is going that could be mid March which would be outrageous. Wolves are the latest allies.

An opportunity for redemption against another arch enemy in Arsenal on Sunday. It worked against Spuds so expect a victory here. Their defence with Socratis and Luiz should guarantee plenty of opportunities. Our lads just have to take them.

I would expect this team to have a serious crack at back to back CLs considering their prolonged form this season. They have to be close to the best club side in Europe right now. The conistency is out of this world and that follows on from more than 4 months of relentlessly trying to run City down last season. Phenomenal football side and this run really does reopen the age old debate as to who is the better manager Pep or Jurgen. I tossed it around for a bit and voted for Jurgen back then as I reckon he would be an outstanding man manager and motivator, possibly more so than Pep and nothing has changed to make me waver only got stronger. Tactically there probably isn’t much at all in it.
