Absolute rubbish – just knew it – I’m going to bed now at 6.30am. Disaster.

We need a leader, never going to get a John Terry quality type leader again in my lifetime I wouldn’t think but we need better than Dave as a leader out there.

999 my thoughts were exactly that. I believed Kante was a must keep pretty much until the injuries started rolling in toward the end of last season, that apart from his change in role away from that which he specialises in as the holding/defensive midfielder. The club have found that there is life after Hazard and may well want to cash in on N’Golo and use the funds to strengthen multiple positions including that of N’Golo himself.

N’Golo has all of a sudden become injury prone and we are less dependent on him, especially the modern day N’Golo. I’d like the player back that we had pre Sarri, doing what he did best however that may not be possible. He is signed up until late 2023. The following was his quote only in November 2019 when linked with PSG “βSometimes we do not necessarily know where we want to go, but we know what we have.” He said he felt good in London and had faith in the project at Chelsea.

Lewis Dunk on the incoming list apparently, so my brother told me.

Some players never come back from serious injuries as good as they were and that was my concern with CHO however as you say 999 the last couple of performances have shown me that there is better to come. To be fair though previously he was either not playing at all or coming on as a sub and that puts the pressure on him before he has even kicked a ball. Providing he stays healthy I think next season will present us moreso with the quality player we believe he will become. The same will be the case with RLC. This season the club is exceeding its own expectations. Frank, Jody and the team should be excited for the future and very proud. Restrictive buying in this window will give the players more confidence in the fact the club believes in them.

as we approach the quarter finals and the semi finals of the Champions League assuming Liverpool are still involved, there is a very good chance (with an unassailable lead in the title race) that Klopp could rest key players for the domestic matches and that may be their downfall in achieving an undefeated season.

999 was just thinking what an awesome Champions League final it would be if somehow Liverpool and City both found their way through to the big one.

I have always been genuine regarding my thoughts of this Liverpool team and I have stated accordingly. The recent post is 100% consistent with what I have been saying for well over a month now. Enjoy the ride and give the Champions League a good go too. Best team this season without doubt especially with City struggling with key areas they failed to provide cover for.

Actually if you win the game in hand and City win later you are still 17 clear of City and 19 clear of Leicester. That is an insurance policy of at least 16 points if I am looking at this correctly (or over 5 losses in reality) and that is only if either or both City and Leicester don’t drop any more points. Pop the champagne corks gentlemen.

Leicester appear on the slide of late. Not much going wrong for Liverpool when they keep winning and one of their main rivals slip up. This is starting to look like the Scottish Premier League (well the old Scottish Division one) used to look. The only difference is there were two rivals there. This is a cakewalk with daylight second. The final table could be savagely embarrassing for the other 19 clubs.

Nice response Sean and both you and Nil take care of yourselves and try and enjoy the next 5 months as it all unfolds in the English Premier League. Don’t forget that there is also a Champions League crown to defend and there is a good chance of a repeat there too. You have a fabulous squad of players and Manager that are more than capable of dominating everything. Another visit to Turkey with which you lads would be very familiar thinking back to 2005 may also be on the horizon π

What about the Hammers’ gift of a goal to Sheffield United to wrap up three more points. One of the worst of the season so far.

I think it is easier being totally positive about the league title being wrapped up and all that when looking in from the outside as an opposition supporter but I can understand anxiety being around from within considering the length of the wait for that first elusive Premier League title. Sean wasn’t showing any emotions there however, simply reflecting on the danger Jose can pose tactically. For mine it is done and dusted but that doesn’t mean there might not be the odd hiccup on the way and Jose more than most, can come up with something. Band together boys.

what a defensive cock up for Leicester’s equaliser. They should go on and win this first leg now however Villa will go into the second leg still a chance to proceed which I doubted would be the case before kick off.

The commentator in the United City game said away goals did not count and if it was all square at the end of the second game on aggregate then it goes to penalties. Maybe he was wrong then.
