Yes, United appear our main challengers and their upcoming run of matches is Everton (a), Man City (h), Spurs (a), Sheffield Utd (h) before Brighton (a). They’d do well to still be in contact after that lot. Having said that, at the same time Chelsea have Bournemouth (a), Everton (h), Villa (a), Man City (h), West Ham (a) and there’s plenty of problems lurking with that run albeit easier than Uniteds run and considering how fragile we are now. It will be interesting.

What has happened with Tomori? Can’t remember his last game.

Yes, the away leg I will not bother with. I’ll check the result and watch a replay providing it’s not a demolition. Maybe Bayern will go easy on us. One good thing is that none of these results will ever be a get square for 19 May 2012 π
Only losing a Champions League final to Bayern Munich will do that and even then we would be even with them. Currently we are the winners in that respect.

when looking at the money we paid for Morata of 70 million pounds, in comparison is 100 million for Sancho so disproportionate?

So where does this all end? City are about to play a Carabao Cup Final against Villa. Did they get there fairly? Should United not take their place? A sour taste on that one when they no doubt win it.
They are about to play Real Madrid in the knock out stages of the CL. Were the other three group teams on the same equal playing field as City and would the third placed team feel cheated?
The grounds for complaint appear endless.
Simply cooking the books enabled greater investment on an already powerful squad than entitled to.
Wow.

hmmmm pretty serious stuff if true and, yes, 5th spot gets into the CL based on the article. Some damning email evidence held from what this says.

Difficult to motivate the supporters yet Jurgen seems to have no such difficulty with the players, well not yet anyway. There is this long drawn out 12 week gap before you can properly celebrate when that trophy is finally raised with Chelsea’s visit to Anfield in May. Fully understand it.

Doubt Pep would want to leave City with the challenge of trying to win back supremacy from Liverpool next season. Are there reports from reputable people that he may be considering going?

Past four Wolves players and in the back of the net! ?
This Tino Anjorin goal, plus six others from last night's FA Youth Cup win can be seen on the Chelsea app! ? pic.twitter.com/tAG1XR7qpi

I am sure Sheffield United would be delighted with 5th or 6th let alone 4th (which hadn’t even crossed my mind to be honest)and their current form warrants some success. Their advantage with sneaking in there for 5th or 6th is that they have no other real distractions whereas the others do with European two legged ties coming up. Not convinced either that the contenders for spots will go on any real winning runs (us included) so, as far as Sheffield United go, well fairy tales can happen.

Would like to give the thumbs up to Sheffield United for their amazing season. Rarely spoken about either in the papers or on here but doing a mighty fine job. Who knows, they may even hang in there and get a Europa League spot if they can keep it going.

winning the title and back to back Champions Leagues MUST be a reasonable goal especially with such a massive lead in the Premier League and therefore the opportunity to rest key players the weekend before each and every Champions League tie.
I get it that the supporters want to set all sorts of records and also blow away Arsenal’s feat of 15 years back but does the club itself have the same views?
Resting key players before every Champions League match is a luxury very few clubs have had previously and I would think one that should not be wasted. It will be interesting moving forward to see what Klopp does.
The FA Cup tie with Chelsea is a toss up as success there against Chelsea would mean congestion later on and that may not be is the club’s beat interests. I think he will risk that one and try getting through on a mixture of experience and youth and that may be enough.
However it all unfolds I wish your club and the supporters all the best.

that’d be awesome 442 if we could play 12 v 11 π
I’d probably start with Willian and have Pulisic on the bench assuming he would not be fit to start the match at this point in time.

This fortnight break could do wonders for the run in. As our starting eleven for our matches appears to consist of a group of about 17 odd players and some get minimal rest this might just be the refresher that they need, especially after such a busy Christmas/New Year period. Sure, that would be the case for all the clubs but I think our circumstances with so much inexperience/ not being used to paying at that level with that intensity week in, week out, may just benefit more so than those clubs with the pros that have done it all, year in, year out.

Pity you lads arn’t playing this weekend and City their match the following. Would like to have seen a lead of 25 points just for the landmark value of a quarter of a century.

Great result for you lads. Not one senior in the side as Klopp promised and still got the win. Were they the same lads that played Villa in the Carabao Cup? Haven’t seen the match last night but assume Shrewsbury would have provided a stern test so well done.
Fully expect both Chelsea and Liverpool to field strong teams in the next round of the Cup though. I think the youth policy will need to be shelved for that one.

Chelsea supporters on social media turning into a lynch mob for the board again.
Are we privy to what attempts the board made to sign players and what the responses were? Frank seemed pretty relaxed and jovial in his βend of transfer deadlineβ press conference. Maybe it is just the supporter base that is edgy. Win the next three against Leicester, United and Spurs β all huge regarding our top 4 prospects, make top 4 and not purchasing will have been the best decision ever made. Pulisic and Loftus-Cheek coming back in, Abraham fit and Reece James on fire. Letβs take a few steps back, relax and see what eventuates.
Most of the business in January is the relegation threatened teams trying to buy their way out of trouble. What BIG names jumped ship this window?

4 hours to kick off and will be tough but for some reason I have got a good feeling about this match because after no activity in the window these players are going to rally for Frank and repay his belief in them. On top of that I think Vardy is out and Leicester are on a bit of a downer coming off the back of a midweek Carabao loss to Villa whilst our lads have been rested. Not often Frank has had a whole week to focus on one match. Hope I am right. 1-0 to us.
