OK thanks Pagan. Surprised they would not all follow suit considering the health issues at hand. I don’t think it will be long b4 they stop too. All it would take is one player coming down with it. Over here they played the full first round of the Rugby League in front of supporters however have already decided that moving forward the matches from Round 2 onward would be behind closed doors. I reckon, again, that will change once the first League player gets a positive test. Our A League football (soccer) is also unaffected with crowds attending at this time yet they have already canned our annual Royal Easter Show (which attracts huge crowds) and many other events like a Robbie Williams concert.

Genuine question here. All the big leagues throughout Europe postponed their matches yet I see lower leagues in England went ahead – the National League South went ahead in its entirety. How come?

Found this on the net. Could be useful, especially for those with kids in their lives π

Let’s see what happens come early April. Things will be much clearer then and we should find out. Clearly all these same discussions would be going on with the powers that be.

Australian Rugby League (ARL) and Australian Football League (AFL) are both set to continue uninterrupted and the following was stated.
βThe health and safety of fans, players, umpires, officials, partners and communities is the priority, so it is important that we take the advice of those that know best, and that advice right now is to continue with matches but not to host mass gatherings which can put everyone at risk.β

Unfortunate for the likes of WBA and Leeds if the season is wiped regarding their promotion aspirations. They may well just start next season as if it was the start of this season. Same teams in each league they currently belong to. The same would happen for the Champions and Europa Leagues. At least though, play Liverpool’s next few games behind closed doors until they have satisfied the mathematics of being a Champion. If first and second were still in a battle like last season then no BUT not giving Liverpool the number 19 considering the dominance would simply be criminal. Surely it would only be United and Everton and the core of their supporters that would begrudge that.

Worst comes to the worst they should allow Liverpool to play their remaining games behind closed doors as is now necessary, well at least until the mathematics call them champions then close up shop. Well that’s my opinion anyway. Let’s at least make that official. It would be criminal if it wasn’t.

and Chelsea in quarantine too and Everton’s last opponents. That means anybody at the Bridge that night may have it or anybody they came across on transport home. It travels fast.

Bayern v Chelsea is going ahead without supporters apparently.
No doubt, this is the right decision at this point. If you think otherwise, you should consider this:https://t.co/GGQZO8WtCS

Just checked the League table and Chelsea is 37 points behind Liverpool with a game in hand. That is insane.

The results continue to play into our hands with both Wolves and Spurs dropping points. Sheffield United keep sniffing around however a win against Everton will keep them at arms length also. I hope City beat United and we deal with Everton then all good for the time being. We do have City coming up ourselves shortly so the gap needs maintaining/increasing at this stage and this is the perfect opportunity.

Pedro again showing why he is now a waste of space. Clean through on goal and fluffs his lines.

No saving that. Best I’ve seen Rossco hit the football since he came to Chelsea.

Billy Gilmour immense, Giroud and Pedro the opposite. Kepa a massive triple save which is good for his and our confidence.
Immediately Liverpool out 2nd half with more purpose. Look out.

Sean, I’m thinking this loss removes the pressure of the undefeated vision which I believe was weighing on the club with the hope/expectation of its fanbase. With that now gone and the Premier League in the bag the timing is right now for them to focus fully on winning back to back CLs and leave the FA Cup to us π

Found this stats page. Some interesting info and that 15 minute period after half time is not our worst either. I guess the Bayern debacle after half time and then this come to mind more so as they are the most recent.

Yes Pagan, I have seen it all as have you by the sounds. It still doesn’t make it any easier trying to understand what goes wrong in that 15 minute break that causes them to go to sleep thereafter until the match has been turned on its head. Way too predictable.

Week in week out this side are useless from minute 46 to 60 and so it has been proven yet again. 4am here and Iβve had a gutful, not of beer, of them. Goodnight.
