Goals are to finish top 4 and win the FA Cup. First priority top 4. The cup may be a step too far with the big guns still in there however with Cup football anything is possible.
Hopefully the broadcast will include artificial/recorded crowd noise. Amazing the difference that makes. Watched the Rugby League here with and without it and it makes a huge difference. They use a mixer to use appropriate crowd reaction depending on what is happening on the field. It works well. We even have cardboard cut outs of supporters in the first dozen odd rows and that gives the impression that there are fans present too which psychologically adds to the experience believe it or not.
Bring it on.

What the protesters in America should have done from the very start is make A POINT OF SOLIDARITY and have a chain of people walk line after line black, white, black, white, black, white linking arms. Also have some protesters black and white carry the slogans Black Lives Matter, All Lives Matter. That would have really hit home. Anyone not willing to do that clearly should not be there. That would be a VERY powerful statement for mine to the people and the Governments of the world.

If 30,000 or 40,000 people of their own choice and, I assume with the Government’s blessing get together to protest a cause of major significance (were any of them fined for breaking any social distancing laws?I’d say no) then the Government may as well let 40,000 people fill Stamford Bridge in a few weeks time for a football match. These protests are not a one off, there will be more and more of them. America has had about 12 days of rolling protests in about as many major cities. I was as shocked and saddened as anyone having seen that video of the death of George Floyd and fully understand the reaction. 12 days of rolling protests at this time with Corona Virus rampant. Is that justified? In Sydney we have had 2 protests so far and a third planned. Months of lock downs, a totally screwed economy all to reduce the risk of death from Corona Virus ( which we have done well with only 102 to date) Why did we bother? We may as well have done a Sweden.

I’ve grasped everything very well and totally agree with the protests but not now. The most ludicrous timing of it. Racism has been around for hundreds of years and these protests could have been done last year, the years before that, whenever. Tens of thousands getting out there right now shoulder to shoulder is insane. I haven’t seen my old man for two months as he is in lockup in a nursing home to protect him from the disease. Approx 17 out of 35 died in another nursing home where the disease infiltrated. They are just starting to lighten up with all sorts of restrictions and this happens. My old man is 87 with dementia. The lockdown rule is that there cannot be a new case of corona virus within 20 kms of where he is living. 30 odd thousand people in the city within 20 kms of where he is protesting shoulder to shoulder puts it all at risk. Who knows, I may never get to see him again. He could pass away any old time. I have my reasons and am disappointed at the idea of even an inkling of a suggestion that I have no sympathy for racially abused people. Far from it. If howevger there is a second wave and multiple deaths as a result of these protests then those people should be responsible.

It doesn’t stop 10s of thousands of people gping out en masse protesting shoulder to shoulder.
Not the right time and if there is a 2nd wave rolling in over the next fortnight then they are all responsible. Manslaughter anyone?

and Trump’s latest insensitive comment when he remarked on a “great day” for George Floyd, during a news conference about employment data.
Speaking at the White House, Mr Trump hailed new statistics from the Labor Department which showed employers added 2.5 million workers to their payrolls last month.
“This is a great day for equality,” the president said. “Hopefully George is looking down and saying this is a great thing that’s happening for our country.”
It comes after days of protests around the country, sparked by Mr Floyd’s death in police custody.
The guy is totally unhinged, a lunatic. Surely on November 3 the country will get it right. No way can the clown get another 4 years.

Looking at Parliament Square London and there are a mass of thousands and thousands of protesters shoulder to shoulder. Same happened here in Australia today. So much for everyone looking out for each other regarding Covid-19. I 100% believe in the protest subject matter but cannot come to terms with the stupidity of the people totally disregarding social distancing. I wonder if they will feel so courageous when in Intensive Care of a hospital attached to a ventilator.

Just had protests in three cities in Australia ranging from 10,000 to 30,000 people with no real social distancing possible. Most wore masks however. Our new cases have been a handful a day so hopefully these protest marches have not set off new outbreaks. It was all about Black Lives Count plus the death of Aboriginals in Custody. Great cause but shocking timing right now. I’ll be pissed right off if there is a large outbreak causing us to go back into any form of lockdown.

999 – Interestingly Werner is at his best wide left and coming inside so thereβs room for both Tammy and Werner in the team β Timo and Tammyβ has a nice ring to it. ?
Yes also an interesting signing with CHO in a touch of strife. Could tell us something about his future at the club. Is there any up to date news there?

Stunned by that very sad news. He was a funny guy too. I remember him well and I did a little research to recover some information. Here it is with my post I just added on on TT in his honour, as follows:
Very sad. RIP MacGuffin. Always found him entertaining to be honest. A great poster for a long long time.
I spent a bit of time back tracking and found what appears to be his last post, on the Sheffield United thread 25/11/2019 β simply he quoted β1-1β
The prior one I found on the Partizan at Home Brighton at Home thread, a classic post as follows:
βOur home record isnβt that bad is it? Surely we have to win today??? β¦β¦ I just love the desperation in poor happyβs voice. Pleeeeze somebody, anybody, tell me itβs going to be ok today.
There, there happy, my little treasure. Mommy macguffin promises weβll collect 3 points today. Now finish your milk and Wayne Rooney annual, Iβll be back in a few minutes to turn the lights out.
A N D no playing with Mr Winkle, we donβt want your blindness to come back do we.
===============
Later that night β¦β¦β¦. an eerie voice can be heard in happyβs room.
Iβm the boogieman and here to tell you its all going to go tits up, ending in yet another embarassing home defeat. AND tommorow all the kids at school are going to laugh at you.
PS β Iβm optimistic and going for a 3-1 winβ
You will always be missed MacGuffin. Rest in Peace lad.

Bring lingerie and she still turns up threeps. What do you think was crossing her mind? I, like 999 do not condone rape but, well, why did she go in the first place? A chance to frame a wealthy person is a possibility. That has happened before. The mind boggles. I think an apology to a well respected and honourable person should be forthcoming. I certainly did not read his post as you did, even removing the additional sentence.

In my opinion, with the current new daily infections still up around 2,500 and around 500 daily deaths the Government should be ruling a line through it recommencing. Those figures are way too high. The article above says that there are already infections within.
Its highly likely none of the players would succumb to the disease unless they have underlying health problems BUT they have families and within those families, Grand Parents that are highly vulnerable. I can understand their concerns.
I think that the overriding factor is that bringing back live sport would help solve the risk of mental health issues with the general public and the governments are willing to risk it with all sorts of precautions SUPPOSEDLY in place.
The players and the staff are the pawns.

Above article translated from Spanish as follows:
The Premier League continues to advance its desire to restart the competition as soon as possible, and just as the championships that preceded the English have done, the first tests have begun to determine the extent of the epidemic in its protagonists.
Of the 748 made to players and staff of the 20 clubs, only six have been positive that are distributed among three squads, although which have not been revealed. Those positives will now be isolated for at least a week (until further testing) from the rest.

442, well restrained. Even if Kane was a Chelsea player the opinion would be the same.

Keep them dacks on 442 π with you all the way. Players should boycott in my opinion. The current situation with the virus does not in any way justify the risk. The Prime Minister was close to death at one stage ffs.

so Chucky you can’t even go out for a walk here and there, exercise? Take the youngun out for a ride on his bike. That is total lockdown. wow. Never got to that stage here in Australia fortunately. I still go for my daily 2 or 3 hour walk and can do it with at least one other person. We can also go surfing or swimming in the ocean but strangely not swimming in the council pools. Other than that we can go essential shopping. I pity you guys if it is that strict.
