Frank and the players have excelled this season. An amazing effort. Integrate the likes of Werner, Ziyech and possibly Havertz a few astute defensive purchases and a new keeper and there should be super exciting times ahead. I was surprised by Wolves’s low key performance considering they had a Europa League place hinging on it. We may well gift them that anyway by winning the FA Cup Final v Arsenal. I’ve seen them blow sides off the park this season offensively yet our ‘dodgy’ defence stood up to the task pretty well and they were strangely lacklustre. I guess our pre-season starts early August after we bow out to Bayern which gives the lads a four to five week break. I wonder if there will be any pre-season matches to enable the new lads to fit in and do their stuff.

Were they going mental on the streets of Barnsley? What an amazing finish to their season at poor old Brentford’s expense. At least Brentford can still go up via the play-offs I guess.

Wolves nothing to play for? They are currently 6th a point in front of Tottenham. If 7th also gets a Europa League gig then you would be right. Having said that though Wolves are a damn good side and I’m sure they would like to finish at least 6th. Extra money for the club too.

I remember Chelsea waiting 50 odd years for their second ever title (1st Premier League) of which I had been a supporter of well over 30 of them. When we finally did it the emotions were right up there, something I had never experienced. Enjoy the moment nil. The challenge now is to double up. BTW that Trent Alexander-Arnold takes one hell of a good free kick and I’ve seen a few of them now. Nice win v Chelsea overnight. Hope you enjoyed it 🙂

So we have to get a point out of Wolves OR United beat Leicester. Wolves need to win to guarantee 6th and Europe so they are going to be a very dangerous animal (ha ha) Intriguing match coming up and I am not overly confident however would hope that United with the unknown situation at same time kick offs will go out there to win and guarantee their place and not take any risks. Leicester away is never easy.

An on night for the defence which is 95% of the time shaky at best. I thought David Luiz was finished at the highest level however tonight suggested otherwise. If only Chelsea could defend as well as that against United in the 2nd Semi I’d be ecstatic and we could even find a way of knicking a goal or two and a victory.

Note that United play us in the FA Cup semi on Sunday and we can kick the crap out of them then they have another match Wednesday against West Ham which may be safe and relaxed after beating Watford later today. United may be knackered and Antonio might be licking his chops at the thought of another hatrick, this time at Old Trafford. What a place to get one. Well you never know 🙂

Spot on nil. Not very often Chelsea fans cheer on Tottenham but we all are this time around and they owe us nothing, especially since we (Hazard from memory) crashed their potential party at the Bridge a few years back.

yes 999 agree, if not then a contrived result on the final day if a draw suits both United and Leicester is not out of the question and there is nowt the FA could do about it. Surely not !!!!

Unfortunate thing is we MUST get at least a point from Liverpool because if United and Leicester win their next league matches all they will need on the last day is a draw each and they are playing each other. Even then we would have to beat Wolves at home which could be a tall order. Not looking so good now.

On form Sheffield United could turn over Leicester and I reckon that will give us a top four spot because Leicester have to play Manchester United on the last day and before that Spuds. We are looking OK.

United dropping two points in the 96th minute v Southampton. Is this a replay of last season when every team around us vying for the top four positions crumbled. Appears that way.

That sucked and on the back of the West Ham loss, we are not in a good place. How did we beat Manchester City? Strange old game football.

I’m hoping for a much better performance than Sheffield United yesterday. That defence will end up being exploited like a bunch of turnstiles being worked overtime at Allianz Arena. Totally scary thought. Another behind the sofa viewing. Actually no, I will check the final score and decide whether to watch a replay and I’ve never done that with intention before, only due to being otherwise occupied.

They are talking mid September.so there is room for a break there, especially for those either not in Europe or about to be eliminated (such as Chelsea).

Liverpool were away from home (albeit on neutral territory in Istanbul) against a quality side in AC Milan and reversed 0-3 in 45 plus minutes so maybe we can do same in 90 plus minutes. I doubt Bayern will take us lightly though and suffer from complacency or select a lesser team. They will be hell bent on easing some of the pain of 19 May 2012.
