It is 12 months since the passing of our great footie mate Paul. His memory will never ever be forgotten. RIP 999.

Romelu Lukaku. Wasted near on 100 million on him and he basically gave the club and its supporters the bird.
Great to see you back around the site Lucky Destiny. This is my first post back for months, either here or the other site. There was a bit of a scene on there back in FebruaryMarch, worse than those on the other teams pages. There and then, in respect of Paul and how , as the moderator, he was so good at ensuring law and order, I vowed it was my last post. Have not been back there since.
Great to see you are still enjoying posting here Nil. Hope you are well buddy 🙂
Sadly guys we are within 3 weeks of the anniversary of Paul’s (999’s) passing. His loss is immeasurable. A top fella and never forgotten. RIP Paul.

Threw it away. Had them on toast. The Kepa or Sanchez debate rages on and that , yet another crazy error, certainly cannot make it a clear cut decision in favour of the better shot stopper we currently have. Maybe the American deserves to be looked at. Who knows. Whatever, it is crystal clear now the positive impact Poch has made with these lads and the future can only be bright with plenty of points gathered this season. The task ahead now looks exciting more than daunting with matches against the likes of City, Newcastle and United in the not too distant future. I’m liking the performances of Gallagher more and more. We are surely not selling that lad in January. If they sold him I reckon Poch would throw his hands up in the air and walk out Silva looked the rock as usual and loved hearing the supporters singing away his name. Awesome!

Interestingly though Nil we have multiple choices across the park that can be selected to do a job and for some reason playing some out of position has had more of a positive effect of late. Colwill and Cucurella prime examples and leaving Chilwell out also coincides with a change in Dynamics and a few goals and points. Poch deserves plenty of credit I reckon.

Well said CM. Nines was a good man. These forums as with the football club were a big part of his life and he was so dedicated. He is sorely missed for sure. I just hope now that friends such as Lucky Destiny are OK as he hasn’t posted now for about a month. With three wins on the bounce the Chelsea lads have something at last to be smiling about.

I see you have not posted since September 5 Lucky Destiny. I sincerely hope all is well mate. Guessing you may just be away on leave/having a short break or, like me, losing interest a bit since our sad loss of Nines. Neither site is the same without him. A massive loss both as a wonderful poster and lovely human being. Yes, I did exchange emails with him personally for a while there for which I will always be thankful.
STERLING Sterling. Impressive. Great win Chelsea. The good thing about the hard run ahead is we have a full week to prepare specifically for the upcoming game while our opponents are otherwise involved in high pressure European matches needing to ensure their progression beyond the Group stage. That and our lift in overall performance, increase in goal scoring ability plus the return of a few key players suggest we might actually do OK in this period and salvage some points. Things appear a lot brighter than they were only a few weeks back.

This is where Chelsea’s supporters may need to take an anger management course and get on the valiums and its owners duck for cover. I’m predicting a belting against Brighton at home. Could be 3 or 4 nil. I hope I’m wrong.

Hi there Sean, all good mate but a combination of what is going on at Chelsea AGAIN plus the loss of good mate nines has rattled me a bit so keeping a lowish profile. The injuries are a huge part of it and I just don’t understand for a few seasons now it has been the common theme. Always seems to be key players just when something appears like it might blossom with the side. Yes mate just rattled right now. Latest is Joao Felix having fun at Barcelona with 2 goals and an assist and looking TOP class. We had him, albeit on loan but had the option to extend or even buy. What do they do? Let him go and he was one of a few that actually looked promising last season then spend a billion all up on mostly inferior/unproven players. Maybe United have even greater problems as they have a core of experience that have been there for a good period of time now yet they are still spineless. That is one thing that keeps me going I guess 🙂 Hope you are well bud. Liverpool looking OK now even though you have lost some good ones Klopp has got in talent and making it all happen for you. Good luck this season. Re nines, yes mate it is not the same any more. He was the majority reason together with Lucky Destiny why I spent so much time on here.

Joao Felix 2 goals and an assist in the Champions League for Barcelona. Another cock up by the owners not retaining that guy. He at least showed something for us in those dire last months of last season. They just didn’t want to know about him at the end of the season for whatever reason. He’d be handy to have around now.

If the rumours are true and its Reece James to City, well that would do it for me. It happens I’m on my way. 56 years on and I’d dump this club whilst these owners remain in place. At my age that would be the end.

I am in tears as I type this. So very sad. I have copied and pasted what you have sent us here on to Teamtalk on your behalf. Your dad was a very fine man having befriended him on here and even exchanged emails with him on a personal note. You and your family take care, be very very proud and give him the send off he just deserves with love from all his mates both on Footy Debate and also Team Talk. Rest in peace Paul. I’ll never forget you buddy.

Nice words Lucky. Every couple of days I reach out to Paul through a little prayer. Ed has tried to make contact however appears to have had no reply. Very sad.

Yes, likely another 0-0 mate and I guess the problem with Chelsea first up is you’ll have no idea what to expect, probably won’t recognise most of the first eleven to what we had during the recent disaster of a season. Hopefully Poch can have a football team run out there and not a bunch of individuals, ready to go from day one.

11th June 2023 at 7:31 am in reply to: Champions League Final 2023 ⚽️ Man City V Inter Milan 🏆10-06-8pm #207394They’ve whipped that Italian advert off the screen nice and quick regarding how good they were with the three Italian clubs making each of the European finals. End result, no trophies. Embarrassed much? 🙂

11th June 2023 at 7:06 am in reply to: Champions League Final 2023 ⚽️ Man City V Inter Milan 🏆10-06-8pm #207392City won as expected but not as convincingly as I thought they would. Lukaku proved to me it is not just a Chelsea thing with him and uselessness. Too big and cumbersome, a statue up front stuffed two nailed on chances and then, to be fair, unfortunately in the wrong place to block a goal bound header. Yes, City probably fortunate to get the 1-0 result in normal time but geez they deserve the trophy. Great team. Congratulations all you City supporters especially you Brian wherever you may be.
