999, hope you’re right about United vs. Sevilla. And good luck with Barcelona. I think you’ll need it, but I hope you’ll get through.

Sevilla haven’t been too smoothly running this season in Spain, but they usually perform well in cup competitions. United are favourites, but it could be a tricky one.

Spurs surely are favourites now. Even if I wouldn’t put it past Juventus to just sit back and win 1-0

15th February 2018 at 7:11 am in reply to: Champions League: "It's a Knockout" Stage (Goonies need not apply) #15663Aurier isn’t French. He’s from Ivory Coast. His beard seems to be less than intelligent. Otherwise it would give more thought to its’ appearance.

Congratulations to Liverpool and the Liverpool folks here. What a performance. I saw the game at a bar last night. Surprisingly many LFC fans in Denmark! Even if didn’t go ballistic like those guys, I have to admit Liverpool were great. Freeflowing and in complete control.
And how cool was Salah with his goal to make it 2-0? His vision, technique, calmness under pressure and finishing is something special. Liverpool should rebuild their stadium in the shape of a pyramid to make him feel extra at home to keep him before Real or Barcelona come knocking. What a player! And what a performance!_____________________________

I feel both a bit sad (and pretty spoiled) to admit that today I consider top four if not a succes then at least acceptable. I wonder if SAF fancy a comeback?

On one hand giving AC the boot seems a wee bit harsh, but on the other hand Chelsea changing manager like normal people change underwear haven’t stopped them winning. Mourinho (two periods), Di Matteo, Hiddink, Chelsea legend Benitez and Ancelotti all won titles even if none of them stayed that long. If they kick out AC I’m sure history will repeat itself. It often does.

If Chelsea win their game in hand they’ll be on 53 points and then only four points will seperate second from fifth spot. City unfortunately is long gone, but the other top spots are up for grabs. So a good season right now for both Manchester United, Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea would be to get into the top four. It’s that close.

Tottenham Hotspur is an anagram for “opt the ho tantrums”. Is that a coincidence? I think not. They MUST be the mothers of all cheaters!

1) It shouldn’t be an insult to be called a “social worker”. Most social workers are fine. And the same can be said of tits.
2) We’re not going to completely agree on that penalty. A great game for the neutrals though. And in the end it’s just a game and this is just a forum. If you get that worked up about it, maybe it’s time to think things through on different kind of level.
3) Nil: Don’t drink. Alcohol isn’t helping you at all. Drugs, on the other hand… who knows? 😉

It’s a tough call. There was definitly contact and it was in the penalty area, so no doubt it could be given. That being said football is a physical game, and they bloody touch each other all the time in the penalty area. I think it was obvious that VVD saw Lamela, tried to hold back to avoid kicking him, he touched him, and Lamela made the most of it.
But a draw suits me just fine!

I don’t take pleasure in the decline Arsenal and Arsene Wenger is going through. It should be said that even in decline they’ve managed to win the FA Cup, which most clubs would consider quite succesful.
Le Arse have fallen back in comparison to the other big boys in the league. While I don’t take any particular joy in their failings in the PL, I don’t pity Wenger or Arsenal at all. Why should I? They all make shedloads of money doing what they do. And Wenger IS responsible for all players at Arsenal today. Many of them pretty much deadwood. And their lack of a plan b is also down to Wenger. And honestly, if you complain about opposition having a physical approach to the game and throw ins being a part of the game, then quite frankly you do deserve a bit of stick. If I supported Arsenal, I think I’d be happy to see a new guy in charge.

To me it looks like Van Dijk tries to hold back. Lamela threw himself and made it look worse than it was.

For years Wenger has been mostly suited as an ambassador or something like that for either the French National Knitting Team or The French Brie Society. He has taken Arsenal back so far that it’s not even funny anymore. I doubt Henrikh Mikhtaryan (spelling?!?!??) and Aubameyang will change anything while Wenger is in charge. For years good players either leave Arsenal or become mediocre.
