I saw some pundit call rice world class. Hes not.
Gave England even got one world class player?
Has bellingham done enough to be world class?

Also ed, thought a bit more about your points about it been a poor season. If you are not a Liverpool supporter it has been.
The 3 promoted sides have been an absolute disgrace. Ipswich spent 100m. Leicester sack a seasoned coach and bring in rvn who has been so disappointing. Southampton nothing to say there
The pl has a whole has tactically and technically moved on from 20 years ago but the calibre of player has seriously regressed. Liverpool will win it as the best team. Rodri has seriously damaged city but its bigger then that for them. Aresnal were 9 points behind before their injuries. Their negative tactics has been their downfall
Utd, chelsea and spurs have been an absolute embarrassment. Like really pathetic. Money spent and just so poor.
Next season vvd, salah, kdb could be gone
20 years ago we had gerrard, giggs, scholes, keane, rio, terry, drigba, lampard, bergkamp, henry, campbell and so many more. Now whose left?
You could name 20 world class players in the pl 20 years ago no problem.now you would struggle to name ten

One thing ill say is winning the league alone is absolutely dream world. Bad week were people have questioned us which is fair enough but absolutely no one predicted this team to win the league.
Most including myself y we would hugely fall behind. Some even questioned if we would get top 4. Its would take the biggest bottle job to lose it from w. We need to y. If we win this, it be up there as our greatest achievements in 35 years. The city fans will absolutely erupt but we just need to get it over the line.

10th March 2025 at 11:43 am in reply to: Gameweek 28 – Weekend Football – All Plain Sailing? #218836Ed, to be honest we hear that every year about teams will be better the next season. I agree about city. Absolutely massive surprise . Will they spend another 200m in tye summer as kdb, gundigan, silva , edersin all seen to be done there.
Spurs, utd, chelsea are just terrible. Cant see any of them pushing on anytime soon
Arsenal should have been better this season but they fecked it up in the summer. Manager is to negative. Hes spent 750m but the only solution we keep hearing is to buy a striker. Will he get the striker? He paid 65m for havertz and played him ad a 9. Can he be trusted with more money. City might get better but arsenal? Not so sure mate
Arsenal downfall is areta this season.

Disagree with that ed.City going backwards is a huge surprise . One player has disrupted them along with aging playerβs. Their fix is to spend 200 m in jan
Bournemouth, villa, fulham, newcastle, brighton , palace , forest will give absolutely anyone a game. Much better then then the mid e clubs of ten years ago
Chelsea have spent a billion. Utd and city loads of money. Poorly run clubs making terrible decisions constantly
Everyone including myself thought slot would regress this team. He was totally written off and has done a remarkable job. The funniest comments are now he has inherited a good squad??? Amiron left sporting in unbelievable shape yet his successor was sacked 3 months later after
Slot has made subtle changes. He hasnt signed one big player. Now all your hear constantly is arsenal injuries and no centre forward. They spend 70 m on a left back and midfielder. Timber, zvchenko, tireny, kwior can all play left back. They sold niketh for 30m and never replaced them. Arsenals mistakes were made last summer. Not this jan. areta changed the style to a more pragmatic approach. Full concentration on corners and free kicks. Its maddness. Saka massive loss. What had martinelli done in years? Average player. Huge wages for sterling yet dont play him. Arsenal tv the most hilarious show going. Excuse after exude after excuse. Liverpool were 9 piints ahead of arsenal before anyone got injures and thats without alisson for two months.
This time last year liverpool beat forest with a midfield of joe gonez, bobby clark and macallaister. We challenged up to the 6th last game and won a cup when we were missing trent, alisson, salah, konate, robertson, jota, thiago and many more for huge chunks
Just excuses every where. Ref decisions, luck etc. look at your managers style of play.
Liverpool have beaten the champions of spaib, france, england and germany withiut conceding a goal. We have list one league game all season. We have had a bit of kuck which we have had duck all few years. Losing leagues by one point,3 huge decisions last season etc .
Ive gone off topic but my point Is im just hearing everything from poor league, injuries, var etc when Liverpool have been tye best team by a country mile and slot has surprised everyone. Unbelievable job.

On arsenal, never mind tye injuries. They had a summer to buy a striker. They invested money in other places. Look at liverpool team who finished carling cup final last season. 13 injuries, we still fought up until the last 5 games for the pl
If anything i think areta changed the style. Its much more pragmatic and its sll about set plays. Very good team, certainly missing players but they have more points since saka was out. Fans dont deem to rate havertz or marintelki. Use your money wisely. They buy a left back for 45m when they already have 3 left backs
Money has been spent but not wisely

Its been a bizarre season. Funny now how people are trying to change the narrative about slot. I certainly wrote him off. Loads of people saying now all of a sudden hes lucky as he inherited a good squad. Many managers have walked into good squads and royally fucked it. Its was a huge difficult job to walk into and replace a man that changed the club and city. Anirin left sporting in great condition but wasnt his replacement sacked alreasy?
One signing. One defeat. Hes gone well beyond my expectations and im delighted to be proved wrong. Nothing done yet but hrs on the cup of legendary status.people can try play down the state pf the league etc but the do called mid tabke teams like fulham, brighton, Bournemouth , villa etc are stronger then ever. Liverpool fans are in dream world and we just need to get over the line.

Wr losr ir draw tonight thats a 6/7 points gap with us still having to go villa and city while arsenal play Leicester and west ham.
