The barcodes were boring and tried to stifle the game but left with what they deserved……….nothing.

Good workmanlike performance, didn’t play that well but ultimately I’m happy with 3 points and a clean sheet, we do look so much more assured with VVD at the back and good practice for all the buses that will be parked at old toilet next week!

Paxton, cheers, yes we did play very well but I was surprised at how easy Porto made it for us but you can only beat what’s in front of you, your lot were superb last night (apart from the first few minutes!) and deserved to win, hopefully we’ll both win our second legs and put the ties beyond doubt.

Nine, we’re not in the quarters yet (don’t you listen to Jurgen……..lol!) I’ll take whoever we get as the saying goes you have to be in it to win it.

Fair result I say even if how it was achieved is somewhat dubious, my missus is a Spuds fan so to say it’s been interesting for the last couple of days would be understating it, however I’m confused, because of said wife’s affinity I’ve just been watching Spuds v Newport replay with her and I clearly saw Lamela do an overhead kick in Newport’s penalty are where he caught one of the Newport defenders shoulder with his foot now how the hell was that not a penalty for Spurs?

Mak, I’ve already tried what you suggested without any joy, I get so far then it tells me there’s no streams available, I’ve downloaded the relevant software but no luck at all, bit of a pisser really as my missus was going to buy me a years subscription as part of my birthday present!

I’ll take 2-1 away win against a team that didn’t lose at home last season, we didn’t dominate (far from it) but we got the result and I’m happy with that (if not the overall performance)!

Ginger I really hope you’re right mate, if you are, it will show us that FSG really mean business and aren’t just in it for the quick buck (I don’t believe they are but maybe I’ve got rose tinted glasses). I do like Klopp’s stance on this “he’s not for sale”, given our new signings and the possible further additions if we keep Coutinho we’ll have a team of great potential and a manager who can realise that potential. I haven’t seen enough of him to have a considered opinion, he strikes me as a young player who is promising but still has a lot to learn, I certainly wouldn’t peg him as a regular starter yet but I’ve not seen that much that worries me I guess a lot would depend on who he’s playing against but I’m not writing him off just yet. Hightown, Thanks for the good wisheslet’s hope more of the TT guys cross over too, I’m sure I’m a much older fart than you, I’ve been going since the 60’s though admittedly being “down south” I don’t get there too often these days but I make you right a quiz on earlier years would be interesting though the long term memory isn’t what it was………lol. Unfortunately money talks and when it does FSG usually listen, whilst I hope he stays an offer might be made that’s too good to refuse, if that happens you have to hope that with the money paid we may be able to get a cheaper replacement but I doubt we’ll get one as good! YNWA RIP the 96
