The centre-back would reportedly be available for £50 million due to an existing release clause, making him excellent value after Van Dijk’s £75 million switch to Anfield.

The long-term fitness of Vincent Kompany continues to be a worry for Guardiola, and it could be time to bring in a fresh centre-back with technical capabilities.

Umtiti has starred for Barca since his move from Lyon, but a chance to work with a coaching icon in Manchester would be very tempting for the Frenchman.

Evening all.I think a step in the right direction would be to have three
referees on this review panel.

Maybe two retired ones Mark Halsey imo was one of the best.Dermot Gallagher
and say a current one ? Only names off the top of my head.

With all the money in the game and technology out there.It’s an
absolute disgrace that football is seriousley lagging behind Rugby.
Tennis & Cricket in getting the key decisions right.

Bus Parker has probably costed Hughes his job.

That’s one accusation I don’t think you can level at Stoke.
Since Hughes came in.For example.This season they’ve conceded 49 goals.

Rafa Benitez has been far worse in that regard.Especially against us
last week.

I’m of the opinion any manager of any team can set up how they like and as their
resources dictate.

To blame “bus parkers” simply distorts the team who couldn’t break the opposition
down.

Defending is important as the attacking side of the game.As any coach will tell you.

Pretty much bang on the money Pagan.Two of my best mates are season ticket
holders at Old Trafford (since 84) Both thought the same as Keown did yesterday,
(after the Brighton home game.Then again after Leics away)
