Both seem risky appointments to me with Stoke turning to Lambert after being turned down by OβNeill and Flores. Lambert was a great player and comes over very well on TV but hasnβt really pulled up any trees in his managerial career. Success will be keeping Stoke up.
I’m not so sure re the above pal.I remember Lambert did quite well for Colchester. On the back of that.
He got the Norwich gig.Where I think he did well (might of got them to the Premier league) till it
fizzled out.More recently Villa. You only have to look where they are now to see he had no chance.
Plus he had to sell the only decent players he had.Lastly Wolves again did they have the backers
like the club has now ?I do agree with you that both MON and Flores would of been better appointments (on paper at least)
But can you think of someone else out there (realistically) who you’d get in ? I can’t btw πOne thing I would say.Very poor by the board/chairman of Stoke sacking Hughes and not having a
replacement lined up ?_____________________________

16th January 2018 at 2:56 pm in reply to: Latest Title Odds – Is it still a foregone conclusion? #12710Hilarious seeing Sky trying to talk up a City collapse in the title race and a potential United title win summoning up Newcastle as an example
Who in particular on sky, said this Nine ?

I think City have pulled out of the deal.Because Sanchez/agent moved the goalposts
on the deal that was agreed last summer. It looks like he’s now basically
pimping himself out to the highest bidder.Arsenal expert John Cross has written the inside story of Sanchez and Arsenal this season, and it doesnβt make great reading for either party
Sanchez is a brilliant player, a world class talent, but his strops on and off the pitch have been getting worse throughout his season of discontent. And it has been borne out by results.
The Chile star was desperate to join City in August, Arsenal felt selling him without getting a replacement – they did not have time to get Monacoβs Thomas Lemar done – would send the wrong message of being a selling club and the fans would go into meltdown.
They actually ended up facing a backlash from fans accusing them of getting it wrong – and have paid a heavy price ever since.

I want United to sign Sanchez and Ozil,or that worldy from Real Madrid CR7.In fact, apart the garbage that are Assensio and Isco,I’d like any of Real`s team π

My source at Cobham tells me Sanchez told him he wants a move to Chelsea he described him as being 6ft plus tall with facial hair and a pony tail.
Lol.Brilliant Nine.I read somewhere that West Ham wanted Β£35M for him.I wouldn’t take him on a free.

Ed.I wouldn’t be surprised if Sanchez ended up staying? Now he and his agent knows
they’ll be plenty of takers in the summer. It’ll give him a lot more leverage (& ££) to decide where he moves to?

Defence
Imo.We need a left back as priority. Not at really silly money either (20-25M)
Bertrand ? (might be to much) *see below*I’d probably like Pep to trust Tosin. We gave him a new four year contract last
summer.Or maybe go for Inigo Martinez at Real Socieadad. He can play *both left
back and centre back*.Possibly review the situation in the summer ?
Replacement/back up for Ferna
I see we’ve been linked with Fred.He was Shaktar’s best player
against us in both games.Nice midfielder Jean Seri is also an option ?As for a striker.I’d possibly try to get someone on loan till the
end of the season.Maybe swap Patrick Roberts for Dembele at Celtic?
Given we’re overloaded with right wingers.Poss Hernandez at West Ham?Or go after a decent striker in the summer.I rate Ciro Immobile at Lazio
(but he’s nearly 28 in Feb) Harry Kane. But that’s not going to happen πI’m sure Pep will probably want someone around 20-22?

I agree lads. It’s refreshing to see managers who’ve lost the match.Come out after a game and
actually say the best team won.One of the worst who’s never does this is Sam Allardyce dreadful lack of sportsmanship.
He’s always got something or someone to blame for the defeat.A few other candidates? But let’s not go there π

Paul-Even 2nd place is up for grabs mate.
Mav or should I say Alex the red(whatever happened to him btw ?)
All four places are up for grabs imo.Till it’s mathematically
impossible to get the required points needed._____________________________
