Chuckles, I didn’t see the game, better things to do, but I have seen the penalty decision and although I personally think it shouldn’t have been it’s a sign of how it’s going to be, any contact of the ball and arm in the area will be handball and a penalty or free kick will be awarded.
Having said that Spurs had the rest of the game to get back into it and by all accounts didn’t set the world on fire doing so, and as such the result was deserved, so well done Liverpool.
As for footy, I’ve been in cricket mode since the middle of April, my youngest is playing county cricket at their age group again this season and add to that the club cricket both kids are playing I don’t get much spare time.

Chuckles, the thing is if Spurs lose you won’t bang on that the whole world is against you, you’ll disappear, lick your wounds and come back as the Chuckles we know and love. I probably won’t watch the game, and although it doesn’t bother me particularly who wins I would like to see Spurs win, go the underdog and all that. Enjoy the day Chuckles….Pagan

Mr. Balance, each season is different, 2018-2019 was a two horse race, which in racing terms went down to a photo finish. It’s pointless banging on about only losing 1 game, points make prizes and that’s why the 3 points for a win was brought in, to encourage teams to go for the win and not settle for a draw.
As I’ve said before, a team could go the whole season unbeaten, be the next invincibles and yet still be relegated, West Ham were relegated on 42 points.
Tonight’s match is a one off, both teams momentum has slowed since the final week of the league, tonight will all be about who wants it most, which players are in holiday mode etc.
Enjoy the night, but remember win or lose it’s only a game of football, be gracious in both victory or defeat……Pagan

Mr. Balance, we all have crap to deal with at work, I’m basically on call 24-7 every day. On top of that I have kids who do a lot of sport, just had 3 days of cricket, well spent more time today putting on and taking off the covers after being at work for 5 this morning, and then another day of county cricket tomorrow with the youngest. The trick is to remember work is there to give you the money to do what you want. The only day I get off from sport is Fridays. As for the weather, we’re not made of sugar, life isn’t about surviving the storm it’s about how you dance in the rain…..Pagan

Oz, sorry I’ve not replied sooner, yep the 2 point comment was about not being able to turn back the clock and apply old rules.

Ferrari and Datsun (showing your age there) the Datsun would win long term as the Ferrari would spend half the time in the garage.

However motorsport is a good analogy as the more money you have the faster you go, and the big teams Mercedes and Ferrari (Fiat) will get round any financial restrictions by using their core business to hide costs…..Pagan
