For a moment I thought we were back to Jose and a Frank in the shower conversation again….Pagan

Up until Chelsea scored it was end to end stuff, much like basketball, after that it became a football game which suited Man City more. In the end the result was a fair reflection of the game, most importantly from a Chelsea perspective we weren’t out classed and for a team that most thought would struggle we’ve shown we’re where we are on merit….Pagan

Mikus, it’s farcical, it’s a system that should be used to correct howlers, not rule on things it’s not accurate enough to do so.
Best comment I’ve read on it was in response to the 7 out of 10 comment, they just put “in that case as the titanic almost got to the states that was an 8 out of 10”…Pagan

Old cars are, compared to modern cars, difficult to drive, no power steering, no servo brakes and unreliable. So with that in mind blending that with today’s technology gives you best of both worlds. My own personal view on it though is as long as they’re new build and not destroying a classic car, then fine.
The price of them is somewhat prohibitive though, the price of the reworked e type is over ÂŁ800k, for that you could get a proper one and a modern supercar. If they were to do a d type version then that would be a different kettle of fish…..Pagan

Should have come back with “do you think sacking a manager gives a side a lift” that would have been an interesting answer…..Pagan

Prefer the older cars myself, and the more modern ones that give good value for money.
Really old cars I’d say an Austin Healey 3000
Would love a Lancia Stratos
Quite like the Chevette HS or HSR (had a couple of those)
More modern, the Vauxhall VXR220
But as an everyday practical car would like an Audi RS4….Pagan

First saw Chelsea in the 70s, the teacher took the whole footy team, Notts County v Chelsea, would have been 75 or 76 I would have thought……Pagan

I come from a non football family that moved to a rapidly expanding village when I was 5, I played footy and ended up training with the primary school team when my older brother played in it (2 years above me) the bloke that ran it was a Chelsea fan, so all his examples related to Chelsea players, simple as that. Had a season ticket in the early 80s as well as a season ticket for Notts County (lot of the lads I went to senior school with were County fans)
Now I don’t go to watch prem matches due to grass roots commitments in both footy and cricket, and even if I had the time I wouldn’t go to prem matches due to not being prepared to pay the money in order to pay someone hundreds of thousands of ponds a week.
Other than the grass roots footy and any free matches I can get to see via contacts (the odd game at St George’s Park and the odd league game) the only team I really watch is Millwall, due to having friends who have been lifetime Millwall fans, and to be honest they’re good days out…..Pagan

Chuckles, Jose will come in, turn the clubs results round, do really well next season, get a new deal, then it will go tits up, he’ll get the sack and a nice payout…..Pagan

We already have a moderator, if we have two then they’re not always going to have the same opinion as each other as what’s considered a breach of the rules, a bit like having VAR for posters.
Let’s face it, it’s quite civilised on here, if you need moderating, then this site is probably not the one for you….Pagan

Hudson-Odoi in the last few weeks has started on the bench, with Pulisic being preferred, why wouldn’t the press write a story like this, they love stirring the pot….Pagan

16th November 2019 at 7:43 am in reply to: City’s Appeal on the FFF charges has been rejected By CAS #53010FFP is in theory a good idea, however it’s rubbish in practice.
You can remortgage the club to get capital as long as it’s thought you can afford the repayments.
You can sell the cubs stadium to get capital and rent it back.
Both of the above could put the future of the club in jeopardy in the future
What you can’t do it seems is get given money in the form of sponsorship that the governing body deem to be over the market value.
This of course is decided by members of a corrupt organisation that who get paid more than their market value….Pagan

Mak, while I can see your point, there are other things to think about, so called lesser opposition gives the opportunity for player debuts, the smaller nations get to play the so called powerhouses, their players get to tell their kids and grandkids I played England at Wembley, but more importantly, you sometimes get the giant killing, which is brilliant….Pagan

Mak, we have to do all this diversity and inclusion stuff at work, it’s all very cleverly put together so that anyone who doesn’t just nod their head and agree with everything being said comes across as extreme right wing….Pagan

I think Southgate has handled the situation really well, he’s not tried to cover it up, he’s punished the aggressor, he’s managed any conflict, resolved the incident, kept them together out of the public and press’ grasp so no resentment builds up, and hopefully they’ll go back to their parent clubs as if nothing happened, for me that’s good management…..Pagan
