Mak, I don’t think by the laws of the game he has to wait for the goalkeeper to be ready to blow his whistle, he has to make sure the ball is correctly placed and the wall if there is one is the right distance, he should have signalled that the ball cant be kicked until he blows his whistle, but once the ball is correctly placed and no opposition player is closer than 10y then he can blow when he wants. When all said and done a free kick should benefit the wronged.

Of course there is the integrity of the game to consider, but that’s ethics not the laws of the game…..Pagan

Mak, 9, Ed, in regards to Mr. Balance, I think I waded in a bit the other night and may have made the situation worse, I can live with him wearing his heart on his sleeve, and him expressing his emotions, it’s the use of hate that bugs me. In some ways it’s quite refreshing to see someone expose their true feelings, I just think he needs to choose his words better, be less critical and more accepting of others and lay off the CAPS LOCK key….Pagan

All, I’ll start of by saying I’m sorry if my comments the other night on this thread have offended anyone.

What I will say in my defence is that I find it a bit hard to swallow that Someone can repeatedly say he hates other clubs or managers (recently includes Leicester, Chelsea, Napoli, Ancelotti) infers that Everton are low lives, then has the audacity to bemoan that anyone who doesn’t laud Liverpool as a Liverpool hater and that that opinion is wrong.

Personally I have nothing against Liverpool or their fans on here or elsewhere including Mr. Balance (except the one who works for me who constantly wants odd days off at short notice to go abroad to watch them) it’s just I don’t really like hypocrisy
