67, to be fair, no team has really had any time to prepare for the games this week, international matches followed by a league game then a CL game, doesn’t give much time for the clubs and hence some strange results/performances…………Pagan

Lucky, he’s obviously a very good coach, but then so is Jose. In Jose’s case he’s not kept up with the trends and how to negate them and then impose modern tactics yourself. In Bielsa’s case, as I’ve said he hasn’t either updated his tactics, or hasn’t the talent pool to take on subtle new things. I would probably go for the latter.

I will say though being a good coach is different to being a great tactician……..Pagan

Lucky, he obviously coached the right things in order to get promoted, and he did that very well, however the premier league is a different beast and as such needs a different approach.

So I would suggest he’s either not changed what he’s coaching, and that system isn’t as successful at prem level, or he’s got players that are slow to take on the changes he’s trying to make.

Whilst that is true, I would call that practicing, however if you continually practicing the wrong thing you just become very good at doing the wrong thing.

That’s the difference between practicing and training/coaching

9, I’m not thick, I’m well aware of the difference between the uk law and a FIFA rule, you just can’t be potentially let off Scott free by FIFA for deliberately breaking the rules to benefit the club, whilst clubs were prepared to take the loss of players for the duration of quarantine in order to work within the rules of the governing body are in effect handicapped, it’s no good having rules if you don’t enforce them……….Pagan

9, yeah I get that, but if the 5 day rule isn’t implemented then clubs who didn’t let their players travel get off totally Scott free, yet those that played by the rules are handicapped. As I’ve said and has Brian, the lawyers will be loving this………Pagan

Mak, I’m genuinely sorry if I came across rude, but the last 18 months or so have been really stressful. Only recently I’ve had someone at a cricket club tell me how hard done to they are in that they’re going to have to go back to work after being on furlough, and that because they’re on piece work they could be slightly worse off. Sorry Mak,but I’ve seen the mental health issues and fatigue issues with the lads that work for me and it’s been really difficult to manage as I’ve really had to cover to keep them in the best health I can, and to be honest footballers had a really easy ride………Pagan

Mak, they played footy after lockdown, I didn’t get a day off barring bank holidays and weekends and even then I worked most bank holidays and was on call 24/7 from March 2020, and its still going on. Boo hoo the over paid prima donnas……..Pagan
