Nil, what do you mean by, he should have had a number 2?
Second Season?
Assistant? He did have Jody Morris, who by all accounts is a very good coach
Or the obvious lavatorial reference?

The vast majority of top managers weren’t the most gifted of players, they were the ones that had to think and work hard, however the tendency in this country is the opposite to this……Pagan

That’s a good question Mikus, great leaders inspire and motivate, they get people to buy into their ideas and beliefs and then those ideas and beliefs become theirs. I would suggest that all the successful football mangers have this, the more successful they are the more of it they have. If you make a list of top teams they outnumber the number of top mangers. Britain has had a few of them, Clough, Ferguson etc, but currently I would say we’re waiting for the next one….Pagan

As I’ve said, I think it’s down to Charisma and the ability to inspire and motivate, I believe that’s something you’re born with and can’t learn it from scratch…..Pagan

Mikus, someone has to have the power, far better than being run by a committee.
Still it takes the heat off Klopp for the time being, Franks record over the last 7 to 11 games is better than his😄😄😄…..Pagan

Very harsh on Frank, unfortunately to be successful at the top you need to have the charisma and leadership skills to motivate players, this is vastly different to getting players fired up just before a game, it’s not something that’s really coachable, it’s something you just have, I would suggest that probably Frank doesn’t have it, Frank’s a thoroughly nice decent bloke but as the song goes “nice boys don’t play rock ‘n’ roll”
Good luck to Frank, hopefully he can keep within football, personally I think he’d make a really good pundit….Pagan

Thought once Liverpool pulled it back to 2-2 they’d go on to win it, fair play to Man United for being able to step it back up.
Didn’t see the game from the start, was a bit confused when I switched on, first glance I thought it was a Manchester derby re run…..Pagan

9, was there already a ball on the field of play, even you have to say yes to that
Therefore the extra ball was the one thrown on, that also you have to agree with
The only thing that is a matter of debate is if the extra ball interferes with play, I say as it ended up being the one put in the net it does, you seem to think otherwise, not quite sure how…..Pagan

Werner, well there’s a conundrum, plays well, tries hard but can’t put the ball in the net. He never looked confident once he’d put the ball on the spot, but had the confidence to want to take it. For me he just needs to score in consecutive games, so he needs to be kept playing, anything else will just dent his already fragile state of mind…..Pagan

9, VAR had the opportunity to watch the wrestling match in the Man U Chelsea game in slow mo and decided that it wasn’t a foul, that was wrong and so was today’s, it’s no good having laws if you don’t apply them.
They have decided the extra ball was the one still on the field of play, whereas the law states extra ball, object or animal enters the field of play, yes it’s pedantic but they got it wrong…..Pagan

9, they got it wrong, there was already a ball on the field of play, therefore the extra ball was the one thrown in. To be honest 9, I didn’t think it was that difficult to understand and it’s not like refs and VAR are always correct…..Pagan

To clarify the law about two balls on the pitch, the law states
“If an extra ball, other object or animal enters the field of play during the match,
the referee must stop the match only if it interferes with play.”The original ball was on the pitch, therefore the extra ball is the one being thrown on, hence it has to be interfering with play….Pagan

First goal shouldn’t have stood, the laws clearly state there can only be one ball in play, the Luton player was playing one ball back to the side line as the other was thrown in…..Pagan

HH, the team missing the crowd more than any other in my opinion is Millwall, it’s a unique atmosphere down there that the home team can thrive in, and is maybe a little intimidating for visitors both on and off the pitch.
I think in general most people like routine, this season there is none. “When Saturday comes” is a phrase that comes to mind, now it’s games everyday with no set pattern, people are concerned about the physical element of the number of games being played, I’d be more concerned of the mental fatigue/burnout…..Pagan

Managers have life cycles at teams, Jose’s is 3 to 4 seasons, Klopp’s seems to be 7, with seasons 4 and 5 being the peak. It’s a by product of their style, you can only read the same motivational speech so many times before it loses it effectiveness. Still on the bright side, it’s a nice platform for Steveie G to return to…..Pagan
