So We’ve had two red cards overturned in the last week, both these cards were given after a VAR review, it sort of defeats the object of having it in the first place. The West Ham one at the weekend was farcical, I’ve yet to meet anyone who’s had any other opinion than the player was trying to lift his arm over the defenders and accidentally caught him with his elbow, quite how the ref saw it differently is beyond me……Pagan

Nil, of course Liverpool are going to get some stick, Champions last season followed up by a not so good season, it happens to every team. The internet, social media, smart phones etc are all tools for a bit of banter, but let’s face it, it’s never happened to Liverpool before as these things weren’t round the last time you were champions😂😂😂…..Pagan

So on to tonight’s last game, think this may be a difficult watch, Tommy Tickle’s first game outside London, against a team that’s going to fight for everything….Pagan

I think nil has summed it up perfectly, though incorrectly when he says “we need to reshape our structure of our first 11” that’s fine until you have injuries, what you need is a deeper squad to be able to cope when that happens. As for Klopp he’s done exceptionally well at Liverpool, I said a couple of weeks ago Klopp had a 7 year cycle, I’m not sure where else he’ll get that time, so it may mean another few years of rebuilding if he stays….Pagan

Blaze, it’s not a specifically a keeper problem, it’s a style problem, this instance on keep trying to play out is taking over from common sense….Pagan

Peter Frampton once said “if you hit a bum note on stage, make sure you do it again, it makes it look like it wasn’t a mistake” obviously that doesn’t apply to football….Pagan

No, nothing like Moscow, still that should have been Drogba’s penalty….Pagan

To be fair most of the penalty shootouts I’ve been involved in have been at summer tournaments, the ground is usually rock hard so doesn’t cut up, hence they don’t lose their footing…..Pagan

9, I’ve always told my juniors to aim for the seam where the back of the net joins the side, gives a little bit of room for error, however I’ve also told them I’d sooner them put it slightly wide than have it saved going down the middle. On the flip side I’ve always told the keepers to make out they’re going to dive but in the end just stand still and hope one comes down the middle, haven’t lost a penalty shootout yet…..Pagan

Strange results in the WSL, first Man U lose, and then Chelsea lose their first game in 34 despite totally dominating the game, having 27 attempts to Brighton’s 3, they lose 1-2, Man City beat Arsenal 2-1 to make it game on again for the title….Pagan

Terry obviously has leadership qualities, so he just needs to get the right coaching team round him and then start low and work his way up….Pagan

What a laugh, that was the total opposite of what VAR was meant to do. I could have given VAR a tick in the box (for once) if he’d been shown a red card by the ref and then it had been rescinded when VAR reviewed it. If that doesn’t get overturned on Monday then we’re into the realms of VAR making decisions just to just it’s own existence…..Pagan

Frank did well at Derby, however the talk from Derby was always that Jody was the coach and Frank was the face, add to that that Derby’s best 3 players from his season were Mount, Tomori and Wilson, who were all on loan. The other talk was that the players all liked Frank but it was them that carried the team as the tactical leadership was lacking.
Whilst Frank was a great player and comes across as a nice bloke, he may not have the strong leadership skills and charisma needed to be a great manager. He also may need to realise that he needs to learn his trade, he didn’t just walk into the West Ham Team as 17 year old, he’d had to learn his trade else where.
I’d still like to see a club, any club to be honest, to start identifying players that may have the qualities to be good manager and try to develop them, maybe as youth team coaches first and then send them out on loan to foreign and lower league clubs to learn……Pagan
