Nil, don’t worry about it, but thanks for the apology anyway.

You see as older Chelsea fans we’ve developed a lot of resilience to being the butt of jokes, the late 70s and early 80s we had no money, a ground that was falling apart and fans that only ever looked at the bottom half of the table, well except when we were in div 2.

Lucky, it was more a concern on the way we go forward, we look a lot better on faster breaks as that suits the players we have, however we seem to prefer the slow patient build up.

For me if you’re going to play it around at the back it’s to bring the opposition on to you so it leaves space between their back line and keeper for you to exploit with a quick break, we don’t seem to do that often enough, I’m not suggesting we become a long ball team, but with Tiny Weener’s pace one over the top every so often would hurt…..Pagan

I’ve had a read of Nil’s post and sat down and reflected on my posts

The kids are now walking round the house wearing black armbands.
I’ve cut the wife’s housekeeping allowance.

Bit disappointing yesterday, lots of possession again but we didn’t create any clear cut chances.

Usually a team is either built around a style of play where players are bought in to suit, or it’s built around the strengths of the players you have. Currently in my opinion we’re doing the opposite, I’m hoping it’s Tommy Tickle having a look at the players and seeing which way to go…..Pagan

Mikus, it’s not competition that the front 3 need, one needs replacing to keep the other 2 on their toes, they never feel totally secure in their position in the club, let alone the side that way.

Still think is odd to weaken the midfield to make a make shift defence, I’d have thought a youth team player co7kd have been tried with a stronger midfield in front of him.

Saying that, Klopp must have looked at that possibility and discarded it…..Pagan

RB are going to fancy their chances with Pools form, but Pool have to rally themselves at some point and this could be it, so I think it could be a good game. Barca seem all over the place so PSG should be looking to turn them over, you never know this could be a season where a less favoured team gets their hands on the trophy…..Pagan

Tommy Tickle has only been at the club for 3 weeks, in that time he’s had 5 games, had to rest the players an prepare for the next game, he’s also had to evaluate the players close up. With that sort of schedule it’s going to be a slow change of philosophy, but let’s give him time and see where we’re headed….Pagan
