Is VAR accurate enough for the offside decisions we’ve seen all season, 9 thinks so but I don’t. As I’ve said countless times, it’s a best guess when the ball is played forward and it’s up to the VAR where he decides to draw the lines from, both are subjective and as such can be tweaked to get the result you want.

As for it’s where the feet are, the one major issue with that is if you have two players dead in line running in step, then the offensive player is onside, if they’re out of step then they’re offside 50% of the time, yet they’re still level.

VAR was sold on clear and obvious errors, not on forensic examination, get rid of the lines, use the technology to rotate the picture and then see if there’s a clear and obvious error.

Or even better, just get rid of it all together……Pagan

Nil, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone on here find a serious injury to a player amusing, what is amusing though is Liverpool fans moaning about fans from other clubs using injuries as an excuse for losing games, I mean they’ve never mentioned they’ve had any injured players this season…….Pagan

Lack of quality managers in football.

There’s a closed shop of managers that just go from top job to top job, which really limits the chances of a new kid on the block, on top of this there’s the “if you haven’t played eat the top you can’t manage at the top” attitude, and the fact that players don’t want to learn their new trade at the bottom.

Maybe clubs should loan out their ex players that they think have managerial potential to other clubs to do a sort of apprenticeship, with the parent club footing the wages. Look to get coaches in from other sports, see what they can bring to the table.

Management is not just about knowing the game, it’s about leadership and charisma…..Pagan

9, if it’s a percentage of turnover, then it’s keeping the big clubs big and the little clubs in their place, which is wrong, but if that’s the way it goes I say let them spend what they like, but whatever they spend on transfers, agents and wages has to go into grass roots football, minimum of 10% for transfers and wages, minimum of 50% for agents fees, no signing on bonus as that could be used to circumvent the agent fee……Pagan
