Paxton, I’m not wasting my time, I like NB, he’s a good lad on the whole, wears his heart on his sleeve, and sometimes his passion gets the better of him, but deep down he’s a good sort….Pagan

NB, try from 1:14, Barry is there to stop the keeper coming for the ball, no intention of playing the ball, just there to put the keeper off, providing he doesn’t move it’s ok, the video on the night clearly shows Mingolet push Barry with both hands as the ball is played in. Barry’s arms go out as a natural reaction to the push.
Two things, 1 it’s a push and therefore a penalty, 2 if Mingolet had spent more time watching the ball instead of getting involved with Barry he may have actually got to the ball.

Mingolet was trying to stand him off to allow himself breathing space, your words, I suggest you watch the whole incident, the Baggies player is stationary in a position that makes it difficult for the keeper to come for a cross, which he is entitled to do, Mignolet pushes him in the back with both hands, after that the palmers arms go out and he backs in.
Sorry NB you need to watch the whole incident, not pick it up from a place that is convenient for your argument. You can’t push a player just because they’re in your way. Obstruction is moving to block an opponent, not standing still to make things difficult.

NB, you can stand where and how you like, which he did, he didn’t move to block the Keeper, that would be obstruction, you cant just push players out of the way thats a foul and hence should have been a penalty, thems the laws of the game…Pagan

9, asked Chuckles this, on the WBA disallowed goal, when the corner was taken the Pool goalie pushes with both hands the defender that was subsequently judged offside. Surely if VAR was used they should have picked that up.
Chuckles quite rightly said it happens many times in each game, but a push is a push.
Your thoughts 9?

NB, it’s £2 admission next week, also the tram system is involved, their only charging £2 for a journey ticket, so a day out at the footy for under a fiver.
Going to see how many of the youngest Sunday team want to go, I’ll stand the ticket price for whoever wants to go….Pagan

Chuckes, did you not think that the pool keeper initially pushed the Baggies player?
As for the third baggies goal, the player at the far post was behind the ball when it was played, 3 minutes to work that out, it’s a joke, didn’t want it and more anti it now than I was.
Nice to see you back….Pagan

Sean, goal was ruled out for offside, would like to see the push that came before again though…. Pagan

VAR, gave the WBA goal as offside, yet the incident started by Mingolet pushing the WBA player, so surely a penalty to WBA.
No argument with the Liverpool penalty, but the length of time taken to come to a decision is making the game farcical…. Not a fan of this at all….. Pagan

9, Noel and Liam back on good terms, so a stadium show could be on if city with the league.
Maiden, first saw them at the boat club in Notts, dc, saw them twice in 80, first time with Bon and Def Lep supported, the second with Brian singing, Starfighters supported them then, the Young’s cousin was in that band, he replaced Malcom on the last tour. Seen them a few times since but those two are memorable.
So what’s everyone’s best gig and why? so many reasons why a show can stand out….Pagan

NB, it was a different pre internet, well even pre cd, bands made money from records, and toured, sometimes at a loss to promote their records, so concerts were plentiful and cheap. Now they make considerably less money from their recordings and ridiculous amounts from touring and merchandise, wouldn’t swap my time seeing bands for any other, I will though say being young I probably didn’t appreciate how lucky I was at the time…Pagan

Gents, Ladies, as I’ve said before, I was lucky when it came music, I have an older brother that let me tag along to gigs, a mate at school had a lodger who was the entertainment secretary at the local uni, a relative who worked at a venue, and a friends auntie (well uncles girlfriend) that worked for Edwin Shirley Trucking, so tickets were relatively easy to get hold of.
Love music, mainly rock, love lyrics, hence I quite often quote them, sorry if my fortunate past irks anyone…Pagan

Jim, that’ll be me then, I will say that hitchhiking down to Knebworth with a mate at 14 does get you a damn good talking to by your parents, had the sense to phone them once I was there to let them know where I was.
Too young for the Beatles Mav, but for me out of the big 3 of The Who, The Stones and The Beatles, I’d put them in that order and I’ve seen two out of three so I’m happy with that.

Queen were fantastic live, Freddie had stage presence, there are a few with that strange ability. Quo live in their heyday were always a good night out. Only saw Zep the once, and was slightly disappointed to be honest, however not long after Bonhams death Plant and Page played together in a local music venue/pub, no Zep material, just bluesy stuff, now that was a good gig….Pagan
