Alfie, when Man Utd were dominating, you lot constantly banged on about a conspiracy agaist you, the same happened with Chelsea fans and now the Man City fans are treading the same path.
As for the respect campaign from the FA, they tried to bring it in bottom up, which has failed spectacularly, as you say it needs to be bought in top down, any lip, arguing with the ref, any lack of respect, yellow card no question, if it’s a second yellow, so what.
It’s the only way they’ll stop it, but it’s the FA and they haven’t got the bottle to do it, so we’re stuck with what we’ve got…Pagan

16th March 2018 at 3:26 pm in reply to: The FA are "concerned" about City surrounding the referee. #181749, Chelsea fans went through it when they started winning things, the conspiracy theories, the plotting to knock the new boys down, it doesn’t exist, the FA are equally inept to all teams…..Pagan

16th March 2018 at 12:01 pm in reply to: The FA are "concerned" about City surrounding the referee. #181489, they’re not trying to stop it, they’re just paying it lip service, if they really meant it they’d be telling refs to yellow card anyone that approaches them in those situations, and if it’s a second yellow so be it….. Sorry NB, he should have been sacked, he now has no credibility criticising any foul play on the pitch, what he did was disgusting, and to be honest I’d be making the most pathetic grovelling apologies if I’d just messed a £1m a year job up. I have no sympathy…Pagan

NB, so spitting at a 14 year old girl is worse than spitting at grown man, sexist and ageist. Sorry but Sky have bottled this, basically they’re saying do what you like, you can always say sorry afterwards….Pagan

Blimey, that sums up the state of the world today, Stephen Hawkin is a footnote to Jim Bowen. RIP both of them….Pagan

Mav, ok, so you have good, great and one world class player, but a team will always beat a group of individuals. A team should always be greater than the sum of its parts…. Pagan

Not sure what kind of car Carragher was driving, but I would presume it has some sort of cd/mp3 player in it, could he not of just turned it up?
Come on somebody that is an IT genius, mock up the Nivea add with the little girl giving Klopp on the team bus the loser sign, then cutting to Carragher gobbing on her, it’s got viral vid written all over it….Pagan

NB, you’re a big fan of VAR, this is just a case of VAR being used in the real world?…..Pagan

One of the things that will effect this is if he usually claimed fuel allowance or travel expenses, if so then he was representing Sky at the time and as such will be subject to their disciplinery procedures…..Pagan

I think so too, however they have to stick to procedure and hold an investigation etc before they can decide on a course of action….Pagan

NB, you can’t go round doing things like that and think saying sorry is going to cut it. In nature there’s no rewards or punishments, just consequences….. Pagan

First things first, they have to sack him, if someone from where I work did that they’d be sacked, as would anyone in the media spotlight.
On a lighter note, it is comedy gold, the little girl in the Nivea ad that gives Klop the loser sign from her car when he waves to her from the team bus, how long before someone mocks him up gobbing on her

Alfie, totally agree, would be good if the assistant refs could keep up with the play lol, quite how a lino is meant to keep up with a player is beyond me, then that brings into effect Paralex error.
Not quite sure the technology is there for a camera to keep up with play, so I don’t think it can ever be totally error free….Pagan

Alfie, whilst the eventual best angle shows that he was marginally offside, was it a clear and obvious error? That’s what it’s there for, not trying to overrule an official for missing something that could only be accurately decided with various replays.
For me, and I don’t really want VAR, if we’re going to have it it needs to be for judgements of fact, which sort of makes offside very contentious as it’s not always yes no decision as the interfering part can come into play.
As I’ve said earlier, the goal should stand even if VAR was able to be used as it wasn’t a clear and obvious error….Pagan_____________________________

NB, clubs spend £500m plus on a stadium to use it 20ish times a year, not really a good business model, why would you then spend that money and then limit its use to half a dozen times…..Pagan
