Yes 9, heās getting his contract paid up, itās up to the two parties to decide what itās worth.
You could also say Ole has had to lose out on Ā£10.5m to relieve himself of his obligation to Manchester United.

Quote from Jose
“That was not mutual agreement – mutual agreement was in my first period at Chelsea where I agreed completely that it was time to change (2007). I was very keen to change, I was more than ready to go on my adventure to other countries – I wanted to go to Spain, to Italy.
“This time, it was not [mutual]. It was a decision by the owner and I was informed of that decision. And I accepted it, obviously, in a polite way.”
Interesting he says he was informed and accepted it, so consented
Come on 9 you can do better than thatā¦ā¦ā¦Pagan

Yet another selective cut and paste 9
āMourinho admits he once said heād never manage Spurs but jokes āThat was before Chelsea sacked meā
Jose, always spoke the truth?
Bet thereās thousands of Jose untruths out there, apparently he never had an interest in signing Ashley Cole as he was too short
Come on 9 at least use a credible witnessā¦ā¦.Pagan

Ok you 2, give me the grounds that Ole was as you say was āsackedā for.
No the media are very clever, they say sacked and then go on to say heās left the club.
If they thought they could sack, then they would, but they know theyād lose in court, so itās far cheaper to pay out early that wait until they can.
Would you rather pay out the compensation or lose the CL money for next season, a good business weighs up the risks and in this case itās pay compensationā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦Pagan

9, Ed, obviously you donāt have much to do with HR, as for sky they later go on to quote Manchester United as I posted before.
You both obviously donāt understand employment law yet seem to be experts on it, āsee you in courtā is probably a phrase you get to hear a lotā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦Pagan

Ed, having your contract terminated is different to being sacked, it means your no longer bound by it. If the employer thinks he can do that without having to pay out it will, but as Iāve said it has to be for breach of contract or gross misconduct.
Chelsea and Avram came to an agreement where the club paid Ā£5m to Avram in order to do so.
Doesnāt matter how big a business you are you have to prove breach of contract or gross misconductā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦Pagan

Ed, to sack someone they have to be in breach of contract or for gross misconduct.
Manchester United (as Chelsea have been in the past) are fearful that they wonāt finish high enough in the league to qualify for the CL, so believe a change of management is required.
If thereās a performance clause in his contract, then they canāt do anything about it until heās failed (mathematically impossible in this case) and is then too late to rectify for the club.
If a club could sack a manager then it would, but paying out a possibly failing manager is probably more cost effective that losing the CL moneyā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦Pagan

Ed, when you sack someone itās a disciplinary process, they have to have done something wrong or consistently failed to meet performance targets(which is a very long procedure)
What Manchester United have done is buy out the remainder of Oleās contract, Manchester have saved money and Ole is no longer bound by the T&Cs of his contract. The other option was to keep paying him and making him turn up to work every day to do nothing or put him on āgardening leaveā
Leaving by mutual consent is a win win for both parties, Ole gets a big wedge, can start a new job tomorrow and no blemish on his employment record, Manchester United get the change of management they want and save themselves some moneyā¦ā¦ā¦Pagan

Exactly Lucky, where I work, if you get sacked itās no compensation and you lose all the pension contributions the company has paid, same in the police, thatās why they all try to resign when they facing serious allegations.
Letās face it if we could all get a pay off, weād be trying to get sacked 12 months before we are due to retireā¦ā¦ā¦Pagan

From Manchester United
āIn a statement, Manchester United said Solskjaer had “left his role as manager”.
This is also from Sky, the same article actually, massive headline to get attention followed by the facts, 9 (king of the selective cut and paste) if they sacked him it would end up in court, theyāve paid him off end of storyā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦Pagan

9, Ole has not been sacked, if he had 100% it would end up in litigation, heās had his contract bought out, which means he has to lose something which is salary, but he gains not being employed so gets his freedom to work elsewhere. Canāt believe you donāt understand thatā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦Pagan

9, not overly sure your familiar with how being sacked works, if your sacked your employment is terminated with immediate effect and you donāt get compensation or any other benefits. Ole has had his contract paid off, if you note it says parted company with mutual consent, that is to say theyāve come to an agreement for him to leave with an appropriate compensation package which wonāt be the full salary but also wonāt have all the conditions they could enforce. You donāt get that if your sackedā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦Pagan

You donāt get paid if you get sacked 9, Ole is having his contract paid off, the discussion is how much they will pay and on what terms, such as when he can take up another position else whereā¦ā¦ā¦Pagan
