BB the thing with city is which team turns up. Honestly city are the only team in the comp that could literally hammer every team they play but they are just so inconsistent. I think Liverpool are becoming harder to beat but I don’t think they can blow teams away like city can when they are on their game. I would not be surprised one iota to see city hammer SU but by the same token it wouldn’t surprise me to see them struggle, it’s like tossing a coin.

Chelsea1967: mate I got pay tv on so I could watch the football & conned the boss into Netflix as well so paying more for sport is a no go. Thanks for that link I’ll give it a crack as I’d love to watch the game, I’ll just put it on mute.
Mak I genuinely miss not getting up early as I loved watching us, especially that year we just went all out attack. Although we weren’t really strong at the back I enjoyed watching that immensely. That said I’m more than happy watching us run away with the league so hopefully it continues & we can add our arch rivals to the list of victories we have mustered up._____________________________

Cheers Mak, would love to post more but struggling to find the time. Daughter just finished high school, young fella in the early teens & being a handful & add to that it’s summer here in Oz so I’m taking every opportunity to head to the surf (I’m about 1.5hrs from the coast) or taking the jet ski for a hoot to try and make the most of the warmer weather.
Add to that when fox sports lost the rights to the EPL over here I can’t even watch the games live any more & just getting the scores in the sports news has taken away a bit of the passion for the games if you know what I mean. I used to get up at stupid o’clock to watch the games live & loved it (the minister for war & finance & the kids weren’t as enthusiastic, esp when I started ranting & raving to myself) bit now I just get the scores.
Anyway hers to a great comfortable win v the mancs & a couple more straight after that so we can live a bit more comfortably on the run in.
Take care all._____________________________

Mak I think your right, the worrying thing is we all know city have the team to go on a massive winning streak so despite us looking great at the moment, it only takes a couple of losses for the doubt to creep in & city to get a sniff. Win the next couple & I’ll be a lot more relaxed about it.

We’d have to lose 5 more games than city to throw away our lead. I can see city going on a massive winning streak but I can’t see them going undefeated & us losing 5 games. I’m not calling it but gee it’s unlikely we’d lose it from here & even more so if we win the next 2. Drop points in the next few games though and maybe some doubt will creep in and city will get a slight sniff.
All if’s and buts though & the main thing for me is we look very solid at the moment & the togetherness with everyone involved with the club is the best I’ve seen it. Here’s to 3 points against our arch rivals.
Take care lads (and lassies if there’s any on here)._____________________________

Being honest I don’t think they have any other option other than be tight and try to hit us on the break. Rashford would be a huge loss if he doesn’t play. They do always lift against us but I’d be more than surprised if we didn’t get the cookies in this one.
As for the game after, I can see a very very tough game with a draw not being to bad a result there.
Here’s to another 3 points and a step closer to finally ending the EPL drought._____________________________

Nil, it’s just how it is mate, we know jose has a knack of making it difficult for us (and everyone else for that matter) so I fully expect them to be hard to beat. That said, we have got into the habit of finding a way to win these type of game & with nearly a week off and some players coming back from injury I’d like to think we will break them down. If we do get the 1st goal they will have to come out a bit more and that’s where I think we will do some damage, esp considering their injury crisis.
If they happen to get the 1st goal it’ll be very very tough because as we all know if jose is good at anything it’s shutting up shop. All in all I’d be disappointed if we didn’t get the cookies in this one._____________________________

So I got asked by a workmate if I think Liverpool will win this season. My response was “it’d take a monumental capitulation if we didn’t” (that’ll surprise most on here). I don’t like saying it as the last time I said I thought we’d win it we obviously f’d it up but even though we are only half way through the season I’m looking at it objectively. We are actually getting players back from injury so the depth will only improve (provided we don’t have a major injury crisis) & like manu in their dominant period we are finding way’s to win despite not playing particularly well. There just seems to be a togetherness among the club & it’s awesome to see as a long suffering (in an EPL sense) Liverpool supporter.
I’m certainly not calling it as there’s way too long to go but we are well & truly in the box seat to end our long wait for the holy grail.Cheers lads, take care.

442 there’s arguments for either side of the climate change debate & I often nod at both sides when they make a point. However using a 16 year old girl to push an agenda is wrong IMO. Yeah she’s passionate & it’s great young people have a voice but she’s not even old enough to go into a pub or vote or all the other stuff ADULTS do & I fail to see any benefit for her to be put at the forefront of such a heated subject other than give those on her side some sort of moral high ground.
Anyhow here’s to a return to football & a continuation of Liverpool’s charge to the ever elusive holy grail._____________________________

Spot on 9, what ever side of the climate debate your on she is a youngster that shouldn’t be used as to push an agenda, she should be able grow up without some of the crap she’s had to endure. I’m neither here nor there in regards to the climate debate, I think it’s a combination of things but either way a youngster shouldn’t be the global face of one side of this debate.

22nd December 2019 at 12:00 pm in reply to: Week 18: Yule Never Have A Better Chance To Win…. To Win… With Hope In Your. #57210We are in a great spot & I’m more confident this season we could hang on & get the monkey off our backs but it’s still far from over. With the injuries piling up & city still very capable of winning all their remaining games I’m not cutting the cake just yet. Add to that a massive game next up at Leicester & they aren’t out of it either.
Saying we are unstoppable & don’t know how to lose is crazy just half way through the season. Napoli know how to beat us & I fully expect us to lose a couple of games yet. Granted we’d have to lose a few but it’s by no means sealed yet._____________________________

I’d be more than stunned if we don’t get the cookies at Anfield, as should the foxes. city gooners should be interesting but I think city will get the goodies there. Pretty straight forward for the rest of the top teams by the looks of it.

Nine I very clearly remember you saying before xmas last season that it was Liverpools to lose & a couple of other comments basically saying it’s take a miracle if anyone else won it (couldn’t be bothered looking back to see your exact wording) and we know what happened there.
No matter what anyone say’s this title is far from over, 8 points is a few draws or losses away from being very tight and with over half the season still to play that could well happen.
Liverpool haven’t really had a blip yet, the same as around this stage last season, but there will be a point where we drop points and with Leicester having no C/L or other distractions they can once again put all their efforts into the EPL. We also know city can put q long winning streak together as well. We looked unbeatable this time last season so I doubt you’ll hear many Liverpool fans saying they think we’ll win it until it’s close to mathematically out of the question. I hope those saying we will win it are correct but it’s too early to call yet._____________________________

Jeez lads we are not even half way through the season & we travel to our nearest rival in the near future with only an 8 point gap between us & them. Whilst we are looking very good that Gerrard slip season & last season proved the title race is nowhere near over. It only takes a VVD injury &/or Mane getting injured & a dip in form to a couple of key players & that 8 point gap could be gone in a few games.
Granted Leicester would have to keep winning but they look very solid as well.
I thought the superior depth of city is why they got us last season & strangely I think that is where we maybe edge Leicester. If they lose Vardy or another key player they will struggle but they don’t have the amount of games we have either.
It will certainly be an interesting 2nd half of the season but it’s a long long way from being over.
By the way San Diego is an awesome place, been to LA, Sam Fran, Vegas & now San Diego & it’s by a long way my favourite place.
Take care all._____________________________

I’m on holidays in the US of A so only just getting results here & there. How good are Liverpool going, damn long may it continue & we can get that EPL hoodoo off the back.
I’ve always liked Shaq so glad to see him go well & get a goal. Origi continues to turn up in the big games so stoked for him as well. Big test coming up over the busy festive season so hopefully we can keep the roll going.
As for the TT posters, I’m with Mak. Ginger is a know it all **** that’s thinks he’s far superior to everyone else. He’s the type that says you have a right to your opinion but if it isn’t the same as him your wrong. Like Mal I hope he never starts posting on here as imo he’d turn it into the ****fight TT has descended into.
Anyhows take care all & up the mighty scousers._____________________________

G’day lads & lassies, sorry to buy in on your page but I’ve got a mate I work with who’s from the spuds area & his family are still season ticket holders. We’ve had a bit of banter going in recent seasons & I genuinely had you lot as being up there challenging us for a top 2 spot this season. I asked him why he thinks your not going so well & he thinks it’s because a few of your top players have not committed to the club & their contracts are getting down. Add to that all the talk from the start of the season about Poch also not committing & maybe real being an option. Do you think this is about eight? Whatever it is it’s sad because you were certainly heading on the right direction & looked like a title wasn’t unrealistic.
Take care all._____________________________

Sean me ole mucker, don’t take the bait brother, you keep falling for it. I said it before Adlab & as we are seeing moos are very reasonable & respectful when they’re on top & winning bit their true colours come out when things aren’t going how they want. Have a giggle at them mate & let them go, their bitterness will make them look like prized plums.
