Nine Did you not see the names on the city bench. You are kidding yourself if you think others have the luxury of bringing in quality players like that to cover injuries, It’s not like I’m making it up.

Yeah Adlab, you poor buggers, you only had Stirling, Aguero, Sane, Silva x2, kompany you know just bums like that starting. Then I bet you really panicked with the likes of Jesus, Otamendi, stones & Mahrez on the bench. I don’t know how you cope missing a couple of 1st teamers.

TBA I actually thought we were more than lucky in our last encounter with you & I think you have a very good team. I see spurs like we were a season or 2 ago, good 1st 11 but struggle with depth over a full season. As city have shown over recent seasons, depth is key over a full season. We are getting there & as a result are becoming more competitive but city had a massive head start, I mean when you get an injury to KDB and have the luxury of bringing on Fernandinho as a replacement you know your in a pretty good way.
I do think with a bit of investment you could be right up there challenging us for 2nd next season as you have a good foundation to build so hopefully for your lot you spend a bit. You’ve dome amazingly well to be in the semis of the C/L, I actually hope if we get through you don’t as I see you are a bigger problem for us in the final. If we don’t go through I genuinely hope you win it.

manu buying Pogba etc is indeed a perfect example of not spending properly so of course you have to spend it where you need it. I’ve said many times after watching Pep & Klopp changing tactics to nullify each showed how very smart they are & they are great managers. Pep has had to gel the players & has done a great job of it. This is the last time I’ll mention money, scouts honour, but you will never convince me that the extra money city has spent isn’t the reason they are so far ahead of everyone else. Of course Liverpool spent big, they had to just to stay close. It’s no surprise the big money spenders win most of the big titles is it.
Early prediction for next season, city will spend big & will win the EPL again. It isn’t rocket science & it’s why I’m not as into the sport as I used to be.
Anyhow enough of this debate for me, I’m checking out.

Threeps agree mate, manu buying the likes of Sanchez & Pogba were luxury buys IMO. This is why Klopp has done so well, he bought where we needed it. Keeper, top CB, LB etc. manu do need an overhaul so hopefully it’ll take them as long as it did us to be competitive regularly.

Threeps no offence taken from me mate, we just see things differently. Some are saying it’s not about money yet the richest teams seem to win everything. I must admit my love of the game has died since city & chelsea got rich owners & simply bought success. I think we have the best manager we’ve had in decades, along with great owners & assembling a fantastic squad which will get a record number of points & still not win the EPL. I’m not bitter like some suggest, it’s jist the way things are, I hate the fact money dominates all sport these days but nothing you can do about it.
Pep knows his stuff & has made them a well oiled machine so they deserve to win titles. Maybe the C/L will be their goal next season as I’m sure that’s a major goal. We can only hope & they take their eye off the ball in the EPL because if we don’t get the holy girl under Klopp I can’t see it happening for a long long time.
Anyhow enough from me, Sean pretty much has my views so we will see what happens next season.

Jeezus settle down Nil, everyone expected city to win it at the start of the season mate so it’s hardly a surprise. I suggest not getting to caught up with it all mate, with us pushing city all the way this season I expect a hefty spend in the summer to keep them ahead of everyone else and yet again being the benchmark so it’ll be more of the same again. Sadly it’s all about money old mate so don’t get to caught up in it.

Threeps I could same the same zzzz about those that kept & keep saying city will drop points. Believe it or not I’m a pretty optimistic person in general & have a bright happy outlook on life. I just call the football as I see it mate, I know some don’t agree but so be it. I don’t like what football has become, you can literally buy comps, but I do like watching it, especially last season when it was heavy metal footy, brilliant to watch.
Mak, I can’t just change & be optimistic, the way I see it city have spent a shed load more than everyone else & therefor I expect them to win the EPL, much like most others said at the start of the season. We’ve done a lot better than I thought we would & can be proud of our club. I love Klopp & think he will win something at Liverpool but reality is it’s not on our hands. The C/L is & I’m genuinely optimistic we can go further. Here’s to a manu upset tonight (Oz time). I do think we are going to win our remaining games so we are still a chance but I don’t like relying on hem to drop points.

The team having a crack won so great result IMO. I get why they defended in numbers but as a neutral I’d rather see teams having a crack so good on Spurs.

I think with a C/L campaign still ongoing LFC are far more likely to drop points than city. In all honesty Wolves would be the most difficult opponent either has to face but for me is both will probably win all remaining EPL games. As Sean said many moons ago, as soon as it’s out of Liverpool’s hands, it’s over.

Sorry HH meant win their remaining games in a canter. Yeah I expected it to be well & truly over by now but we’ve hung tough. Sean was spot on, as soon as they took it out of our hands it’s over. I’ve said many times we are batting above what we should be & I’m proud as punch we have pushed the moneybags all the way & are once again in the semis of the C/L. We will hear once again how next year we will be even better & the rest of it but for me this season was our big opportunity to break the EPL duck & once again we blew it.
We won’t be the only ones strengthening next season & seeing how big a scare we’ve given city I fully expect them to spend big & keep us at arms length once again.
Still optimistic about the C/L though, hopefully we can get at their backs with our speed but any team with Suarez & Messi are going to be a handful. Should be an interesting couple of games.

Anyway lads hopefully a win tonight with no injuries. I do think we are a better chance of getting at Barca & into another final, at least that’s in our hands & we are going exceptionally well but I never like to see us drop points & I’m proud of the grit we’ve shown to push the moneybags all the way. Off to bed for me.

Haha true HH I did expect is to be out of it with 4 or 5 to go but whether it’s 4 or 5 or just a point, it doesn’t really matter does it.
Nil your post is exactly what I’m saying, every year it’s something, this year it’ll be we nearly hit 100 points but still didn’t win it, Mak says the only reason we won’t win is because there’s a team more freakier than us, you see what I mean, next year, next year. You say next season we will get better as there is togetherness & we will get better, do you think c$ty will just sit still, they have a lot more funds available than us & they will strengthen again. We are batting way above our average just competing with them over a season as it is let alone them strengthening.
All sport is these days is the club with the most money wins, you can literally buy comps & I hate it.
